Chapter 164 Get Out Of My Sight

"Quickly find out who the owner of that car is!"

J said on the other end of the call, "I've already checked. The license plate doesn't match the car, so I think it’s fake!"

Mark's eyebrows knitted up.

That made sense. If someone truly wanted to harm Lyla, they would not openly show up at the entrance to get caught in the surveillance camera. It would be too obvious then.

Mark’s face turned glum and said, “Then follow that fake license plate and get the recordings on Greek Avenue. I need to know where this car went!”

J heard Mark’s tone and quickly replied, "Yes, sir. I’ll check immediately!"

After hanging up the phone, Mark paced around the room. He simply could not stand still because he did not even know who the other party was and what was their motive.

‘Lyla, you can’t be in trouble!’

Mark shouted in his heart.

At the same time, Hansel was searching in a flurry on the laptop. He had the same worried and nervous expression as his father.

Mark walked to his side and asked, "How is it?"

"The signal disappeared at Hudson Avenue!"

"How can it disappear?"

Hansel replied, "Either the signal is blocked, or Mommy’s device is broken!"

"Hudson Avenue? I'll go over now. You both wait at home and let me know if there's any news!"

"Daddy, I'll go with you!"

Hansel also wanted to follow.

"No, it's too dangerous. Plus, you must stay at home and continue to track Mommy's whereabouts!"

"Gretel can help with that!"

Mark glanced at Gretel. Although Gretel also wanted to tag along, she was clear on the situation. She knew that if she went along, she would just drag her father down.

Gretel nodded.

Mark thought about it and nodded after.

"Good!"

He then picked up his phone and said, "J, come over to my house now!"

"Daddy, why do you want him to come over?"

Mark asked, "Do you want to leave your sister alone at home?"

Only then did Hansel understand what it meant.

Gretel said, "Daddy, don't worry. I’ll protect myself!"

Mark stroked her head. These two were Lyla's most beloved. They were also his children, so he would not allow anything to happen to them.

Shortly after, J arrived. Mark explained the situation to him and left with Hansel.

Hansel took his iPad to search for the address while Mark drove his car. When they arrived at an abandoned factory on Hudson Avenue, the signal was gone.

The father-son duo circled the same place for a long time and looked around, but not a single person could be seen.

Mark was furious. He was about to lose it when he stepped on something. He lowered his eyes and saw that it was a watch.

Frowning, he picked it up and instantly recognized that it belonged to Lyla.

The twins also had the same one, just in a different size.

Mark said, "Look at this!"

When Hansel heard this, he immediately went forward and saw the watch in Mark’s hands. He took it over at once and his expression was gloomy as he said, "No wonder the signal was lost over here!"

Mark was mad and shouted, "D*mn it! If I find out who did this, I won’t let them get away with it!"

Seeing that Mark was angry, Hansel spoke, "Daddy, I know you're worried about Mommy. I'm with you too, but if we want to save Mommy, we must be sensible, only then will we have a chance!"

Mark looked at him. Although Hansel was young, what he said was very reasonable. Mark then regained his composure and nodded his head.

Hansel looked around and said, "Now, we can be sure of two things. Mommy was here and she was indeed kidnapped!"

Mark had calmed down and took a look around.

"Since they’ve left, there shouldn’t be any leads, so let's go home first and wait for other news!"

Hansel did not object, nodded, and followed Mark.

All through the night, there was no news nor any phone calls.

J was also aware of the situation, looked at Mark and said, "If they wanted money, they would’ve called!"

Mark was silent. His thin lips tightly pursed and he also had the same thought.

J was just about to say something else when his phone rang. He immediately answered, "Hey...Oh? Okay, got it!"

After hanging up the phone, J looked at Mark and said, "Mr. Pattinson, the surveillance video has been sent to your email!"

Hearing these words, Mark returned to his senses and immediately walked towards the computer, logged into his email, and checked the video that was sent over.

Mark stared at the screen for a long time and in the end, the car disappeared at Hudson Avenue.

He tightened his lips and shouted, "Still no progress!"

Hansel was behind him and said, "Daddy, how about I hack the surveillance video of all the locations in Alpine City?"

Hearing this, Mark looked back at Hansel. Although this method was a little dumb, it seemed to be the only way at that moment.

Mark had forgotten that his son was a computer wiz, so he nodded, got up, and gave way. Hansel sat there and started working his magic. Everyone was stunned by his speed.

Since Mark had already seen it before, he was not as stupefied as J, who was standing by the side, looking amazed.

J knew that Hansel was not ordinary, but he did not expect this...

He was astonished from the beginning to the end, with his mouth slightly ajar and his eyes unmovingly staring at Hansel...

J just thought that he wanted to kneel and worship this little master.
