Chapter 122 Mark Educates The Children

As this was not what he was after, Mark raised a brow. “Free up your afternoon!”

“Why?” Lyla held her guard up.

Displeased by the tone, Mark lifted his head and paused on each word. “Do. It!”

Lyla. “...”

She rolled her eyes at him. The more she had gotten to know this man, the more he was without moral integrity.

“In short, wait for me downstairs after lunch. Got it?” Mark stared at her and said.

“You should at least tell me... where we’re going?” Lyla wanted to find out what they were going to do but was afraid of what Mark might say next. Hence, she abruptly corrected herself.

Mark still had his eyes on her. “You’ll know once we’re there. You may leave now!!!”

Lyla. “...”

Mark was the kind that would not budge despite the questioning when he refused to speak. Hence, Lyla stopped asking.

She nodded and left the office.

Now that everything was back to the way it was, the employees were filled with enthusiasm to work. However, the shareholders were the happiest amid this change as they had nothing to worry about with the shares going back up and sales remaining stable.

After lunch, Lyla let Lily know before heading downstairs.

Afraid that she might attract attention, Lyla specifically stood at a corner.

While driving out, Mark could see a figure standing away from the entrance from afar. With a frown, he drove on over.

Noticing that it was him as the car pulled up, Lyla pulled open the door and got in.

“Why are you waiting here?”

“I don’t want people in the office to misunderstand!”

Mark. “...”

She was clearly trying to keep a distance.

“Your attempt to cover things up just makes it more suspicious!” Mark commented.

It may be so but Lyla was only after peace of mind. Unwilling to dwell on the topic further, she enquired, “Where are we going?”

“To pick up our son and daughter from school!”

“Why are we picking them up?”

Bombarded by the questions, Mark turned over and rolled his eyes.

Lyla got the message and shut up.

Lyla could rest a little if Hansel and Gretel were brought along. With them around, Mark would not mess around.

The drive to Hansel and Gretel’s school took twenty minutes.

It had slipped Lyla’s mind how eye-catching a Rolls Royce could be.

“I’ll go pick them up!” Taking the lead, Lyla got down from the car and moved towards the school.

Without her saying, Mark knew what was going through her head.

Once she was gone, Mark parked the car and unbuckled his seatbelt before heading in.

It never occurred to Hansel and Gretel that Lyla would come pick them up at the school. This was a first.

Coincidently, Hansel had his face down, snoozing away.

The teacher took the opportunity to tell on him when Lyla came to pick them up.

Lyla kneaded her temples. Of all the times to come, she arrived only to be met by the teacher’s complaints.

“Don’t worry, I will speak to him later!”

Hansel and Gretel stood at a corner, unbothered, as if they were not the subjects being spoken of.

Just then, Mark emerged from behind. “Miss, may I ask, how is Hansel doing with his studies?”

“Uh...”

The teacher was taken aback by Mark’s sudden appearance. One reason was due to his awesomely good looks and another reason was because she did not know how to answer.

“And you are?”

“My daddy!” Gretel blurted.

The teacher bobbed her head. She should have known after a glimpse at Mark’s looks.

“Hello!” Mark smiled at the female teacher.

It was not Mark’s intention to make eyes but the teacher blushed for some reason.

Watching nearby, Lyla could not help but shake her head. He had only his looks to blame for.

“Miss, you have not answered my question!”

“About that... Hansel and Gretel are doing good, holding steady at first place!”

Mark then turned to Hansel and praised him. “You’re such a genius. You’re the top of your class despite sleeping!”

“I’m a genius, you know!”

The father and son played off one another really well.

There were no words to describe the expression on the teacher’s face.

This may be a fact but the way she saw it, this was undoubtedly spoiling the child.

Mark then turned his gaze to the teacher. “Miss, I hope that he’s able to keep up with the achievement. Please let me know once the report card is ready!”

Huh?

What was the meaning of this?

Mark handed over a name card. “Thank you!”

The teacher was at a loss as she looked at the name card in hand.

Mark grinned. “If that’s the case, we’ll get going then!” He happily grabbed Gretel and walked out.

Lyla. “...”

Hansel followed close behind while Lyla let out a smile at the teacher before moving along.

Later, the teacher gazed at the name card in her hand. M.K. Group...

She lifted her gaze to meet the receding figures. She thought Hansel and Gretel were without a father.

Why did a father pop out of nowhere?

...

In the car.

Gretel was bubbling over with excitement. Mommy and Daddy came together to pick them up from school.

“Mommy, Daddy, where are we going?” Gretel asked.

“You’ll know once we get there!’
