Chapter 163 Your Mom's Missing

These remarks made Justin Pattinson's face turn red with anger.

The more he forbade Mark from doing something, the more Mark went against him.

Logan Pattinson was also furious because he did not manage to fire Lyla Lowe and since the whole company knew about Lyla and Mark’s little entanglement, not many would dare to easily mess with her.

He said, "Dad, why aren’t you doing anything about it? Mark’s not working and is clearly messing around at our workplace!"

Justin's face was glum and he recalled what Mark had said to him earlier that day.

Mark was certain that Justin would not take back all his power.

Justin thought about this and became even more infuriated.

Eileen Dawson was sitting on the side with a faint expression. After a while, she spoke, "Actually, it's not impossible to make him obey us..."

When Logan heard this, he turned to her and asked, "Mom, you have a way?"

Justin also looked at her, curious about what she was referring to.

The corners of Eileen's mouth curled up into a smile as she sat there and said, "If you want her to leave, there are plenty of ways!"

Justin frowned.

"You mean…”

......

Gossip was all around the office. As soon as Lyla stepped outside her office door, everyone looked at her with strange eyes. Those who were somewhat close to her would ask her about it, but it was futile no matter how much she denied it.

Thus, she only walked out of her office after everyone had left in the evening.

Just as she reached the entrance of the office building, her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was Mark, so she did not answer. If she was seen with him again at the end of the day, she would not be able to deny their relationship no matter how much she explained.

When she got to the entrance, there was a taxi waiting in front, so Lyla went over without hesitation and opened the door to get in the car.

The car drove away just as the call was cut off.

Lyla also did not want to return the call. She looked at the driver and said, "Parch Urban!"

"Okay!"

As the car was moving on the road, Lyla thought about what happened earlier and felt a little dizzy.

After a while, she sighed and looked out the window. However, she noticed that something was off and said, "Hey, this isn’t the way to Parch Urban!"

The driver in front replied, "Oh, that road is under repair, so we can only go from here!"

Lyla’s brows were tightly knitted when she heard this because she did not see any maintenance work in the morning on the way to the office with Mark. Why would it suddenly be closed for repairs in less than a day?

She looked at the driver in front of her and felt uneasy, but she just nodded and said, "Okay."

Although she said this, Lyla quietly took out her phone and dialed a number.

On the other hand, Mark was still angry that this woman was not answering the phone again. He was just about to call back when she saw her call and immediately picked up.

Mark answered the call with a roar, "Lyla Lowe! You didn’t answer my calls again, huh..."

"Excuse me, Mister, what road is this?"

"Greek Avenue!"

"Isn’t Greek Avenue quite far from Parch Urban?"

The driver simply said, "It's a little far, but we’ll have to go around!"

"But when I came over this morning, I didn't see any road repair!"

"It was a last-minute repair this afternoon!"

Lyla nodded and said, "Okay!"

Mark was holding the phone as he listened to the conversation on the other end of the call, feeling vaguely uneasy.

"Lyla, what's happening?"

At that moment, the call ended.

He frowned as he looked at the phone and pondered when his office door was pushed open. J walked in and said, "Mr. Pattinson..."

Mark asked, "Is there ongoing repair works on the road back right now?"

J was stunned by the question. He then shook his head and replied, "No, I just used that road!"

"There isn’t?"

Mark frowned.

J nodded his head and was certain.

"There isn’t!"

Mark felt that something was wrong and tried to call Lyla again, but her phone was unavailable and could not be answered for the time being.

His heart tensed up and his face turned glum.

“D*mn it!”

The next second, he picked up his car keys and rushed back...

"Mr. Pattinson, where are you going?"

J was still clueless to what happened as he watched Mark's figure disappear from his line of sight and helplessly shook his head...

......

While driving, Mark kept calling Lyla, but it was always unavailable.

All he could think of was that something bad had happened to her.

The thought of this made his heart feel indescribably heavy. He suddenly recalled Lyla’s call earlier when she mentioned Greek Avenue.

Right.

Greek Avenue.

Mark drove as fast as he could to Greek Avenue. Even though he knew that they might not be there anymore, he still sped over.

Sure enough, when he arrived at Greek Avenue, he could not see anything from the cars passing by. He drove around and still could not find her. He then called Lyla, but her phone was out of service.

“D*mn it!”

Mark almost smashed the phone.

However, he had to calm down at that moment.

He parked at the roadside and looked straight ahead to try and keep himself calm. He looked at the endless flow of vehicles and finally thought of one person.

Hansel.
