Chapter 144 Mark Getting Jealous

“I wish I could keep you away from this war, but Arden insists on pulling you in as his trump card against me. Lyla, do you think I need to use you to fight him?”

Lyla looked at Mark’s deep eyes and could not say anything for a while.

Mark really did not need to use her to deal with others as far as he was concerned. Moreover, Mark did not think that it was worth it anyway. Lyla only said that on the spur of the moment. Now that she saw his expression, Lyla did not know how to respond.

“Lyla, do you even have a conscience?”

“I just don't want to get caught between you and Arden!”

“Then it’s best that you don’t ever see him again!”

“I planned to do so, and I told him clearly today. However, Mr. Pattinson, if you make such a fuss, I don’t think he’ll admit defeat, and will come to me again!”

“Uh.”

Mark was startled and looked at her in surprise. “What did you say?”

“Did I say anything wrong?”

“You said you told him very clearly just now?” Mark asked as he frowned and looked at her.

“That’s not the point…”

“That’s the point!”

Lyla, “...”

Mark's originally gloomy face suddenly showed a hint of joy. “Repeat what you just said!”

Lyla frowned as she saw that he was happy for some reason. “What’s there to say?”

“Say it, quickly!”

“I said that he’ll definitely not admit defeat…”

“Not that, the previous line!”

“I told him about it clearly…” Lyla looked at him.

“Yes, that. You said that you’ve told him clearly, so what did you tell him?” Mark looked at her and asked her happily.

Lyla, “...”

It turned out that Mark was excited about this.

After looking at him for a while, Lyla adjusted her seat and looked ahead. “Nothing!”

Mark frowned and his eyes narrowed. “Do you think that I’m deaf?”

“Even if I did say anything, it’s between me and Arden. It has nothing to do with you, right, Mr. Pattinson?” Lyla asked.

Mark got angry. “Lyla, are you kidding me?”

“How am I kidding you?”

“You just said you had feelings for me a few days ago!”

“That was a few days ago!” Lyla said indifferently.

“So what you mean is that those days are just gone?” Mark asked as he looked at her with an extremely dark expression.

Lyla did not deny it.

Mark really wanted to strangle her.

“Are you even a woman?”

“I am a woman, that’s why I always change my mind. Don’t you know that a woman's mind is the hardest to guess?”

Mark was completely angry. He grabbed Lyla and forced her to look directly at him. “Lyla, let me tell you, you better keep having feelings for me, otherwise, I can’t guarantee what’ll I do!”

Upon seeing that Mark was so agitated and valued that she had feelings for him, it would be a lie if Lyla did not feel anything. She looked at him and was moved for a moment.

She calmly looked up at Mark's eyes, and then she spoke after a long time, “Then what’ll you do if I have feelings for others?”

“Don’t you dare!” Mark warned her as he looked at her, but he did not notice the strangeness in her eyes.

“What if?”

“I’ll definitely kill him!” Mark said. This was definitely not just some casual talk.

He thought that he would definitely be jealous of that person. Once he became jealous, he would not even know the things that he might do.

Although this sounded a bit cruel, Lyla’s heart trembled slightly.

She was trembling from what Mark had said.

She smiled. “Why don't you just kill me?”

“Lyla, you…”

Lyla looked at him and smiled.

The smile made Mark unspeakably terrified. “Say it, do you have feelings for Arden? Do you?” Mark looked at her and asked.

“I already said no!”

“Then who is it?”

“No one, not anyone!”

“I don't believe it, Lyla, who the hell is that person? I need to kill him!” Mark was annoyed, the moment he started thinking about a man going into Lyla’s heart, he really wanted to kill him out of jealousy.

“Him? He’s a bastard!”

“Who is it? What’s his name?” Mark asked.

Lyla looked at him. “You really want to know?”

“Obviously!”

“What would you do after you know it?”

A cruel smile appeared from the corners of Mark’s lips. “I’ll definitely kill him!”

Mark did not care about anything anymore.

“Mark Pattinson, really? I only have feelings for someone and you become like this?”

“Damn, do you think this isn’t enough?” Mark was almost going crazy because of her.

Lyla took a deep breath. “Fine, you said it yourself!”

“Say it!”

At that moment, Lyla stretched out her index finger and poked Mark’s hard chest.
