Chapter 104 There Was Something Wrong

Thus, Gretel told Hansel what happened.

After Hansel heard it, his expression changed.

Regarding Kathleen’s miscarriage, Hansel did not feel anything at all, and even felt that she deserved it.

He had already tolerated her countless times, but she was still not satisfied.

Hansel was the kind of person that would not care about anyone who was not related to him.

Even though it was Kathleen who got caught up in an accident, Hansel was still sick of her.

She should have known better.

After pondering, he opened his mouth. “I’ll go see Mummy in her room!”

Gretel nodded.

People say that the daughter is the apple of her mother's eye, but Gretel was not capable of comforting others. Hansel was much better than her in this respect.

Watching Hansel head to the room, Gretel went back to her own room to change clothes.

In the room, Lyla was sitting on the bed. No one knew what she was thinking.

In the corridor incident last time, Lyla was quick not to blame herself because she felt that she had no direct responsibility.

However, this time was different. They really had physical contact, and even Lyla was unsure whether her action was what caused the loss of a small child...

After hearing from the doctor that the child could not be saved, she suddenly thought of an incident while she was overseas and how she almost lost both Hansel and Gretel. She could still remember how it felt.

Just as her mind wandered, the door was knocked and pushed open, and Hansel walked in.

“Mummy!”

Lyla looked at him and smiled.

That smile made Hansel feel distressed, and he walked over. “Mummy, I heard everything from Gretel!”

She should have already guessed that Gretel had told him everything.

“I’m fine, you don’t have to worry!”

It would be great if she were really fine.

Hansel looked at her. “Mummy, I’m not here to comfort you. I’m here to remind you!”

“Remind me of what?”

“Don’t you find this incident weird?” asked Hansel.

Lyla knitted her brows.

“Even if it was really you who pushed her, she lost her child just by hitting the door? She didn’t even fall to the ground!” said Hansel.

If he never mentioned it, Lyla would not have even thought of it, but now that the point was brought up, she also started to think.

No matter how fragile Kathleen was, it should not be to that extent.

However, what was even going on?

Lyla furrowed her brows as she thought about this.

Seeing Mummy not saying anything, Hansel knew he was right to cut to the chase.

“Mummy, it’s possible that she didn’t want that child at all and deliberately set you up to make you feel guilty and unhappy!” Hansel said. That point was highly possible.

Could that be the case?

However, remembering the scene where Kathleen rushed out of her ward, it did not look like that at all.

Lyla thought about what had happened, but she could not figure it out.

“Mummy, you used to tell me that one shouldn’t blame themself before things are clear. When things finally get clearer, it won’t be too late to blame yourself then. This was what you taught me. Did you forget?” Hansel looked at Lyla and asked.

“Of course I remember!”

“Mummy, even if it was really because of you, she was the one at fault. If she didn't want to attack Gretel and you, you wouldn’t have done as much. Besides, you're still injured. How strong can you be? Am I right?" Hansel asked.

That was true.

She also did not expect that Kathleen would lose the baby with just that light bump.

At that moment, Gretel finished changing and came in as well. She heard what Hansel had said and immediately nodded. “Hansel is right. She’s even more fragile than the olden people from TV dramas!”

Her words instantly made Lyla laugh.

“Mummy, you laughed!” Hansel was relieved.

Lyla looked at them. “I know that you’re concerned about me. Don’t worry, I’m fine!”

“Okay!”

“Mummy, can we eat now?” Gretel asked.

Lyla smiled. “Go ahead first. I’ll wash my hands before going!”

“Okay, then we’ll wait for you!”

“Sure!”

Watching them go out, Lyla sat on the bed and sighed deeply.

She did not know what was happening and did not want to worry Hansel and Gretel, so she simply gathered her composure and walked out.

…...

In the hospital.

Mark knew that if this matter was not resolved, that woman’s heart would remain uncomfortable.

Kathleen Turner had been screaming and shouting in the ward, but now had fallen unusually silent.

The pair of eyes had lost their usual luster and was filled with hate.

She vowed to avenge her dead child!

‘Lyla Lowe, Mark Pattinson!!!

‘I’ll definitely make you pay the price in blood.’
