Chapter 102 Decided

Lyla. “...”

“Aren’t I here now, well and healthy?” Lyla asked.

Lily reacted at those words and looked at her. “Oh, you’re right!”

Her concern had turned chaotic.

Lyla laughed. “Why aren’t you at work?”

“I’ll be discussing a case around 10:30 in the morning and happened to pass by, so I came to see you!” Lily said.

Lyla nodded.

Only now did Lily have the leisure to look around. “Are these your children?”

“Yep!” Lyla nodded, looking forward to Lily’s surprise.

As expected, Lily stared at Hansel and Gretel. Needless to say, Gretel was a spitting image of Lyla, but Lily completely froze upon seeing Hansel.

“Why does he look so familiar?” Lily asked.

Lyla did not say anything, but Hansel smiled gentlemanly at Lily. “Hello!”

“Hello…” Lily greeted him back. Just as she said those words, she instantly remembered.

“He, h-he…” Lily stared at Hansel and stammered out a word after a long time. She looked at Lyla anxiously. “Why does he look exactly the same as Mr. Pattinson?”

Look. Everyone who saw Hansel would think the same.

Lyla could not hide it.

“Calm down!” Lyla said.

Calm down? Lily was about to go mad! “W-What’s going on?”

She would believe it if they were just a little similar, but they were spitting images!

Lyla looked at Lily. She wanted to find an opportunity to tell Lily but did not know where to start. Since Lily saw Hansel today, Lyla also confessed.

Lily sat on the bed and was stunned upon hearing this bombshell.

“So, he’s… He’s really Mr. Pattinson’s son?” Lily finally reacted after a long time.

Lyla nodded.

“In other words, Mr. Pattinson knows too?!” Lily was in disbelief again.

Lyla nodded again.

Lily fell silent.

She looked at Lyla, and then at the twins, not knowing what to say.

It turned out that melodramatic incidents like this really existed in the world.

At that moment, Hansel looked at Lily. “Miss, there’s soup. Do you want some?”

“Huh?”

“Haven’t you always wanted to try Hansel’s cooking? You’re in luck today!” Lyla laughed.

“You… made this?” Lily asked Hansel.

By that point, Hansel had already brought a bowl of soup and nodded with a smile.

“Thank you!” Lily said and took a sip. Then, she froze.

“How is it?” Lyla asked with a smile.

“You’re so lucky!”

“Huh?”

“Your son is so good at cooking. Why haven’t you been fattened up already?” Lily asked curiously.

“I can’t help it. I was born this way!”

Lily rolled her eyes forcefully. In the past, Lily had tried the food Lyla brought to the company, which she said was made by Hansel. Now that she tried the soup, she was much calmer.

Afterward, she looked at Hansel and Gretel and could not help but sigh. “It’s amazing. It’s really amazing!”

However, she remembered what happened to Kathleen Turner, and now Lyla had children with Mark. It seemed like their positions had been switched.

Lily looked at Lyla. “Do you think Kathleen Turner would die from anger if she found out?”

Lyla’s expression shifted at Kathleen’s name and she said, “Lily, don’t tell anyone about this for now!”

“Why?” Lily was puzzled. Kathleen acted high and mighty after getting pregnant, but now Lyla appeared with two of her own, and they were even several years old already. What was Lyla afraid of?

“It’s complicated to explain, but please help me to keep it a secret!” Lyla emphasized every word.

Lyla rarely spoke to her so calmly and seriously. She must have a reason for saying so, so Lily nodded. “Okay, I understand. But you must understand that the truth can’t be hidden forever. She’ll find out sooner or later!”

“I know that. Just help me hide it for now!” Lyla said helplessly.

She still did not know how her injury occurred. If it were really because of Kathleen Turner, that meant that her jealousy was too strong. If she learned of Hansel and Gretel’s existence, she definitely would not just sit by and do nothing.

Therefore, Lyla did not want Kathleen to know for now.

Seemingly seeing Lyla’s worries, Lily comforted her. “Don’t think too much about it. The Turner family is dealing with an incident now. She doesn’t even have time to take care of herself, let alone others!”

“I’m afraid precisely because of that. A cornered rat will bite the cat!” Lyla said.

Lily nodded at her words. “That’s true. Your thoughts are as thorough as usual!”

“You’ll be the same when you become a mother!”

Lily laughed. “I’ll be satisfied if I give birth to a child half as good as Hansel and Gretel!”

“That’ll depend on the genes!” Hansel spoke before Lyla had the chance to.

Lily was first stunned, and then she laughed.

The group sat together, chatting and laughing. When it was 10:00 am, Lily finally had to leave.

“I’ll see you some other day. I came in such a hurry today that I didn’t bring anything!”

“Why are you talking about that with our relationship?”

Lily stuck her tongue out. “I’m leaving!”

Lyla nodded, and Lily left.

Lyla felt much more comfortable after chatting with her for so long. Then, seeing Lyla seemingly a little tired, Hansel and Gretel went out to buy something while Lyla took the opportunity to sleep for a while.
