Chapter 130 Hansel’s Intelligence

Lyla wanted to say something more but found that Mark had already fallen asleep.

His exhausted look made Lyla feel reluctant to wake him up.

However, looking at his sleeping face, Lyla’s heart gradually calmed down. Her gaze towards him was especially soft.

When he slept, he looked completely different from his usual ostentatious self.

He was much quieter and sexier in his sleep, and his handsome face made Lyla lament the unfairness of God.

Lyla sighed and tried to push him away, but found that she could not move at all. She frowned and pushed harder, but Mark suddenly encircled her harder and hugged her tightly...

Lyla frowned. Was he pretending to sleep?

“Mark Pattinson…” Lyla pushed him and called his name but did not receive a response. “Are you pretending to be asleep?” She asked.

There was still no answer.

“Mark…” Lyla pushed him gently again, but Mark still did not move. He slept soundly while hugging her.

In the end, Lyla sighed and gave up struggling. Whether he was really asleep or just faking it, he had no intention of letting her go. Lyla was also a little sleepy, so she closed her eyes and let Mark hold her as she slept.

When her breathing evened out, Mark’s eyes slowly opened. The corners of his mouth hooked up in a smile of satisfaction looking at Lyla sleep, and he hugged her even closer and slept as well.

…...

In the other room.

Hansel was ready to go to bed when the phone rang. He looked at the number before answering it.

“Hello!”

“Boss, where are you?”

“Sleeping at home. Why?” Hansel asked casually.

“Nothing, I’m downstairs now, but they said you moved house!” Piers Brion said over the phone.

“Oh, I did move but I forgot to tell you. What’s wrong? Did something happen?” Hansel asked.

“Yes!” Piers said.

Hansel frowned at this. “What happened?”

“The new goods are being delivered, but they were stopped by someone!” Piers said.

Hansel frowned. Damn it, something still ended up happening.

“Come pick me up immediately!”

“Sure, but where are you?” Piers asked.

“Parch Urban!”

Then, Hansel hung up. He lay on the bed and pondered before getting up and walking to Gretel’s room.

The door was unlocked, and Hansel pushed the door open and went in. Gretel was hugging her stuffed bear and sleeping soundly.

“Gretel, Gretel!” Hansel patted her shoulder.

“Hansel, stop it, I’m sleepy!” Gretel said.

“Something happened!” Hansel said.

Gretel was stunned upon hearing this. Then her eyes opened and she sat up on the bed.

“What’s wrong, Hansel? What happened?” Gretel asked him. Her sleepiness was gone, and her small and cute face had become serious.

“There’s a problem with the goods. I’m going to deal with it now, so you wait at home. If Daddy or Mummy asks, tell them that I went out to handle something!”

“I’ll go with you!”

“If we both go, Mummy and Daddy will definitely become suspicious, so you stay at home and help me appease them!” Hansel said. These two things were very important.

Gretel knew that Hansel never let her participate in anything dangerous. She could not go against her brother, but she was still worried. “Will there be danger?”

Hansel shook his head. “Probably not. Don’t worry, Piers will be there. I won’t be in danger!” Hansel patted her shoulder.

Gretel nodded at that. “If anything happens, you have to inform me!”

“Yep. I’ll go now!”

“Okay!” Gretel nodded.

Hansel then turned and left.

After changing his clothes, he walked out of Parch Urban. Piers’s car had already arrived and he was looking around.

When Hansel walked up to him, he hurriedly opened the car door.

“Boss, I finally found you. To move to a place like this, you’re really willing to spend!” Piers said with a face of envy.

Hansel sat in the car with a nonchalant face. “I didn’t buy it!”

“If you didn’t buy it, then who did?”

“My Daddy!”

Piers. “...”

Well, since Hansel had a rich dad, he could just rely on his father’s wealth to get ahead. Piers started the car and drove away.

“Where are we going?”

“The goods are on the way but can’t pass. We have no way of delivering on time!” Piers said.

“How did this happen? Didn’t it go well last time?”

“I don’t know why, but this time, a group of ordinary people suddenly rushed out to stop us. I didn’t dare to act without permission. If an argument breaks out, it’ll be troublesome when we’re delivering more goods in the future. More importantly, if this blows up, even the goods will be in danger!” Piers said clearly, analyzing the current situation.

Hansel listened. His small and childish face was very serious. “You’re right. We can’t tackle this head-on!”

“What should we do now?” Piers asked.

“Let me think!” Hansel said.

Then, he looked out the window. His hand held his head as he deliberated, serious and silent.

Piers glanced at him sideways. Although he had long recognized this as a fact, he still found it difficult to accept that a small child had such great wisdom. Saying he was a genius would be underselling it.

At that time, Hansel thought of something and turned to Piers. “Have you found out who the other party is?”

“They’re a local gang called Ruby Tears, but they seem to have a powerful backer and are quite powerful!” Piers said.
