Chapter 359 Someone Was Bound To Get Hurt

Delilah looked at him with a forlorn face. Even though her heart ached, she still had no way of refusing this man’s request.

After a long time, she said, “How do you want me to help you?”

“You’re agreeing to help me?”

“Do I have any other choice?” Delilah asked. “What’s more, I’m also eager to know who that person really is!”

Mark looked at her and nodded before telling her the plan.

After hearing it, Delilah frowned. “Who exactly is the person you’re suspecting?”

Mark looked at her and stayed silent.

That was because he was not sure about the relationship between them. If Ms. Davis was really a lesbian, was Delilah in the know? After all, it was impossible for her not to know if Ms. Davis liked her.

After thinking about it, he said, “I’m not sure yet. That’s why I need your help!”

Delilah looked at him before nodding. Maybe she believed him, and maybe she did not.

“I got it. Just tell me if you have any plans. I’ll cooperate with you!” Delilah said.

“Thank you!”

“You’re welcome. If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave now.” Then, she turned to leave.

“Delilah!” Mark suddenly called.

Delilah stood where she was with her back to him. Her body trembled gently. After all, that call could give her infinite hope.

That was because she felt that it was impossible that Mark did not like her before.

However, she knew very well that there was no possibility between them anymore.

Her fists clenched. “Is there anything else?” She asked in a cold voice.

“That person has killed a lot of people, but we’re still not sure who that person is, and what they’re really like. You have to be careful!” Mark said.

Hearing this, Delilah laughed in her heart.

She turned around and looked at Mark with an extremely unfamiliar and cold expression. “If that person wanted to do something to me, they would have done so long ago and wouldn’t wait until now. On the contrary, I feel that that person cares about me more than anyone else!” Then she left a meaningful sneer and walked away.

Looking at her back, Mark frowned slightly. A trace of regret flashed in his delicate features. He was not worried that Delilah would change her mind. He was just slightly worried about her current mental state.

He did not know whether it was selfish to do this, but this was the only thing he could do. He had no other choice.

She was the only breakthrough.

Thinking this way, he put away the guilt in his heart, picked up the phone, and dialed a number. “It’s done!”

……

Delilah and Mark’s wedding was announced in a low-key manner in the circle.

However, the news still leaked out and there were many people speculating, but Mark and Delilah did not admit or deny anything.

It was impossible to keep this matter absolutely confidential. Although they were not celebrity artists, they were still public figures, so whatever they did would attract people’s attention.

However, this time, Mark did not want to cause a sensation. In his heart, there was only one person as his bride.

This matter was carried out quietly and in a low-key manner.

However, Mark believed that even if they did not wantonly publicize this matter, that person would still find out about it.

Of course, there was not much to be happy about.

At least, that was the case for Delilah.

It was just a show. What was there to be happy about?

In the office, Delilah sat there staring blankly. At that moment, Ms. Davis pushed the door and walked in, and frowned slightly when she saw Delilah.

“Ms. Collins, this document needs your signature!”

Delilah returned to her senses and looked at the document in Ms. Davis’s hand. She did not even read it and simply signed.

Ms. Davis took the document and looked at Delilah, frowning in concern. “Ms. Collins, do you really want to marry Mr. Pattinson?”

Delilah snapped back to reality and nodded at her. “Yes!”

“But why is it so low-key this time?”

Delilah was stunned, then she said, “The incident last time ended up a joke, so it’s better to keep a low-profile this time. It was my request!” She said.

Ms. Davis frowned. “But didn’t you two break up? Why are you getting married?” She asked tentatively.

“He proposed to me, and I agreed!”

“Aren’t you curious why he would propose to you without any reason?” Ms. Davis asked.

Delilah looked up at that. “Is that important?

“I like him a lot. I don’t care what the reason is as long as I can be with him!”

“But you don’t look happy at all!”

Happy...

Of course there was no way to be happy. This was just a show, a play. How could she be happy?

However, Delilah promised Mark that she would not say anything to the public. Although Ms. Davis had been with her for more than ten years, she still did not want to say anything.

Perhaps it was because of a little selfishness in her heart. She did not want people to think that she loved Mark Pattinson to such an extent that she would even agree to something like this.

It was for the trace of dignity in the bottom of her heart!

“After getting married, everything will be fine!” Delilah said despondently.

Looking at her, Ms. Davis did not say anything else. “The bridal shop called to say that everything is ready on their side. Do you want to go try it?”

Wedding dress...
