Chapter 384 Grand Finale

Tim found Mark.

“If my guess is right, Caty Davis has already approached Delilah Collins!” Tim said.

Mark’s expression sank. “What do you think?”

“I think she’s not just trying to escape. She must want to do something!”

Mark nodded in agreement. “If I’m right, her target should be us!”

Tim thought about it and said, “I came looking for you because I have an idea!”

“Do tell!”

“Isn’t your wedding coming up? I think that she’ll definitely appear on that day…” He approached Mark and whispered something in his ear. “What do you think, Mr. Pattison?”

Mark looked at him and smiled. “Officer Burr and my ideas coincide!”

“In other words, you’re agreeing!”

“Of course!”

“Good. In that case, I’ll go ahead and set up, but I hope to receive the invitation list for the wedding day!”

“There’s no problem getting you the invitation list, but I’ll have to trouble you to work hard, officer!”

Tim frowned. He did not understand what Mark said until he got the list.

There were nearly a thousand people on the list. The corner of Tim’s mouth twitched when he received it. It seemed like he had to apply for backup.

Otherwise, there would not be enough manpower!

……

Soon, it was the day of the wedding.

Mark used his own hotel to host the wedding. It was a European-style hotel with a large garden at the back. Many people wanted to host their weddings here before, but he never agreed.

His wedding would be the first.

When the wedding started, many people were busy.

Lyla woke up early in the morning to get her makeup done and change clothes. It was as if she was a celebrity.

As a bridesmaid, Emmy looked from the side. “As expected, Mr. Pattinson is quite attentive. Otherwise, you definitely won’t be able to wear it with the rate your belly is growing!”

“Why, does it make me look fat?” Lyla asked worriedly.

“No, no, the bridal dress is custom-made. A little error may lead to a large discrepancy, but your little waist still looks very thin!”

Lyla was relieved. “That’s good!”

Emmy looked at her and could not help but sigh. “Lyla, you’re finally getting married!”

Lyla smiled. “What? Is that such a hard thing for me?”

“No, you finally found the person you love. I’m really happy for you!” Emmy walked over and hugged Lyla.

Lyla was not used to Emmy stirring up emotions like that. “Don’t be sentimental now. If I cry and ruin my makeup, I won’t spare you!”

Emmy hugged her and laughed.

“But why are there so many security guards at the wedding?”

“Security guards?”

“Yeah, I saw many of them. They all looked really serious!” Emmy said.

Lyla paused and remembered what Mark said. Caty escaped, so could this be arranged by Mark? Was he worried that Caty would do something?

However, Emmy did not know about this, so Lyla did not say anything much and simply said, “There are many people, so they’re probably just worried that things will get rowdy!”

“Oh, it’s always rowdy when you rich folk get married!”

Lyla looked at her. “Who are you calling rich folk? I’m poor. I’m an innocent poor woman!”

“Yes, yes, yes, you’re poor. I wonder who Mr. Pattinson passed his entire fortune to!” Emmy said with contempt.

Lyla was quite happy about that topic. A few days ago, Mark had put all his property under her name, saying that it was to show his loyalty.

She could not take his money, but of course, she would accept his loyalty.

Thus, she took it.

“That’s someone else’s, not mine!” Lyla was still stubborn, refusing to admit the fact that she had become a rich woman without doing anything.

Emmy did not want to argue with her and simply gave her a look of disdain.

When the wedding was about to start, someone came in to inform them.

Emmy and Lyla got ready.

“By the way, didn’t those two sweethearts come back?” Emmy asked.

Lyla sighed at the mention. “They said they’ll only arrive at night!”

“At night? Wouldn’t the wedding be over by then?!”

“There’s nothing we can do about that!”

“Okay, okay, it’s fine. We can always just hold a second wedding, then let the two sweethearts participate!”

Lyla rolled her eyes. “Watch your words!”

Emmy chuckled. “I meant, get Mr. Pattinson to marry you a second time!”

……

At that moment, the door was suddenly pushed open and someone walked in.

Emmy frowned when she saw the person. “Hey, who are you? Don’t you know how to knock?”

However, the person turned around and glared fiercely at them.

Emmy was frightened.

“Y-You…”

Lyla seemed to be much calmer. “Caty Davis.”

“You don’t seem surprised to see me!” Caty said word by word.

“You’d have come sooner or later. What’s there to be surprised about?”

Caty walked toward her step by step. “You’re right, what should come will definitely come, and what should die will definitely die!”

Emmy sensed something wrong and was just about to shout when Caty shot her hand and knocked Emmy unconscious.

“You…”

A dagger appeared at her waist. “If you don’t want anything to happen to you or your baby, you better shut up!”

Sure enough, Lyla did not say anything and just looked straight at her.

“Today, I’ll let Mark Pattinson watch as you slowly fade away!” A demonic and ruthless smile hooked on Caty’s mouth.

……

Mark picked up his phone, and his brows knitted when he saw the text message on it.

Without saying anything, he walked toward the outside where Tim was waiting along with a row of guards.

Mark walked over and murmured in his ear. “She already got in. How did you guys conduct your inspections?”

Tim frowned. “What do you mean?”

Mark took out his phone and showed the message to Tim, who frowned.

At that moment, Tim looked at the people beside him. “You guys stand guard here. The rest will follow me!”

Then, they went together.

At the rooftop.

The hotel rooftop.
