Chapter 146 I Only Like You

“You like cute ones?” Lyla raised her eyebrows seriously. “Ok, there are many out there, I’ll find a few to come in for you immediately!”

With that said, Lyla got up and was about to leave.

“Hey!” Mark hurriedly got up, walked around, and stopped in front of her to block her. Hints of a flattering smile appeared on his delicate face. “I only like you!”

Upon seeing him like that, Lyla turned her face away, the corners of her lips could not help but raise into a smile…

The moment he saw her like that, Mark asked hurriedly, “Want to have lunch together at noon?”

“I don’t have time!”

“You’ll have to eat with me even if you don’t have time!”

“Mark Pattinson, are you abusing your power now?”

“Well, you can consider it that way!”

Lyla, “...”

“I've already made a reservation at 12:00 pm, so I’ll be waiting for you downstairs on time!”

“Hey, I'm still gossiped about by others because of what happened at the company's entrance that day!” Lyla protested. Only God knew how they interrogated her when she came to work the next day.

“Then let them do it, it’s something that’ll happen sooner or later anyway!” Mark did not mind.

In the past, in order to protect Hansel and Gretel, they did not want others to know, but now it was different because even he could not hide it.

At least they did not have to think carefully about how to protect Hansel and Gretel now.

Lyla rolled her eyes at Mark. She would still be a little worried and strongly opposed to it if it was before, but now, she also knew very clearly that there was no way to hide it. Now that Mark and the Pattinson family knew about them, many others would know about them soon.

She was more open-minded now and just went with the flow.

Anyway, Hansel and Gretel were indeed Mark’s children, so she was not afraid if others were to find out.

“At 12:00 pm and at the entrance of the company. If you don't come down, I'll go up to find you!” Mark threatened, but that was definitely not to scare her.

Lyla rolled her eyes at him. “Okay!” After speaking, she just turned away and left.

Mark grinned subconsciously as he looked at her back like a young man in love.

It turned out that love could be this sweet.

…...

At 12:00 pm, Lyla arrived at the entrance of the company on time.

Mark was already waiting.

He wore black, which highlighted his aristocratic temperament. He was leaning on the sports car and his legs looked extremely slender.

Even if it was just a scene like this, Mark still looked like an absolutely graceful spirit, making it difficult to look away from him.

Lyla walked over and looked at him while Mark immediately got up and smiled at her. “Very punctual!”

“Of course, I'm always very punctual.”

“Get in the car!” Mark said as he opened the door for her like a gentleman. Lyla did not hesitate, she just smiled and sat in the car.

Work would continue at 2:00 pm, so there was plenty of time to eat in between and many people would go out to eat. When Lyla got into Mark's car, everyone began to gossip again.

However, Lyla and Mark did not bother to deal with these gossips at this moment, they just drove away.

In the car, Lyla did not forget to look at him from the side. “Can't you keep a lower profile?”

“I want to, but I can't help it, I can't keep a low profile!” Mark said helplessly.

Lyla could not help but roll her eyes at him, this man seemed like he would become sick if he did not act narcissistically.

However, what he said was indeed true.

Let alone everything else, even with just that face, wherever he went, it would definitely catch the attention of others. Therefore, it was indeed really difficult for him to keep a low profile.

Lyla was a little bit distressed. Hansel looked so similar to Mark, what if he was going to be like Mark when he grew up?

“What are you thinking about?” Mark asked as he saw that she was being quiet.

“I was thinking, it’ll be better if Hansel doesn’t grow up to be like you!”

“Why?”

“He’ll have a handsome face, like a spirit, I don't want that!”

Mark frowned suddenly. “Could it be that it’s wrong to be handsome?”

“It's okay to look handsome, but I just hope that Hansel will not look like you!”

“Do you know how many people envy me for having this face?” Why did all of his good points become worthless in the eyes of Lyla?

This made Mark feel very helpless.

Lyla observed him as she spoke, and then nodded seriously. “Well, it’s quite nice, it’s pleasing to the eye!”

Mark's lips curved up slightly. Now that was more like it!

“It's especially suitable for being a lover, but not a husband!”

Mark's face darkened again. “Lyla, what do you mean?”

“Nothing, it's just some comments based on your face!”

“What about you, what do you think of me? You want me to be your lover?” Mark asked as he gritted his teeth, this woman always had the ability to make him want to stamp his feet with anger.

Unexpectedly, Lyla smiled. "That depends!”

“You --”

“Okay, okay, I’m just teasing you!” Just as she saw that he was going crazy, Lyla quickly patted him on the shoulder to comfort him. He was driving, so it was no joke. If Mark was to go crazy, then he would definitely speed up again and leave her dumbfounded.

Mark rolled his eyes at her, he was not going to bicker with her now, so he would just talk about it at night!

They arrived at the restaurant.

The two ordered food, ate, and got along like that, which was indeed much better than before. At least Lyla did not keep on avoiding him.

“By the way, have the Pattinson family come to you lately?” Mark asked Lyla.

Lyla shook her head. “No, they haven’t come to me since that day!”
