Chapter 196 Lest You Get Splattered By Blood

“I can’t calm down!” Arden suddenly shouted, scaring Lyla.

She looked at him.

Arden looked a little broken. “Lyla, do you know how long I’ve liked you? Do you know?”

Lyla. “...”

Now, no matter what Arden said, Lyla could not be moved. She only felt helpless.

“Senior, I’m sorry. All I can give you are these words!”

“No, I don’t want those words. I want something else!” Then, he pulled her forcefully into his arms.

“Let go!”

“Let go of me!”

“No, Lyla, I won’t let go!”

… …

Hansel, who was standing on the balcony, saw this scene and shook his head helplessly. He could only dial a number on his phone.

“Daddy!”

“I’m in a meeting. What’s the matter?”

“Oh, nothing much. I just wanted to show you something!” Then, he turned on the video option and aimed it outside.

Mark was still wondering what the hell Hansel was up to, but when he saw the pair in the video, his brows suddenly tightened up.

Hansel put the phone to his ear again. “How about it, Daddy? Is the meeting more important or this matter at home more important?”

“I’ll be right back!” Then, the phone was cut off.

Hansel was in no hurry, leisurely looking at the people outside. He glanced at the time, wondering how long it would take until Daddy arrived.

……

With a snap, a slap was thrown on Arden’s face.

Lyla looked at him with anger. “Mr. Pattinson, this slap is to make you sober up a little. If you continue to be like this, then it seems that we can only be strangers!”

She did not know whether it was the slap or the way she called him Mr. Pattinson that sobered Arden up, but he calmed down and looked at Lyla, pursing his lips. “I’m sorry…”

Lyla was the kind of person who easily became soft-hearted, especially to those who admit their mistakes. She had no way of being forceful in those cases.

However, her expression was still cold. “Mr. Pattinson, I’ll pretend that nothing happened here, so go back. I hope that there won’t be a next time!”

“Lyla…”

“Goodbye!”

Then, Lyla did not linger and turned to leave.

She had not gone far when she felt a stream of light followed by the sound of brakes. She turned around to see Mark get out of his car and walk towards Arden, and with a bam, the two men started to fight.

At that time, Hansel jumped out of his room. “Wow, five minutes. It only took five minutes!”

Lyla did not know what was going on, but she frowned as she looked at the scuffle happening behind her.

Just as she was about to walk up, Hansel stopped her. “Mummy, why are you going there?”

“They’re fighting. We have to stop them!”

“This is a fight between men. It’s better if a woman like you doesn't participate!”

Lyla. “...”

She rolled her eyes and ignored him, and was just about to walk when Hansel pulled her. “Don’t go. Come on, we’ll watch from here and see who wins!”

Lyla. “...”

He was still in the mood to watch a fight?

“Mummy, who do you think will win?”

“How would I know?”

“Sigh, we shouldn’t see who wins in a fight between men, but who’s more vicious!”

“Mummy, have you noticed that when men fight, they throw punches at each other, but when women fight, they grab onto each other and refuse to let go?”

Lyla. “...”

At this time, Hansel was still curiously analyzing these from the side.

She was almost impressed by him.

“Aren’t you afraid that your Daddy will lose?”

“Nope. If Daddy loses, I’ll look down on him!”

Lyla. “...”

She could not be bothered to say much to Hansel and shook him off, and walked directly towards them.

Mark and Arden fought quite vigorously.

“I warned you to stop harassing her!”

“Hah! Warned me? Mark Pattinson, your warnings are only used to scare those who are afraid of you, but I’m not one of them!”

“You’re courting death!”

……

Lyla walked up and tried to stop them, but did not know how to start. “Stop fighting!” She shouted.

The two people did not listen and continued to fight.

No matter how Lyla tried to stop them, the two people just refused to separate. She had a feeling that the more she tried them, the more they fought.

Hansel shouted from behind. “Mummy, stand back or you might get splattered in blood!”

Looking at them, Lyla pursed her lips and stopped trying to stop them. She turned and walked away.

“Huh? Mummy, where are you going?”

“To eat!”

“You’re not watching anymore?”

Lyla glanced over there. “No. What’s there to watch anyway? I might as well go back and watch a boxing match!”

Hansel. “...”

“You stop watching too. Let’s go back and eat!”

Hansel. “...”

This time, it was his turn to be speechless.
