Chapter 205 Lyla Gets Taken Away

Lyla gave him a calm smile. “I'll be waiting for you!”

After speaking, Lyla stepped forward and looked at them. “I am!”

“Come with us!”

Lyla nodded. Just as they were about to handcuff Lyla, Mark stepped forward. “You have no right to do this until a person is convicted!”

“We’re just doing things according to the law!”

“Do you want me to call your city mayor?” Mark asked.

They looked at each other. It was no wonder that Mark would have the right to do so. He was the boss of a big company.

At this time, their leader said, “If that’s the case, then we won’t use handcuffs. I hope Ms. Lowe will cooperate!”

“No problem!” Lyla said with a smile.

Mark walked forward, looked at her affectionately, and touched her hair. His eyes were filled with worry and distress. “Wait for me, I’ll get you out soon!”

“I believe you!”

“Let's go!”

Under the supervision of those people, Lyla followed them.

Mark stood there, looking at her back, his eyes gradually darkening...

The reporter just now had not left, so the entire process of this scene was recorded. The moment Lyla left, they had to go too. Mark looked at them. “The matter hasn't been clarified yet, so I hope that you’ll think twice before doing anything!”

Obviously, this was a warning.

Before the head reporter had spoken anything, a large number of reporters swarmed in from the outside. They took various pictures of Lyla, and Mark rushed out when he realized this.

“Get out of the way! Get out of the way!”

“Can you explain what happened?”

“We’ve received news that Ms. Lowe used low quality and radioactive jewelry. Is this true?”

All the cameras were aimed at Lyla. In fact, since they started the search and mentioned her name, she had been thinking about this matter the whole time.

All of this was planned for her.

Just like Mark said, since it was planned for her, would it not be a pity if they did not continue?

She stood in the crowd, her delicate facial features did not show any expressions, even her eyes seemed empty. It was as if nothing had happened to her and she was just a celebrity getting frantically chased after by her fans.

Lyla did not say anything, she just got into the car with the escort of the police.

When Mark came out, Lyla had already got in the car and left. After that, a large number of reporters gathered around Mark. “Mr. Pattinson, can you tell us what's going on?”

“Did you know that Ms. Lowe used low quality and radioactive jewelry without your authorization?”

“Since she said that both of you are a couple, may I know if your relationship previously was just an act? Or is it real?”

Mark stood in the crowd with a fierce aura, his eyes were extremely dark.

He could allow others to do things that hurt him, but he would never allow them to do things that would hurt Lyla and the kids.

Mark looked at the reporters with a gloomy look. “I’ll find out everything about this matter very soon. Before the matter is clear, if there are any improper remarks or personal attacks, I’ll definitely sue!” After speaking, Mark stopped explaining, turned away, and walked inside.

Despite this, the enthusiasm of a large number of reporters could not be blocked. Everyone wanted to rush in but was stopped by the security guard at the door.

“Mr. Pattinson, can you elaborate?”

“We just want to know the truth!”

Mark walked in, and J ran out from inside. “Mr. Pattinson, this is bad…” After speaking, J looked at the large number of reporters outside, and he immediately knew what was going on. He stepped forward and said something in front of Mark. Mark's expression immediately became worse.

“Immediately start a shareholder meeting now!”

“Yes, I’ll prepare it right away!”

“Also, find out where those things came from. I want to know who did this!”

Needless to say, Mark did not think that it was Lyla’s fault at all. He would never think that.

J nodded. “I understand, I’ll do it now!”

This matter quickly spread throughout the company, and everyone expressed their concern. The consequences of this matter were very serious, they may even be sentenced as criminals.

However, with Lily taking the lead, everyone did not believe that Lyla would do such a thing.

Everyone knew about her behavior at the company, so many people that did not believe it too. While everyone was discussing and worrying, there was one person who kept quiet, it was Kathleen.

Kathleen had just returned, but something like this already happened, so it was difficult to not doubt her.

“Ms. Turner, you don't seem to care about this at all?” Lily walked over and asked.

“People can only do whatever that’s within their ability. It’ll be useless even if I keep thinking about it, so what’s the worry?” Kathleen asked back.

“Are you just not worried or are you actually happy?”

“What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean. Something like this happened just after you came back. Ms. Turner, you’re also suspicious!”

“Are you suspecting me?”

“At the very least, your reaction isn’t normal!”

“I have nothing to say if you want to think so!”

“Let me tell you, you better not let me know that you’re the one who did this! Otherwise, I definitely will not let you go!” Lily warned.

Kathleen just smiled, tidied up her files, and looked at her. “Don't be too agitated. The person who got taken away isn’t you, so don’t exaggerate!” After finishing speaking, before Lily could even speak again, Kathleen turned away and walked out.
