Chapter 140 Almost Exposing His Identity

“Boss I have an idea!” Piers was smiling very sinisterly on the other side of the phone.

“What?”

“I can kidnap you and make your dad agree. This is a great idea, and we can also verify how much you weigh in your dad’s heart. If he doesn’t care about you, then you won’t have to consider his feelings anymore. Isn’t that killing two birds with one stone?” Piers was secretly happy at his plot. He was such a smart person.

Hansel. “...” If Piers was in front of him right now, he would feel Hansel’s deep contempt.

“I think so too. Then, my Daddy will eradicate every last person in Hell’s Angels alliance!” Hansel followed up with this comment.

Piers. “...”

This time, it was his turn to be speechless. “Pretend I never said anything!”

Hansel could not be bothered to joke with him. “I have an idea!”

“What is it?”

“My Daddy must be determined to win this time. Why don’t we just give him some benefits?”

“A fifth of the goods?”

“How can that be?”

“Then, what do you mean?”

“Force my Daddy to come out and talk to him directly. He knows you and you know me, so it’ll naturally be easy to converse. Tell him that if he wants, I can let him be the agent of Alpine City in the future!”

Piers’s mouth fell open. “Boss, you’re going that far?”

“This is the best way now. One, we want to transit from here for a long time in the future and have to rely on the forces here. Two, we can’t lose any of this batch’s goods. Three, we can also ally with Ghost Gate. Why not kill three birds with one stone?”

But…” Piers could not tell which part he felt was strange. “Are you sure he’ll agree?”

“My Daddy is a business elite. He won’t turn down offers that are sent to his doorstep!” Hansel asserted.

Piers nodded. He agreed on that point. “Then, do you want to discuss it with the other bosses?”

“You just do it. I’ll talk to Orpheus and the others!” Hansel said.

“Okay, got it!”

“Remember, no matter what method you use, you have to force my Daddy to come out and talk to you.

“Right!”

After hanging up, Hansel sat on the bed. He was just gambling. He did not know if Mark would agree, but at least, it was worth a shot.

If it succeeded, Daddy would become their ally. At the very least, he would not go too crazy after finding out Hansel’s identity.

Otherwise… He could hardly imagine the consequences.

Now, all he could do was wait for the news.

……

When Hansel slept, he generally liked to mute his phone.

That was because if something major happened, the alarm would go off. If there was nothing important, he would not disturb his sleep, so he did not even notice his phone lighting up again and again, and the missed calls piling up one after another...

The next day.

Hansel was woken up by the sound of someone banging on his door.

Seeing Mark at his door with a tense look, Hansel blinked his hazy eyes. “Daddy, what’s wrong?”

Mark thoroughly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Hansel was sleeping. He walked over. “Why didn’t you answer the phone?”

“I was sleeping!” Hansel said naturally.

Then, he pulled out his phone and took a look, and instantly woke up at the thirty missed calls. “Daddy, did something happen? Why did you call me so many times?”

Mark thought for a moment before opening his mouth. “Guess who I saw today?”

“Who?”

“Your friend, Piers Brion!”

Hansel’s heart trembled but he pretended not to understand. “And?”

“I told you he’s not a simple person!”

“Then?”

“To force me to meet him, he told me he kidnapped you…”

Hansel could not help the corners of his mouth twitching. That damn Piers Brion. He really stopped at nothing.

“How could that be? How could he have kidnapped me?” Hansel said with an embarrassed smile.

Mark sighed in relief. His cold face became even more chilly. “He caught my weakness!”

At first, he had been extremely worried, but now, it was clear that he was deceived.

“Daddy, don’t worry, he was just saying that to mess with you. He would never do such a thing to me!” Hansel said.

If Piers messed with him like that again, Mark might really limit Hansel from associating with him.

The corners of Mark’s mouth lifted in a cold smile. His innate noble aura had less of its usual elegance. His cold appearance emitted a deadly danger, and his deep eyes were honed and sharp, like a whirlpool at the bottom of a lake.

Hansel felt a little bad seeing him like this. He wanted to tell Mark the truth a few times but was afraid that their talks would crumble. If that happened, he would have condemned himself with his own words.

He might as well endure it for now.

Just as Hansel was thinking, his phone lit up again. Although it was on silent, Mark and Hansel both saw the words on the screen. Piers Brion.

Hansel’s heart thumped.

Mark looked at him and then at his phone, and motioned to pick it up. “Answer it!”

Hansel then guiltily picked up the phone and prepared to answer it.

“Why, is there something I can’t hear?” Mark asked.

Hansel’s feet paused, thinking in his heart, ‘Piers’s, please make sure your big mouth doesn’t spill everything at once.’

Mark looked at him and finally said meaningfully, “It’s fine as long as you’re okay!”

Oh no.

With an apprehensive heart, Hansel sat where he was and pressed the answer button.

“Hello…”
