Chapter 197 Carmen Pattinson Is Back

“Isn’t there anything else in your mind?”

“Daddy, someone outside is looking for you!” At that time, there was a knock on the door and Hansel called from outside.

There would always be someone looking for him during these critical moments. Mark was getting extremely annoyed. “Turn them away!”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes!”

“Okay!”

Mark continued to look at the person in front of him and smiled. “Let’s continue…”

“Is my brother in the room?”

“Yeah, he might be doing something really important with Mummy, so it’s not very convenient!” Hansel smiled embarrassedly.

“Oh, I see…”

The conversation outside clearly reached the ears of the two people.

Mark frowned when he heard the woman’s voice. Carmen?

“Who is it?” Lyla asked Mark.

“Carmen!”

Then, Mark lost interest in continuing to tangle together and turned around, and started walking towards the door.

“Carmen?” He opened his mouth.

Carmen Pattinson was just about to leave when she heard his voice. She turned around with a smile. “Brother!”

Mark walked over quickly, frowning when he came up to Carmen. “Why are you back?”

“How could I not come back after such a big thing happened?”

Mark’s mouth hooked up in a complicated smile. “You should have said when you were coming. I would’ve picked you up!”

“I came straight here after I got off the plane, so it’s more convenient!”

Mark nodded.

At that time, Lyla cleaned up and came out of the room after changing into her pajamas. “Who is it?”

When she went out, Carmen looked at Lyla and smiled. “Sister-in-law!”

The title actually made Lyla feel at a loss, as well as somewhat inexplicably happy.

“Just call me Lyla!”

“I’m afraid my brother won’t be happy if I call you by name!”

Lyla glanced at Mark. “He won’t mind, right?” She asked.

Mark raised his brows. “I think that Carmen called you correctly. You’ll be her sister-in-law in the future, so you should get used to it!”

Lyla. “...”

Carmen laughed.

“Alright, let’s not stand here and talk. Let’s go inside!” Hansel said.

Mark nodded.

Hansel conscientiously went up to Carmen. “Aunt, have you eaten yet?”

The way he called her aunt was incredibly affectionate. Carmen liked it a lot.

Even Lyla and Mark were a little surprised. Hansel never claimed kinship with any of the Pattinson family. This was the first time.

The four went down together.

At the table, Hansel immediately became very attentive and added a set of cutlery. “Aunt Carmen, I didn’t know you were coming so I didn’t prepare well. Please forgive me!”

Seeing Hansel’s lovely appearance, Carmen looked at the dishes in front of her and instantly froze.

“This is all homemade?”

“Yeah, they were cooked casually!”

Carmen could not help but look up at Mark. “Brother, I can see how… abundant your life is!”

Mark seemed indifferent. “Dig in. I guarantee that it’ll leave a lasting impression!”

Carmen laughed. “Then I’ll help myself!”

After taking a bite, she realized that Mark saying it would leave a lasting impression was not just a joke.

“Mmh, it’s delicious!”

Mark smiled. “Right?”

“Yes!” Carmen nodded and said, “I didn’t expect Sister-in-law’s cooking skills to be so good!”

Uh.

Lyla was still eating, but after hearing these words, she was stunned and then smiled awkwardly. “I didn’t make this!”

“Not you? Then, was it… Mark?” Carmen was a little incredulous.

“It was your precious nephew!” Mark said.

Carmen looked at Hansel. “You?”

Hansel said very gentlemanly, “Thank you for your praise, Aunt. I’ll continue working hard!”

Carmen wondered if she was hearing things.

“Stop wondering. You’ll know when you see it!” Mark said while eating.

Carmen nodded. “I’ll have to see it with my own eyes to believe it!”

“Then, Aunt is welcome to come and dine anytime!”

“I will!”

Carmen looked at them and said, “I heard that there’s one more. Weren’t there fraternal twins? Why is there only one?” Carmen asked them.

“You mean Gretel. She went out… to play!” Mark said.

Carmen nodded. “I see!”

“How long are you staying this time?”

“I’m not sure. I haven’t decided yet!”

“If you can stay longer, then stay longer!” Mark told her.

Carmen thought about it and nodded.
