Chapter 142 The Dragon And Phoenix Fights

Lyla glared at him angrily.

Mark spoke in her ear, “That’s not even a thousandth of the pain I felt!” Then, he leaned over and kissed her, before finally releasing her.

Ahhhhhhh!

Lyla wanted to kill this b*stard!!!

Lyla watched him leisurely walk out yet was unable to do anything. If looks could kill, she would have killed him in seconds.

…

When she went downstairs, Mark was waiting for her. A wicked smile hooked up the corners of his lips.

“Ms. Lowe, you came down?”

Lyla rolled her eyes at him, ignoring him.

“Let’s send the kids to school first before going to the company!” Mark said.

“No need. You send them to school. I’ll take a taxi to the company myself!” Lyla was filled with anger yet was unable to vent it. If she were to face Mark again, it would definitely add fuel to the fire.

At that moment, Mark suddenly walked up to her. “Together!”

“No!”

Mark frowned. “The kids didn’t have a dad to take care of them for all these years and longed for the joy of family life. We can bring them to school together. Are you going to deprive them of this wish?”

At that, Lyla could not help but be moved, and looked at Hansel and Gretel. The two children were carrying their bags, looking at them with eager eyes.

It would be a shame if these two children did not go into acting. Even though she suspected that they were in cahoots with Mark, she still believed that deep inside, they must be thinking the same way.

In the end, Lyla compromised.

They went out together.

In the car, Lyla instructed Hansel and Gretel to study well at school and not to cause trouble. She completely ignored Mark.

At the school gate, they got out of the car and Lyla gave a few more instructions. The two nodded in unison. “We know, Mumy. We’ll study well. Don’t worry!”

Seeing their impatient look, Lyla shook her head helplessly and watched them walk into school. Then, she got back into the car and went to the company with Mark.

In the car, Lyla continued to ignore Mark. She did not even spare him a glance.

Mark gave her a sideways glance. “What, are you still angry?”

Lyla looked out the window, pretending not to hear.

“Lyla Lowe!”

She still did not answer him.

With a screech, the car stopped. Mark looked at her.”Lyla Lowe, are you trying to get me to use that method to make you talk?”

Lyla paled and she looked at him warily. “You wouldn’t dare!”

“You’re finally opening your mouth?”

“Mark Pattinson, if you dare lay a hand on me again, I’ll…”

“You’ll what?”

“I’ll chase you out of the house, and Hansel and Gretel won’t acknowledge you anymore!” Lyla said word by word.

“You’ll chase me out of the house? Don’t forget that I was the one who bought the house!”

“Don’t forget that you gave the house to me. The house is under my name. I can chase you out at any time!”

Mark was stunned. He had forgotten about that. “Lyla, you heartless woman!”

Lyla put on a fake smile. “I was the one who gave birth to my son and daughter. Mark Pattinson, you better not mess with me!”

“I admit that you gave birth to our son and daughter, but would you have been able to give birth without me?”

Lyla. “...”

Seeing that Lyla had nothing to say, Mark raised his eyebrows. Score one for Mark Pattinson.

Lyla smiled at his smug expression. “That’s true, I couldn’t have given birth without you, but do you think Hansel and Gretel will listen to you, or to me?”

Mark. “...”

If they had to compare, of course the children would listen to Lyla more, especially Hansel. He was very opinionated, but he listened to Lyla. As for Gretel, she was definitely someone who bent with the wind. She followed however Hansel acted.

“So, Mr. Pattinson, you’d best not provoke me. Otherwise, that’ll be what happens!”

Mark was silent. After a long time, he gritted his teeth and said, “Lyla, you heartless woman!”

Lyla nodded gracefully. “Thank you for the compliment!”

“If you make the children disown me, I’ll let the entire world know!” With no other options, Mark could only act shamelessly.

However, Lyla was not afraid. The most important thing was Hansel and Gretel’s acknowledgment. If they did not acknowledge him, there was nothing Mark could do.

Seeing that she still looked fearless, Mark snorted coldly before starting the car and driving.

When they were about to reach the company, Lyla told him to stop so she could go in by herself, but Mark refused and parked the car in front of the main entrance.

Lyla gritted her teeth. She was really about to die from anger. She tried to get out of the car, but Mark refused to unlock the car door.

“What the hell do you want?” Lyla looked at him furiously.

“Nothing much. I just want you to get out of the car later!”

“Mark Pattinson, you’re doing this on purpose!”

Mark nodded. “That’s right, I’m doing this on purpose!”
