Chapter 368 I Don’t Want Him To Take Responsibility

Neil could not help but laugh.

This girl…

Nonetheless, when he thought about what happened the day before, he looked as if he was uplifted by that thought.

No matter if she’s Amanda Bowen or Chloe Williams, he was determined to get her!

After thinking about this, he sat on the bed and called Mark for help.

“Send me a set of clothes to the hotel…”

……

Lyla looked at Mark. “Where are you going so early in the morning?”

Mark was taken aback for a moment and concluded what Neil told him. “Something probably happened yesterday!”

“What happened?” Lyla asked as she immediately became wide awake.

Mark licked his lower lip. “Neil probably did something to Amanda, so he’s at the hotel now and asking me to send some clothes over to him!”

Lyla’s eyes immediately widened. “What did you say?”

“That’s all I can explain for now. I’ll only be able to know what happened after I go over there!” Mark said.

Lyla also sat up. “I’ll go with you!”

“But you must promise me that you’ll stay calm!”

“Don’t worry, I can’t do anything to Neil anyway!”

“Then let’s go!”

Thus, the two went there together.

On their trip there, Lyla called Amanda, but the call would not go through. “What should we do? The call didn’t get through. Do you think that something happened to her?”

Mark drove the car calmly as he smiled. “She’s not that weak. She won’t fall into despair or something just because she did that with a man. Besides, even if it was someone else, something like that won’t happen either!”

What Mark said seemed to be true.

“Then why isn’t she answering her phone?!”

“Maybe she’s just feeling shy and embarrassed, so she doesn’t know how to face it! After all, such a matter happened so suddenly…” Mark could not help but laugh as he said this.

Lyla furrowed her brows. “What are you laughing for?!”

“I just think that Neil is too impatient!”

“Isn’t he just taking advantage of her?!”

“Maybe it’s Amanda that took the initiative?”

“How is that possible?!”

“Why not? Based on what I know about Neil, he isn’t the kind of person that would play around!” Mark said. He could not help but laugh again.

“What are you still laughing for?!”

Mark held Lyla’s hand. “Alright, just wondering, do you think that they’ll be the same as us?!”

“What?”

“That they’ll have a baby first?”

Lyla glared at Mark. “Don’t even think about it!”

“It isn’t impossible. Neil has a naturally cold personality, so I think that it’s good that he managed to meet someone that made him loosen up!”

“But I’m the one who brought Amanda over, so I have to take responsibility for her!”

“Okay, okay, but no matter how you take responsibility, they’re already adults. So we should just observe and not get too involved, okay?” Mark stated.

Lyla looked at him and nodded. “But let me first say this, if Neil takes it too far, then I won’t let him go!”

“Mmhm, I’ll take your side!”

Lyla smiled.

If Neil heard what Mark said, he would definitely spit in Mark’s face.

Well, the wife was strict!

……

Meanwhile, at the hotel.

Mark handed the clothes to Neil. Neil then walked out once he was done changing his clothes.

“So what on Earth happened? Be honest! Otherwise, someone will be interrogating you, and I won’t be able to help you!” Mark said as he secretly pointed at Lyla.

Ever since Mark and Lyla had been together, he would use her as an excuse to betray his friends. Nonetheless, Neil had gotten used to this.

After taking a glance at Lyla, Neil said, “How can you treat your bro like this?!”

“I don’t have a choice, I value love over friendship!”

“I can see that!”

The two of them were still teasing each other, while Lyla was getting impatient. “Okay, stop fooling around! What happened?”

“Lyla… This is a matter between a man and a woman, so what else can it be?” Neil asked.

“So, you mean that you and Amanda really…?” Lyla looked at him and asked.

Neil did not say anything.

“Neil, how could you do that? I even left Amanda to you!”

“Well, I didn’t want to either, but I’ve fallen too deeply into love, so there’s that!” Neil said.

Fallen too deeply into love…

Lyla was speechless upon hearing his words.

“But Amanda…”

“Don’t worry, I’ll take responsibility for her!”

Lyla looked at him and sighed. It already happened, so there was nothing they could do. Besides, Mark said that they were fated lovers, so maybe that was how it should be.

“Alright, you don’t have to worry too much. Don’t you know the kind of person Neil is? If he dares to abandon her after doing it, then even I won’t let him go!” Mark comforted Lyla at the side.

After thinking about it, Lyla could only let this go.

Neil smiled, still looking as if he was reminiscing about what happened yesterday.

Mark looked at him. “Okay, you can stay here and continue reminiscing! However, you should know that you’ll be in a worse situation than before in the days ahead! Don’t say that I didn’t warn you. I’m talking based on my experience, so good luck!”

When Mark mentioned this, Lyla looked at Mark. “What did you say?”

“Huh? Did I say anything?”

“Based on your experience? Hahaha…” Lyla smiled at him. “Looks like you got some explaining to do!”

Upon hearing this, Mark knew that something was off. “Wifey, wasn’t I just talking about what happened between us?”

“Really? Did something like that happen between us?”

“Of course!”

“So, you mean that I didn’t treat you well?”

“... How is that possible?”

“That’s what you meant!”

Mark, “...”

Seeing Mark’s reaction, Neil felt sorry for him.

However, once Neil thought that his future might be similar…

Nonetheless, Neil would still be willing to go through it even if it was something like that!

……

Amanda was looking at her phone, but she did not dare to answer it.
