Chapter 90 Sleep Together with Me

"My mummy is very busy and needs to make money to support my sister and me. Moreover, she was pregnant before marriage and is looked down upon everywhere she goes, so she has to work harder than others!" Hansel said without turning his head back.

Upon hearing this, Mark Pattinson went silent.

His pair of profound eyes made it hard for people to know what he was thinking.

Hansel was right. It was not a glorious thing to get pregnant before marriage and she even had two children. It was obvious that Lyla was a very independent woman. He kept thinking about how she had lived through this for so many years.

She had to take care of two children alone and even survive abroad...

Inexplicably, Mark Pattinson’s heart ached for Lyla a while. Those questions in his mind before instantly felt unimportant.

He was instead grateful to Lyla, thankful that she persisted and gave birth to Hansel and Gretel.

However, Hansel automatically left out Felix Smith.

In fact, Felix Smith helped them a lot, but Hansel did not mention him. His goal was to make Mark Pattinson’s heart ache for Lyla.

Sure enough, he went silent.

And he achieved his goal!

Although Lyla really worked hard at the beginning, it was all in the past, because things will only get better and better in the future!

Looking at Hansel's back, Mark Pattinson walked over. "When you were a kid, did anyone bully you?" he asked.

When he brought this up, Hansel thought about it seriously and nodded. "Yes, the children abroad really did not like me and my sister often ridiculed us and scolded us in English!"

Upon hearing this, Mark Pattinson immediately frowned. "And then?"

"Then I made up a song with my sister in English. The lyrics were all to scold them!"

Mark Pattinson was speechless.

"Later, they never looked down on us again!"

Hearing this, Mark Pattinson was relieved, otherwise Mark Pattinson would definitely fly to the United States. Even if they were children, he would still take revenge on them!

In this respect, Hansel and Mark Pattinson were still pretty similar.

He was fiercely protective of his own people.

In fact, he was incredibly partial. No matter what happened to others, he would be okay as long as his own people were okay and not wronged.

But when he looked at Hansel, he was indeed his son.

He was so clever and so alike with himself!

After conversing a few sentences, as Hansel was cooking, Mark Pattinson took the opportunity to look around.

The space of the living room was designed with a combination of modern and British designs. Looking at that sofa, Mark Pattinson wondered if they often frolic on this sofa.

Thinking of Hansel, Gretel, and Lyla, the guilt in his heart had lessened a lot.

The thing he did not want to see the most was Hansel and Gretel walking down the same path of his childhood.

And Lyla's room was warm, simple, and open, just like her temperament.

Hansel's room had some models, a computer, and a study desk, which was very similar to his study room.

As for Gretel's room, it was similar to a princess's room. Mark Pattinson could not help but laugh when thinking of Gretel's normal princess-like appearance.

He felt the place was very warm and cozy.

Everything was so real, yet he felt like he was dreaming.

After taking a tour around, Mark Pattinson finally sat on the sofa and glanced at Hansel in the kitchen. In fact, he had a lot of things to ask, but he did not know where to start.

So he might as well not say anything. He wanted to spend his time slowly understanding and appreciating their existence.

At this time, he looked away but saw a photo on the table.

It was a group photo of them. It should have been taken when they were abroad. The three people were on the meadow. Hansel and Gretel were at Lyla’s left and right. Lyla hugged them and was smiling brightly as if they were the most precious things in the world.

In the photo, they did not look like mother and children, but rather like siblings.

They seemed to share a good relationship.

Mark Pattinson looked at the photo and slowly picked it up. His gaze was soft and his heart felt warm and fuzzy.

He was envious, envious of their relationship, envious of the past few years that they could be together all the time, whether it was sweet or bitter, they were all in it together.

Mark Pattinson longed for family affection. He longed for Justin Pattinson to give him that, but Justin instead gave him a gloomy childhood, while Eileen Dawson gave him a dark childhood.

After those things had happened, Justin Pattinson was classified by him as the same kind of person as Eileen Dawson.

From then on, he did not know what family affection was.

Now looking at their photos, he could not help but start being overwhelmed with emotions again.

He suddenly wanted to blend in between them, so very much.

Suddenly, he felt extremely lucky.

As if all the misfortunes had ended from now onwards. To have them was the one thing Mark Pattinson thought was the luckiest thing in this life.

Just as he was staring at the photo in a daze, Hansel walked out carrying some dishes.

As he placed the dishes in front of him, he then went back to carry more dishes.

As Mark Pattinson put the photo back in place, he looked at Hansel’s back. He suddenly felt that having such a capable son seemed to be very nice, and his behavior seemed to slowly follow somewhat like Lyla...

I guess this was what they meant by ‘birds of a feather flock together’.

If it were to be other family’s children, they would be spoiled. But unfortunately, it was not like that in their family.

His son was cooking, doing the laundry, and mopping the floor as if it was very normal...

When Hansel came back again, he placed everything down. "Alright, we can eat now!"

"It’s late at night, I'm a little tired, so I just made something simple to eat!" Hansel said.
