Chapter 204 Lyla Gets Framed

Although Mark had not been together with Lyla for long, he did know her personality quite well.

She would not want fame, nor would she want to be some celebrity.

Mark pressed his lips together. “I know you don't like to attend events and interviews. These are alright, but do you know how much money you’ll gain with that fame?”

Money?

Upon hearing this, Lyla's eyes lit up. “How much?”

“That depends on how popular you are in front of the masses!”

Lyla, "..."

She knew that fame would bring people money, but it would also bring trouble and disaster to people.

“You really want me to go out there?”

“I don't want to!” Mark said. He really wanted to monopolize Lyla's beauty. However, she was now the designer of their company, so he had no choice but to let her go out there. “Right now, you’re my woman and also the designer of my company. Therefore, I want everyone to know that you and I are the best match!”

Lyla, “...”

She ate breakfast, thought for a while, and said, “Mark Pattinson, do you know that when I was in the United States, I was hit on by someone on the street!”

Upon hearing this, Mark was already unhappy. “Was it a man or a woman? What happened after that?”

“Don’t overthink it, he just thought that I was beautiful and wanted to ask if I want to join the entertainment industry!”

“Sounds like a scammer!”

“I thought so too, but in reality, he’s the one leading the economic boom, Dale!”

“It’s him? Then what happened?”

“I didn’t know about him at that time, so I just rejected him because I thought that he was a scammer!”

Mark already knew what Lyla was going to say next.

“Are you trying to say that you just want to be an ordinary person and not enter the entertainment industry?”

Lyla smiled back at him. “Smart!”

Mark also smiled. “That's different. I’ll be worried if you’re at someone else’s side, but I’m at ease if you're in my hands. Besides, you’re not in the entertainment industry, you’re someone who might become the most famous jewelry designer!”

The most famous jewelry designer. This was indeed a temptation for Lyla. After all, in this industry, it can be said that this is a great status. However, just the thought of facing the media made her feel uneasy and uncomfortable.

This was especially true if one were to talk about themselves, they would easily get criticized by others. This would be the worst.

Lyla thought for a while and looked at Mark. “Why do I feel like I’m a tool for you to make money?”

Mark did not deny it and smiled. “Honey, don't say that, it’s also not easy for me. We’ll only be able to raise the family that way!”

Lyla, “...”

The two looked at each other and could not help but smile. Mark also sat down for breakfast.

Lyla ate as she suddenly thought of something. “By the way, since when did you know how to

make breakfast?”

Mark raised his eyebrows disapprovingly. “I’ve seen my dear do it lots of times, so I naturally learned it. Besides, it’s nothing difficult!”

Yikes.

Upon seeing his proud look, Lyla laughed. “It seems that our Lowe family's family rules have really trained you well. However, if you want to fit my taste, you’ll still need to work hard!”

The three words that ‘fit my taste’ made Mark think otherwise.

He leaned over. “You mean that I’m not to your taste?”

“There’s still something missing, so keep working hard!” Lyla said as she picked up the milk and drank it.

“You say that I’m not your taste, yet you accompanied me for so long yesterday…”

Pfft.

Lyla spurted out the milk that she was drinking.

Mark smiled without care. “What? Do you want to try it again? Let’s see if I’ll fit your taste!”

“Shameless!”

Mark loved looking at her while she ate quietly.

Weirdly enough, when Mark used to be with other women, he would not want to see them again once they were done. However, he now realized that he loved this woman so much that he adored her every look.

When Lyla saw that Mark was about to lean towards her, she immediately took some bread and stuck it into his mouth. “Eat quickly, Hansel will definitely be worried since we didn’t go back yesterday!”

Mark bit the bread as he adjusted his posture. “Don’t worry, he knows that we are here!”

“You called him on the phone already?”

“I already gestured to him when we left!”

This father and son had already been scheming secretly behind her back. Lyla rolled her eyes at him and did not say anything.

The two continued eating. Suddenly, Mark’s phone rang. After answering the phone, Mark only saw a few words before hanging up.

“Honey, I’m afraid that I can’t allow you to take any day offs now!”

“Why?”

“The media has come to the company to interview you already!”

“Can I reject them?”
