Chapter 369 Live Properly

“It’s fine if they get together! I won’t mind it. I don’t like Neil anyway!” Amanda said.

Did Amanda really not like Neil?

That did not seem to be the case to Lyla.

Nonetheless, Lyla would not force Amanda. In any case, everyone had their own story, so there must be a reason why Amanda was not willing to accept him. Lyla could help them a little, but she should not interfere too much, so she could only let them progress at their own pace.

“Okay, okay, okay!” Lyla nodded. She was not going to continue trying to persuade Amanda.

At this moment, the doorbell rang.

Amanda looked at Lyla as if she was suddenly filled with energy. “Don’t open the door!”

“Why?”

“There’s no reason. I just don’t want to see him, so you can’t open the door!”

Lyla shook her head helplessly.

Then, Lyla’s phone rang. Seeing that it was Mark, she answered it. “Hello…”

“It’s the food delivery, so open the door!”

Lyla smiled, hung up the phone, and went to open the door.

“Hey, hey, hey, Lyla…” Amanda could not stop her. Seeing that the door was opening, Amanda got up and went into her room.

“Thanks!” Lyla opened the door, took the food, and closed the door.

In her room, Amanda noticed the noises outside and thought that something was off.

“Come out, aren’t you hungry?” Lyla asked outside.

Only then did Amanda slowly open the door and reveal her head. After making sure that Neil was not there, she opened the door.

“So it was the food delivery!”

Lyla smiled. “What else? Who did you think it was?!”

Amanda felt a little awkward. She then walked out slowly.

After arranging the food, Lyla looked at Amanda. “Eat some!”

Amanda was indeed a little hungry. She had drunk too much yesterday and did not really eat much. Therefore, her tummy had been rumbling since long ago. Seeing the food, she sat down and started eating.

Upon seeing Amanda’s look, Lyla smiled helplessly.

Lya then sat opposite of her.

“You’re not eating?” Amanda asked.

Lyla shook her head. “I’m not hungry!”

Amanda continued to eat and did not say anything.

Lyla looked at her, thought for a moment, and said, “Amanda, about this… I feel a little guilty!”

Upon hearing this, Amanda looked up at her. “Why do you say so?”

“I never knew that such a thing would happen. Although I know that Neil is a decent person, I still shouldn’t have just let you leave with him…”

Amanda thought for a moment. “Wasn’t it me who wanted to leave with him?”

“Huh, you still remember it?”

Amanda immediately blushed. Of course, she could not remember it. It was what Neil told her, but she was embarrassed to tell Lyla.

“This matter is my own issue, so you don’t have to feel guilty, Lyla. I’m already an adult and not a child. I should be responsible for my own life, so this matter doesn’t have anything to do with you!”

Lyla looked at Amanda. She still had a hard time letting go of that guilty feeling in her heart. Lyla then pressed her lips together, sighed, and did not say anything else.

At this moment, Lyla’s phone rang. Seeing that it was from Mark, she answered it.

“What’s the matter?”

After hearing what he said, she was surprised. “Really?”

“Alright, I understand!”

After Lyla hung up the phone, Amanda looked at her. “What’s the matter? Did something happen?”

“Ms. Davis has surrendered herself, so Delilah has been released. I’ll need to go over to check it out!”

“Really?” Amanda was also surprised.

Lyla nodded. “You should stay at home and rest. I’ll be leaving for now!”

“Uhh!” Lyla thought for a moment. “Neil might be there too, so do you want to go?”

“Oh, I’m a little tired, so I’ll rest at home!”

Lyla could not help but laugh at Amanda for changing her mind so quickly. “Okay, take care! I’ll be leaving!”

Amanda nodded. Only then did Lyla leave.

……

Delilah had indeed been released.

When she walked out, Mark and Lyla were outside waiting for her.

She did not seem to change much after these few days. However, she had gotten a little thinner.

Upon seeing her, Lyla walked over.

“Ms. Collins…”

Delilah looked at them and sneered. “I never thought that the first people I’d meet would be the two of you!”

Lyla did not know how to express her current emotions. She just looked at Delilah, thought for a moment, and said, “We’re here to send you home!”

“There’s no need. I want to walk back by myself!” Delilah said indifferently.

“But…”
