Chapter 191 Logan Is Hospitalized

There was no way Piers did not know what that meant. He immediately understood and said, “Sure, Boss, I got it!”

“Well, when releasing him… Just dump him at the Pattinson residence gate!”

“Don’t worry. No problem!”

After hanging up the phone, Hansel sighed in relief. Then, he served his Mummy and Daddy food and drinks.

……

Unexpectedly, in the afternoon.

The parents and child were enjoying their family happiness when Mark’s phone rang. Seeing that it was from Justin Pattinson, Mark’s expression immediately became displeased. He thought about it for a long time but answered it in the end.

“Hello!”

“Mark, just what do you want? No matter what Logan did, he’s still your younger brother. How could you do this to him? I’m telling you, if anything happens to Logan, I won’t let you off the hook!” As soon as the phone was answered, he heard Justin shout on the other end.

Mark frowned. “It seems like you’re not happy I let him go!”

“Let him go? Why don’t you see what he looks like now? It seems that I overestimated you!”

“What do you mean?”

“You know very well what I mean. I’m telling you, if something happens to Logan, I’ll never let you off!” Then, he hung up with a snap.

Mark’s brow wrinkled. His face was unspeakably gloomy.

The voice on the phone was not soft, and Lyla heard everything clearly.

She immediately looked at Hansel, who quickly sat far away.

“What are you hiding for? Do you know what happened?” Lyla asked him.

“I… don’t know!” Hansel denied. He had simply given Piers instructions. He was also not very aware of what Piers did.

“You don’t know? You were the one who released him, but you don’t know?”

“I really don’t know! Mummy, calm down. I’ll make a phone call now to ask!” Then, Hansel fumbled for his cell phone and immediately made the call.

Hansel hoped that no one would answer. That way, he could put the blame on Piers. However, he did not expect that the phone would be answered in just a few seconds.

“Hello, Boss, what’s up?”

“Well, I want to ask you. What happened to Logan Pattinson?” Hansel raised his voice and asked, obviously giving him a hint.

However, Piers did not catch it and laughed. “Boss, don’t worry. I acted according to your orders. He’s not dead nor crippled. We just gave him a little lesson!”

Hansel. “...”

Goddammit. One sentence exposed everything.

Lyla looked at Hansel, and Hansel smiled sheepishly. “Mummy, it’s not what you think…”

“Boss, what’s wrong?” At that moment, Piers realized that something was wrong and asked.

“I was screwed over by you!” Then, Hansel hung up the phone. He looked at Lyla and offered a flattering smile. “Mummy…”

“Didn’t you say you didn’t know? That it had nothing to do with you?”

“I just said it casually. I didn’t think he’d really do it!”

“Piers listens to you. Do you think he’d think what you said was just a casual remark?”

“Mummy!”

“Alright!” Mark spoke up. “What’s done is done. Besides, nothing much happened anyway!” Mark said.

Lyla looked at him. “We still don’t know how he is now!”

“It’s fine as long as he isn’t dead. I’m not happy about letting him go just like that either!” Mark said. His words were protecting Hansel and venting at the same time.

Lyla. “...”

Hansel immediately came up to Mark. “Hear that? Daddy feels the same too. It’s clear that men think alike. How could we let him go easily?”

Lyla rolled her eyes, deeply feeling that Hansel would become a second Mark Pattinson, character wise.

“So, what now?”

“What can we do? We’ll just do what we can!”

Lyla. “...”

“Or we could ask around and go have a look!” Lyla said.

“No need!”

Lyla looked at him and knew that he was angry because of Justin’s phone call. She thought about it and said, “Don’t you want to go and see how Logan is doing now?”

Mark raised her eyes and looked at her, pursing his lips silently.

……

In the hospital.

The family of three came.

However, Hansel was not here to visit Logan. He was there purely because his Mummy had threatened him.

After finding the ward, the three walked in. At that moment, Justin and Eileen were with Logan.

“How are you? Are you okay?”

“Mom, I’m fine!”

“Are you really okay?”
