Chapter 312 Mark’s Ruthlessness

Mark did not know whether it was good or bad to give Hansel such hope, but he wanted to learn from Lyla and give Hansel a wide place for unrestricted thinking. Even if he found out that it was wrong one day, he would only be upset for some time, and nothing would happen.

“When are you planning to leave?” Mark asked.

“As soon as my injury is healed!” Hansel said.

Mark nodded. “Take care of yourself!”

“I will!”

They agreed on the matter, but Gretel stood at the side and did not say anything.

Mark looked at her. “Gretel, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you talking?”

“It’s nothing!” Gretel said without raising her head. However, it was clear from her mood that something was up.

Hansel looked at her. “Are you angry that I didn’t tell you anything?”

“Brother can do whatever he wants to do. When has he ever discussed with me before?” Gretel huffed.

Hansel sighed. “Okay, okay, I know you’re angry, but you’re wrong about me this time. Of course, I’ll bring you as well!”

Gretel was stunned when she heard that. “Hansel, are you serious?”

“Of course I am. We have to go to Hell’s Angels eventually, so consider it as going there to familiarize ourselves with the place this time!”

Gretel was quite happy. “But…” She looked at Mark, still a little worried and uneasy.

Mark knew what they were concerned about and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t be like before. You can rest assured!”

“Daddy…” Although Gretel wanted to go, she could not bear to leave Mark.

At that moment, Mark smiled. “Don’t worry, I’m really fine!”

Only then did Gretel nod. “Hansel and I will come back to see you often!”

Mark smiled. “Let’s eat!”

Hansel and Gretel both nodded.

In this meal, the one who ate the happiest was probably Lingo.

Mark’s matter was resolved, Hansel and Gretel were returning to headquarters with her, and she no longer had to do things she would never have done before.

She was just looking forward to Hansel’s injury healing.

……

In the shareholders’ meeting.

“Chairman Pattinson, we know that you’ve contributed a lot to the company, but times are different now. Someone must take responsibility after such a big thing happened!”

“No one said not to take responsibility!” Justin said. “But are you thinking of letting Mark bear the responsibility alone?”

“Well, he’s the president of the company. If he can’t solve it, of course, it’s up to him to take the responsibility!”

“You— Executive Emmerson, what do you mean by that?” Justin was furious.

“Mr. Chairman, I’m just saying it as it is, so don’t be angry. Ever since Mark Pattinson took charge of the company, he’s often absent, and his performance has also dropped a lot. Shouldn’t he take responsibility for this? Everyone, am I right?”

Just as his words fell, many people in the meeting followed suit and echoed.

“Yes, that’s right!”

“He’s often absent from the company! This is too ridiculous!”

Justin looked at them furiously. It had not been long since he stopped managing the company, but these people were no longer listening to him.

Just as he was about to explode, a deep and magnetic voice sounded from outside.

“So, you’re trying to kick me down from my position as president?”

Everyone was originally still talking, but they were all stunned upon hearing this voice.

The door of the conference room was pushed open, and Mark walked in followed by J.

Justin was stunned upon seeing Mark. Did that brat regain his senses?

Just as he walked in, Mark looked at them. “Why, everyone seems shocked to see me!”

“Y-you, weren’t you…”

Mark looked at him. If it were not for him, Hansel would not get hurt.

He was a very vindictive person.

His lips hooked up in a wicked smile. “Executive Emmerson!”

Executive Emmerson’s expression did not look good. “Mr. Pattinson!” He greeted awkwardly and looked away.

Mark walked over. “Now that I’m here, everyone can voice their problems in front of me!”

Since he said that, Executive Emmerson did not stand on ceremony. “Mr. Pattinson, what are you going to do about this matter?”

“It’d be fine if you didn’t mention this, Executive Emmerson, but now that you did, I’ll have to say it properly!”

Executive Emmerson was all ears.

Mark walked over. “From today onwards, get out of the company!”

Executive Emmerson frowned when he heard this. “W-What did you say?”

“I said, from today onwards, you’re no longer a member of this company!”

Executive Emmerson got angry. “Mark Pattinson, what right do you have? I’m also a part of this company. On what basis are you firing me?”

“On what basis?” Mark smiled coldly. “On this basis!” Then, he held out his hand and J immediately handed him a document. With a snap, Mark flung it in front of Executive Emmerson.

“You colluded with people from MI and orchestrated the matter on the construction site, and you also embezzled the company’s money without permission. Tell me, is this enough evidence for you to leave the company?”

Executive Emmerson was shocked and looked at him in fury. “You’re talking nonsense! This is slander!”

“You’ll know if it’s nonsense or not after reading that. Besides, I have proof of some things you’ve done to the company before as well. I used to turn a blind eye and not bicker with you about it, but now, you’ve crossed the line!” Mark said word by word.

What followed was a burst of murmurs and sighs.
