Chapter 80 We Are Not Suitable

Mark Pattinson frowned and looked at her with a displeased demeanour.

‘Congratulations?

‘She is saying congratulations!?’

Mark Pattinson's face was turning pale. He had never expected such a response after waiting for so long!

He smiled sarcastically.

Mark Pattinson, what were you expecting!

Are you expecting this woman to give you some reciprocation?

At this moment, he smirked with sarcasm and said, “Thank you!”

Lyla sensed his gritty look, but she chose to ignore it automatically. She smiled, “You’re welcome...”

Before she finished speaking, she was pulled into a hard embrace. She was caught off-guard and he repeatedly kissed her lips mercilessly, as if he was pouring out all his suppressed anger. It was unhinged and scary...

Lyla was stunned and wanted to push him away, but he hugged her tighter and kissed her even more erratically. In the end, Lyla stopped struggling and just gave in.

‘He could not be having sex with her on the street.’

But her tepid response angered Mark Pattinson even more. He bit her lip abruptly and furiously as a form of punishment.

“Ouch!” Lyla took a step back painfully. She frowned and stared at Mark Pattinson with displeasure.

He was still staring at her with rage, “Lyla, this is your punishment!”

Lyla frowned and noticed the burning fury in his eyes. As an adult woman, she still understood the hint given to her by Mark Pattinson.

'Anyhow, she was not sure what kind of person Mark Pattinson was. She did not dare to try understanding him because she did not think she could handle someone like him. Since this is not the only relationship she could have, she refused to give them a chance.

She just wanted a plain life although she had not made up her mind to remain unmarried all her life. However, she never expected to meet someone like Mark Pattinson in her lifetime...

"Mr. Pattinson, I..." Lyla looked at him and tried to say something, but she ended up saying nothing at all. Perhaps she felt guilty for him on behalf of Hansel and Gretel.

Mark Pattinson could not help himself from gazing profoundly at her.

Now he was not even sure what he wanted.

Even though he knew she had kids now, he still could not forget her.

She was like a drug. Though he wished to quit it, he could not give it up as the withdrawal was painful...

He stepped forward and held her in his arms. His breathing was a bit heavy, but his expression looked even more painful, “Lyla, what should I do with you?”

Lyla felt uncomfortable when she saw him behaving like that, but she remained silent and did not speak.

“What if you become my woman? I could act as if nothing had ever happened. Nothing ever happened, and I could give you what you want!” Mark Pattinson uttered. God only knew how much courage he took to say these words.

Lyla misunderstood his last sentence.

Her brows furrowed together, and she raised her eyes to look at him, “What do you mean?”

Mark Pattinson did not answer but buried his head in her neck.

“Give me some time, I will soon be able to accept it!” he said.

That sentence struck Lyla’s heart inexplicably.

'Mark Pattinson was a proud man. Although Lyla did not know much about him, how would he accept a woman with kids?

‘Although the kids were his, he does not know now...’

As she thought about that, Lyla’s heart became heavy and she did not know what to say.

Mark Pattinson was a scary man.

‘You do not know what he is thinking in his mind.’

‘Moreover, you do not know what kind of things he will do.’

The situation was getting increasingly out of hand for Lyla. She lowered her gaze and covered her slender eyelashes. She said faintly, “I’m sorry...”

Sorry?

Mark Pattinson looked at her with his deep gaze, “What do you mean?”

Lyla did not know what to say, “Mr. Pattinson, we are not compatible...”

Mark Pattinson's brow furrowed deeper. 'What else could she be thinking when he did not mind her past.'

“I... I already have someone in my heart, sorry!” she said.

At that moment, Mark Pattinson almost went crazy.

Of course, ‘the someone in my heart’ was completely made up by Lyla. The ‘someone’ did not exist, and it was used as a means to refuse Mark Pattinson.

But Mark Pattinson took it seriously.

He gazed at her with so much fury. Only God knew how much courage he needed not to strangle her. With his clenched fists, his blue veins were visible, “Go...” he said.

Lyla raised her eyes and glanced at him. Both of his eyes were scarlet red, and she could see that he was trying his best to endure something. She left without saying anything.

As he looked at her back, Mark Pattinson's face turned indescribably angry. In the next second, he slammed a fist against a wall...

This move of him attracted a lot of attention, but Mark Pattinson stood there with a gloomy expression on his face.

At that moment, his cell phone rang.

After it rang for a long time, he picked it up and answered, “Hey...” his voice sounded extremely unpleasant.

“Is this Mark Pattinson?”

"You are?" He asked curiously because the voice on the other side of the phone came from a kid.

"Is my mom with you?" Hansel asked.

Mark Pattinson frowned. All he could think of was Lyla, but he still asked, “Who are you anyway?”

“Lyla is my mom. Tell me that she is with you now. She is in a very dangerous situation now!” Hansel said nervously.

Mark Pattinson frowned. He had not expected Lyla's kid to call him.

“What kind of danger? She has left!”

‘Has left?’
