Chapter 136 Get Her Out Of The Company

Mark listened to J and ate leisurely. “What is it?”

“Mr. Pattinson and the Madam probably found out about the existence of Young Master Hansel and Miss Gretel, but they couldn’t find you. They now have people waiting for you at the company, saying that if you don’t come back, they will…”

Mark’s exquisite and handsome facial features instantly tightened. His eyebrows furrowed and his face was indescribably gloomy.

He did not expect them to find out so quickly.

No wonder he was called so many times yesterday.

“They will what?” Mark asked calmly.

“They will strip you from your position as president!” J replied. His voice grew softer, afraid that he would anger Mark.

Hehe...

Mark started laughing. His voice was low and magnetic but became increasingly enchanting. Now that they wanted to get rid of him, they turned their backs on him so quickly. However, it would not be that simple.

“I understand. I’ll head back immediately!” After saying that, Mark directly hung up.

His displeasure was felt by his surroundings, and Hansel looked at him while eating. “Daddy, what is it? Did something happen?”

Mark pondered and opened his mouth. “I think that you two can finally reveal yourselves soon!”

Hearing this, Lyla raised her brows. “What do you mean? Does the Pattinson family know about them already?

Mark raised his eyebrows lazily but did not deny it.

Lyla’s complexion changed immediately. She did not expect them to find out so quickly.

Thinking of something, she quickly looked at Mark and said, “Mark, I approve of you acknowledging Hansel and Gretel, but I won’t approve of them going back to the Pattinson family with you. They belong to me. I will never agree to that!” Lyla said.

She understood the power and influence of the Pattinson family. If they were to resort to force, Lyla would absolutely be unable to fight against them, so she could only rely on Mark to fight back.

Seeing that Lyla was so nervous, Mark smiled and gazed at her. “Not to mention you, even I wouldn’t agree to them going back to the Pattinson family!”

Forget about recognizing his ancestry. To hell with all of that.

He did not care about it. Not at all.

Even if he changed his surname, he would not think much of it. To him, the Pattinson family was a nightmare. There was nothing worth staying and looking back on.

However, Mark’s words made Lyla startled.

It seemed that there was no way to resolve the ‘hatred’ between Mark and the Pattinson family.

This was a good thing for her because Hansel and Gretel would not have to go, but for some reason, subconsciously and deep down, she actually had a trace of discomfort which came from Mark’s tone...

She felt a slight heartache.

Mark was not a man without a conscience. On the contrary, he could see things more thoroughly, but for him to hate the Pattinson family this much, there was definitely more to it.

However, Lyla did not know what to say and only nodded her head.

Mark did not think much of it and looked at Hansel and Gretel. “For these two days, pay attention when leaving school. I will specially send a driver to pick you up. Remember, do not go with people that you do not know, no matter what they say!” Mark looked serious as if it were a grave situation.

Hansel wanted to ask something, but looking at Mark’s expression, all his words were stuck in his throat. In the end, he nodded his head. “Daddy, I got it!”

“Is it that serious?” Lyla looked at him and asked.

Mark did not want to scare them, nor did he want them to worry. “I just want to prepare just in case!”

That was what he said, but Lyla still somewhat understood Mark. If there was no basis, he definitely would not say such a thing.

Now...

Although she could not imagine how serious things were, she still knew that the problem she had been worried about had finally arrived.

“If they know of Hansel and Gretel’s existence, they will also know of you. You should also be careful these few days!” Mark looked at Lyla and advised her.

Lyla looked solemn and finally nodded. “I know. I’ll be careful!”

Mark lost his appetite and looked at them. “If possible, you should all stay at home. Don't go to the company or school. This is the safest place!”

“Your father probably won’t kidnap us, right?” Lyla asked.

Mark laughed at that. Mark really did not know whether or not he would, but as for Eileen...

Thinking back on what she did, Mark would definitely not doubt this.

“What if he would?” Mark asked rhetorically.

Lyla was stunned. What was she supposed to say? If he really would, then… What kind of environment was Mark raised in?

“In short, just do as I say!” Mark said.

They nodded in unison.

Mark stood up. “I’ll return to the company now. If they can’t find me, who knows what they’ll do!”

Lyla nodded, and Mark started heading out.

When Mark was almost at the door, Lyla suddenly stood up. “Mark…”

Lyla rarely called Mark’s name directly like this. From this call, her voice was a little nervous and had an indescribable tension.

Mark looked back at her, his deep gaze filled with doubts.

“Let’s talk when you’re free!” Lyla said.

The corners of Mark's mouth hooked a smile. Without saying anything, he left a dashing silhouette and walked away.
