Chapter 106 Eight Years Of Wait Wasted

“No, she’s my biological child.” Lyla smiled faintly.

Arden was completely startled. “You, you’re already married?”

He had never heard that she was married. All these years, she was always alone, so he waited unhurriedly. Unexpectedly, she already had such a grown-up child!

Whose child was it?

His chest felt uncomfortable and his heart was filled with jealousy.

“No, I'm not married!”

“That kid...”

Lyla smiled. “Senior, have some coffee!”

Regarding Hansel and Gretel, although they were an accident, they were also Lyla’s most beautiful accident. She did not want to deny them, so she decided not to tell Arden about them.

However, how could Arden not read between the lines? He did not continue to ask anymore. He just sat there as if he was sitting on pins and needles, his heart filled with dissatisfaction.

He had always been confident and looked forward to this love. However, at that moment, he suddenly discovered that she had been together with someone else before and that feeling was beyond words.

After eight years of waiting, it felt like everything had gone to waste in an instant. Arden had an unspeakable discomfort in his heart.

“Uncle, what's wrong?” Gretel asked as she looked at him with a completely innocent face.

Arden came back to his senses, it was difficult to keep smiling at Lyla's child. “I’m okay, I suddenly remembered that I have something else to do. Lyla, I’ll take my leave!” After speaking, he got up and left.

Lyla also got up to see him off. “Senior, thank you for visiting me, be careful on your way!”

“Yeah!” Arden nodded and left hurriedly.

The moment the door closed, Gretel’s innocence faded completely. “Mommy, that uncle seems to like you very much too, but he looked hurt when he saw that you already have me!”

“Little kid, what do you know?”

“Isn’t it obvious?!”

“Don't talk nonsense!”

“I’m not! Daddy's love rival appeared, so I have to go tell daddy…” After speaking, Gretel skipped to the side.

Lyla, “...”

She thought Gretel did not mean it, so she did not expect that Gretel actually did it.

After Arden went out, he stood downstairs, and still could not get his mind off from what happened just now. He could not believe that Lyla, whom he had always thought was very beautiful, was already the child's mother.

‘Who’s that man?’

He started to overthink, his heart filled with jealousy and hatred.

‘Why, why’s this happening?!’

Just as he was thinking about it, a car stopped in front of him.

Mark and Hansel pushed open the car’s door and got down. The two of them were holding something in their hands.

“These things are enough!”

“Let’s go!”

Mark met Arden's eyes as soon as he reached the stairs.

The moment their eyes met, it seemed that a lot of messages were being exchanged between them.

Arden's gaze shifted between Mark and Hansel.

If surprise was what he was going through earlier, ‘shock’ would be the word to describe his feelings at this moment.

This was because the child beside Mark looked exactly like him, just like how Gretel and Lyla looked alike.

“Arden? Why are you here?” Mark looked at him and asked, then he frowned. Could it be that he came to visit Lyla?

“You can be here, so why can't I be here too?” Arden retorted.

After all, there was still some form of relationship between them. They had the same last name, Pattinson, so they had the same ancestors. However, later on, their relationship was not as good.

More importantly, between both of them, no one was willing to give in to the other.

Instead of getting angry, Mark laughed. Maybe he misunderstood Lyla and Arden earlier, but now he only had a sense of superiority.

It was because of the existence of Hansel and Gretel.

Besides that, based on his understanding of Lyla, she would never give Arden a thought.

“What? How about we go up for some tea?” Mark smiled gracefully, but there was some malicious intent in his expression, which made it hard for people to know what he was thinking.

“There’s no need!” Arden declined. What he was most worried about now is whether there was any relationship between Lyla and Mark. It was because of this thought that he dared not verify their relationship.

“Ok, if that's the case, then let’s not force it!” Mark said, then looked at Hansel behind him. “Let's go dear!”

Hansel nodded and left.

“Wait a minute…” At this moment, Arden spoke with his back facing them, his tall figure trembling a little.

“Is there anything else?” Mark raised his eyebrows and looked at him.

Arden turned his head and looked at them, his eyes fixed on Hansel. “Who is he?”

Mark smiled. “What do you think?”

Arden had a bitter expression, Mark could tell that he must have seen Lyla and Gretel.

“Well, daddy, let's go upstairs!” said Hansel.

Daddy?

Although they knew each other, Gretel had already called him ‘daddy’ countless times, but Hansel had not changed the way he called Mark even after a long time and kept calling him Mr. Pattinson.

Mark did not force it, because there was always a process. Now that he heard Hansel call him that, Mark suddenly felt his heart lightened.

“Let’s go!” Ignoring Arden, he went upstairs directly with Hansel.

Arden stood there, looking at their backs, frowning...

On the other hand, Mark and Hansel, who were going upstairs. “What did you call me just now?”

“What?” Hansel pretended to be dumb.

“What did you call me just now?” Mark asked, wanting to hear Hansel call him daddy again.

“I forgot…”
