Chapter 26

The call went silent for two seconds before Blake said in his cold voice, “Jane, if you want to continue this nonsense, your brother might not have a double bonus this season. He might not even get half of what’s due.”

If Jessica wanted to get her body checked, Blake could guarantee that she would get the same result no matter which hospital she went to in Beijing.

“Come on, I’m just speaking the truth,” Jane said with a flattering smile. She then smirked in front of her computer screen, but she realized Blake could not see her at all. However, she was practically petting the tiger here. Even if he could not see her, she must smile to show her sincerity.

“And…I also told your wife…something else…”

“What?” Blake was running out of patience. Acting shy was not Jane’s style.

“I told her that one of the reasons she couldn’t get pregnant in the past two years could be you, so, Mr. Ferguson, please forgive me for the white lie!” Jane blurted everything out and hung up the phone right away. She took a deep breath before drinking a mouthful of water.

A few years ago, Jane had tried to go after Blake, but he had barely responded to her. He was all arrogant and chaste and ultimately got a mute as a wife. Therefore, Jane took this opportunity to take a little revenge on him.

…

Jessica had promised that she would bring her colleagues and the children to a barbeque party, so after she came back from the hospital, she hid the medicine in the room and prepared to go out.

Winson kicked up a fuss, wanting to go together. Jessica originally wanted to bring him along, but when she was at the door, she saw Lady Cecilia.

Jessica was stunned. Lady Cecilia almost never came here. Usually, with a call, Jessica had to go back to the old manor or Lady Cecilia would send someone over to pick Winson up.

Although Jessica nodded and greeted her, Lady Cecilia did not even bother to talk to her. She simply grunted. She saw Jessica carrying a bag and she slightly furrowed her brows. “Where are you going?”
