Chapter 189 Gretel Wants To Go

“I know. I know all that, but I can’t help but worry and be afraid. What if something happens to them? I won’t be able to accept it!” Lyla said without raising her head. Her entire body leaned on Mark.

When she saw Lingo and Mark, she could even imagine Hansel and Gretel’s future. They were still so small and it would take many years before they grew up, but who knew what would happen in those years?

Just the thought of that made Lyla afraid.

Why did everything change?

Mark listened to Lyla’s words and licked his lips. “I know, but don’t worry. I’ll protect them in this process. I’ll let them grow up safely!”

Hearing these words, Lyla raised her eyes and looked at him tearfully. “Really?”

Mark hooked his lips in a smile. “They’re my son and daughter. Isn’t it natural that I should protect them? Besides, many people in Hell’s Angels Alliance will protect them too. There’s Lingo and others who you’ve never met before. Those people are a great deterrent in this business, so you have to believe that the kids will both be fine!”

Lyla pursed her lips. In fact, in her heart, she knew better than anyone that if they were destined to go down this path, she had to let go.

In the end, she nodded.

“You’re agreeing?”

“What else can I do besides agree?” Lyla wiped away the tears on her face.

Mark hooked up his lips in a smile. Then, he once again pressed Lyla’s head to his chest. “If you’re going to rely on me, please rely on me till the end!”

Lyla struggled and wanted to move, but Mark pressed against her tightly so she could not move at all. She simply gave up and held out her hands, and also hugged Mark’s waist. The room was warmed up by their feelings...

……

The two people only went down when it was time to eat. Hansel also knew that something happened and became very attentive.

“Mummy, I cooked all of your favorites today!” Hansel said.

Mark walked over and sat down. “I’m the injured person here. Why didn’t you make my favorites?”

“Oh, I forgot. My heart only has Mummy. Sorry, Daddy!” Hansel apologized.

Hansel’s words were clearly deliberate, but they worked very well on Lyla. The corner of her mouth hooked up, but she did not say anything.

At that moment, Hansel pushed Gretel to the front and wished her luck. Gretel brought over a glass of water. “Mummy, I was wrong. I shouldn’t make you angry, I…”

“Alright, I know. Since you have something you want to do, then do it!” Lyla said.

Gretel was stunned for a moment. Did she hear wrongly?

She blinked and blinked again, looking at Lyla. “Mummy, w-what did you say?”

“Didn’t you say you wanted to follow Lingo? Go ahead!”

“Mummy, are you serious???” Gretel looked at Lyla incredulously. Her eyes were bright and spirited.

Lyla nodded. “I am!”

“Mummy, you’re the best. You’re too good to me!” Gretel was so excited that she almost jumped into Lyla’s arms.

The water in the cup instantly spilled out.

After realizing it, Gretel tensed and looked at Lyla, looking like she committed a mistake.

The next second, Lyla could not help but laugh.

Seeing Lyla laugh, the whole atmosphere relaxed. Gretel put the cup on the table and gently threw herself into Lyla’s arms.

“Mummy, thank you!”

Lyla stroked her head. “Alright, don’t act so pampered. Hurry up and eat!”

“I want to hold you a little longer!”

“It seems you don’t want to go upstairs to pack up later!”

“Pack what up?”

“Looks like you don’t want to leave with Lingo tomorrow!”

Gretel instantly understood and jumped away. “Oh, let’s eat! Let’s eat!”

Seeing Gretel change her face faster than flipping a page, everyone also laughed.

Lingo sat across the table and ate. Her gaze was also full of appreciation as she glanced at Lyla.

She did not expect Lyla to agree, and so quickly at that. Few people could accept their children doing such dangerous things.

Furthermore, it was both her children.

If something really went wrong...

In any case, Lingo now seemed to understand how Hansel and Gretel came to be.

It was because Lyla was not an ordinary woman either.

During the meal, the atmosphere was also much more harmonious.

After eating, Gretel went back to her room to organize her things, and Hansel followed her in.

“Hansel, do you have anything to explain or instruct?”

“Have you really thought about going with Lingo?”

“Why, are you worried too? It’s just three days. I’ll be back soon!”

Hansel walked over and sat on the bed. “No, I just want to tell you to be careful. The outside is not like being at home!”

“I know, Hansel, I’m not that delicate. I won’t act like this outside!” Gretel said.

Hansel’s mouth lifted in a pleased smile. “You’ve grown up!”

“Brother, are you complimenting me?”

“Of course!”

Gretel also sat on the bed and looked at Hansel. “So many things have happened during this time. We can’t go back to the peaceful life we had long ago, so that means we can only move forward now, not backward!”

Hansel was very pleased. “It’s good if you understand that. Remember to call me if anything happens!”

“Okay!”
