He said, “I think I’ll pass. We all know how capable you are, Ms. Jackson. Anyway, I still have some work to do, so please have a seat.”

Kim was slightly disappointed, but she maintained her smile. “Okay, sorry for bothering you.”

Joe turned around and subtly grinned.

‘Hmph, Kim Jackson, your impatience makes you really ugly. Do you know that? Don’t blame me for not reminding you. If Mr. Ferguson knows how free you are, I wonder if he’ll still be this patient with you.’

After he left, Kim’s smile faded. She was a smart person, so of course, she understood Joe’s hint for her to leave.

Joe might have been Blake’s assistant in name, but he was more than just a right-hand man. He was someone with weight within the company, no one dared to look down on him.

He knew he was Blake’s right-hand man and he might be polite and kind on the outside but he barely took anyone seriously, including Kim.

For several times now, she had tried to win his favor so that he would say something nice about her in front of Blake. However, she had not been successful. Although she wanted him to bring her to Blake, it seemed to be a little too difficult.

However, Kim did not mind because no matter how arrogant Joe was, he was just an assistant. Once she became Mrs. Ferguson, he would be the one trying to win her favor.

Kim peered out of the glass window of the lounge and watched everyone work. Everyone was busy, but whenever one of them noticed her gaze, he or she would smile and nod at her.

As Kim maintained her elegant smile and greeted them back, her eyes were even gleaming. She waited for another half an hour before Joe came back to notify her.

As a matter of fact, Blake’s meeting had been over for quite some time, and he was just doing some work in his office.

Blake never liked being disturbed while doing work, hence Joe had used the meeting as an excuse to send Kim off. Otherwise, he would be the one who would suffer Blake’s wrath.
