Chapter 193 Rumors Everywhere

At noon, Lyla went to Mark’s office.

Lyla's thoughts were too simple. She thought that they would just eat something simple, but after going in, she was greeted by a table in the style of a standard western restaurant, and was instantly dumbfounded.

“What…”

Mark smiled and reached out to wrap his hand around her, elegant and exuding gentleness. “I haven’t come to the company for a while and there’s a lot to do, so I can’t go out to eat. We can settle with eating here!”

“Settle with?” Lyla laughed at those words and pointed to the pile of food on the table. “Mr. Pattinson, you really know how to settle with something!”

“Is that so?”

“...Yes!”

“Well, come over and settle with it then!”

“Alright!” Lyla listened to him and sat down.

They sat opposite each other.

“Come, let’s toast first to celebrate my recovery!”

“You’re drinking right after recovering?”

“I’m almost fine!” Mark clinked his glass with hers and took a sip.

Lyla looked at him. The corners of her mouth pulled up in a curve and she also drank some.

“Why don’t you try this?” Mark pointed to the steak in front of him.

Lyla looked at it, picked up a knife and fork, and started to eat.

After taking a bite, Lyla said, “Is it from the usual place?”

“Are you sure?”

“I’m sure!”

“It’s no wonder your son said you have a tricky mouth. He’s completely right. You could tell in just one bite!”

“It’s not called tricky. It’s called having good taste!”

“Yes, yes, yes!” Mark nodded. “Alright, dig in!”

Lyla smiled and ate.

The two did not discuss just what their relationship was, but they seemed to know in their hearts. This feeling of getting along effortlessly was something they never had before.

“By the way, I heard that we’re hiring a deputy director?” Lyla asked while eating.

“Yes. That can also reduce your burden!”

“Actually, I have a suggestion!”

“What suggestion?”

“Ethan Miller has good qualifications and is more than good enough to sit in my position as director, let alone deputy director!” Lyla said.

Mark nodded. “That’s true, but I have better arrangements for where he goes. You don’t have to worry about that!”

“Looks like I made an unnecessary move!”

“No, on the contrary, your words reminded me!”

Lyla smiled. “That’s good!”

The two ate and drank their fill. Fortunately, Lyla often drank some red wine, so she drank some glasses with Aizen. Although she did not get drunk, her face had started to flush.

“Let’s stop drinking. If we keep drinking, we won’t be able to work later!” Lyla shook her head.

Although she was not drunk, her face was flushed red. Coupled with her delicate makeup, her every move and every smile was very charming.

Mark looked at her and felt his heart move.

“Alright, let’s stop drinking!” He laughed.

Lyla frowned. “What are you laughing at?”

“Come here!”

“What for?” Although she asked, Lyla still walked over, but Mark’s long arm pulled her to him before she reached him. Mark flipped them so Lyla lay on the sofa, and Mark continued to look at her...

Lyla seemed to realize something. “What are you doing?”

“What do you think?” Mark smiled, looking at Lyla’s bewitching eyes. He wanted nothing more than to completely devour her now.

How could this woman make him so tempted? There was simply no way to control himself.

He caressed her exquisite face. “Have you ever seen how you look after you drink? How beautiful…”

“Mark Pattinson, are you doing this on purpose?” Lyla asked him. Even if she was interrogating him, Mark still found it extremely cute.

“You only found out now? From the beginning, this was… a plot!” Mark whispered in her ear.

Lyla smacked him angrily. “I’m going back to work!”

“It’s break time now!”

“I’ll rest in my own office!”

“This place is bigger. No, there are rooms inside!”

Lyla did not know if her face was red because of the wine or Mark’s words. “Mark Pattinson… Mmh!”

Her words did not finish as Mark already sealed her mouth.

The urge to kiss her was so strong that he could not stop at just thinking about it.

His mind and body could not be controlled at all. Just by seeing her, ideas like that would be born.

Mark had never lost control to a woman to such an extent.

Lyla, who had drunk wine, resisted a little at first, but as she was gradually conquered by Mark’s kiss, she turned into a puddle under his forceful attack...

Then, just as the excitement peaked, someone knocked on the door from outside. “Mr. Pattinson!”

Lyla woke up with a jolt.

“Mr. Pattinson, I’m coming in!”

Lyla almost died of fright and smacked Mark. He had heard it too, but did not want to interrupt what was going on now.

“Mark!” Lyla patted his shoulder.

God knows what mood he was in at being interrupted at this crucial time.

The person had already pushed the door and walked in, but as soon as she reached the door, Lyla was so scared that she wanted to use Mark to shield her. Mark shouted fiercely at the person, “Get out!”

The secretary was stunned, and in the next second, immediately understood what was going on, and instantly went out.

Goddammit.
