Chapter 178 We've Already Done It So Why Can't I Look

It took a while before Lyla pushed Mark away. She was blushing. “I’m hungry.”

Although Mark could not get enough of her, he had her in the bag. There was no need to rush things. Mark rubbed his belly. “I’m feeling hungry too.”

Lyla’s eyes lit up. “Shall I call my darling and have him deliver some food over?” Lyla happily enquired.

Mark shook his head. “It’s really late now. Let’s not trouble our darling. “

“What should we do then?”

Mark fell into contemplation before uttering. “Let’s go out to eat.”

“Go out?” Lyla’s eyes widened. “Is that a good idea? You’re still injured. If the hospital finds out...”

A finger pressed against her lips before she could finish. “I'll be fine as long as I take the necessary precautions. Don’t overthink it. I just need one word from you — Yes or no?”

Lyla might have been worried but, from his eyes, she could tell that Mark wanted to go. Hence, she curled her lips. “Yes.”

Mark’s lips perked up. “Now this is the confident and resolute woman I know.” He planted a smooch on her forehead with a loud smack.

Lyla. “...”

Accustomed to his daily romantic advances, Lyla smiled. “How are we getting out of here?”

“By sneaking out.”

“Okay.”

With the decision made, the pair quietly began their preparations.

First on the agenda was a change of clothes. Fortunately for them, Hansel had prepared two sets of clothes. While changing into the appropriate attire, Mark did not bother to pull the curtains in the middle before stripping and putting on his outfit.

Lyla immediately turned away. “Mark Pattinson, where are your manners?”

Unperturbed, Mark laid bare his chiselled abs. “What manners? We’ve already done it so what’s there to be afraid of?”

Lyla. “...”

She found Mark’s shamelessness hopeless.

“Oh, just change your clothes and head out after,” Lyla said. She turned around with her back facing him, refusing to look at him.

While she remained still, Mark quietly sneaked up from behind. With his upper body undressed, he clung onto her back. Lyla jumped at the touch of his scorching chest. “What are you doing?”

“I don’t feel like going out anymore, I just want... to have you.”

Lyla gently nudged him away. “Quit fooling around. I’m hungry.”

Her blushing face put Mark in a great mood. Sure he might be really tempted, but he did not have the heart to leave Lyla starving. Thus, he held it together.

Mark whispered against her ear. “You won’t have any more excuses once I’m discharged.”

Lyla pretended to be deaf. “Are we still going out?”

“Of course.” Mark continued with the change of wardrobe but still did not bother with social norms.

Lyla’s head was spinning. She really had no idea how to handle this man.

However, she had to admit that Mark sure had a body.

With her back facing him, Lyla’s mind fell into the gutter...

She wondered what Mark would do if he were to find out...

Mark soon got dressed and it was Lyla’s turn.

Seeing that he was not leaving her space, Lyla frowned. “Get out.”

“Why should I leave?”

“I need to change my clothes.”

Mark lifted a wicked smile. “I’ve seen you, touched you, and even done the deed. We even have children. What’s there to be shy about?”

Lyla. “...”

The incident several years ago could not be compared to the present, all right?

“Get out.”

Mark shook his head. “The hospital staff will catch me if I were to go out. We won’t be able to leave the hospital.”

“Fine, I’m not going.” There was no way she could change her clothes in front of Mark.

Mark approached her. “I guess I’ll have to help you since you refuse to change.” With that, he began to unbutton Lyla’s clothes.

At a loss, Lyla took a step back. “I’ll do it myself.”

“I thought you refused to?”

Lyla rolled her eyes at him. “Go over there.”

“Where?”

“There.” Lyla pointed at the corner where his bed was.

Raising a brow, Mark nodded and headed to the corner.

Luckily, there was a curtain in between. Lyla pulled the curtains before warning Mark. “Don’t come over and don’t peek.”

Standing a short distance away, Mark kept quiet and gave a harmless look.

Taking his silence as yielding, Lyla finally went back and changed her clothes.

As a matter of fact, she was conscious that Mark was not one to listen so she would turn her head back from time to time. It was fine in the beginning since he did not draw near. Although Lyla was perplexed by his obedience, she was at least able to let loose.

Mark loomed out of nowhere when she was ready to put on a blouse. “How did I fail to notice your great figure a few years back?”

His words gave Lyla a fright. She used her clothes to cover herself out of a knee-jerk reaction but Mark had seen it all.

“Mark Pattinson, you—”

With a wicked smile on his face, Mark came forth and gently cuddled her. He even took a whiff of her scent. “How that night several years ago was... I really want to relive it.”

Lyla yelled through clenched teeth, “... MARK PATTINSON!”

Sensing her brewing rage, Mark let out an innocent smile. “Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to you now. Please continue with your change of clothes and then we can dine out.”

“Get lost now.”

“Why do I need to get out when I’ve already seen everything?”

“Get out!”
