Chapter 247 All Dreams Are Realistic

“Gretel, what’s wrong? Gretel…” Mark also spoke nervously at the side.

Hansel watched, a little at a loss for words, not knowing what to do.

Gretel began to convulse and foam at the mouth, frightening them. They could not stop her at all, and Hansel got up and ran outside.

“Gretel, Gretel…” Lyla was terrified and constantly used a towel to wipe her mouth. She tried to soothe her but was unsuccessful, and she was at a loss, not knowing what to do.

Mark pursed his lips and helped from the side. Although every movement caused his wound to tear and hurt, he did not understand what was happening and could only put on a solemn face, pretending to help calmly.

Felix watched from the doorway and wanted to go up, but he was not needed now, so he just watched from afar with worried eyes.

Soon, Lola was pulled in. She immediately went forward when she saw Gretel twitching and foaming at the mouth.

“How did this happen?”

“That should be our question. How did this happen?” Mark asked.

Lola immediately went over to treat Gretel.

She took out a syringe and injected it into her.

Soon after the shot was injected, Gretel’s twitching slowly calmed down.

Seeing that Gretel was fine now, Lyla got up and looked at Lola. “What’s going on? How did that happen?”

Lola looked at Gretel and said, “There must have been a rejection!”

“Rejection? What should we do? Will there be any accidents?” Lyla asked.

“I’ve already given her the counteractor. Hopefully, she’ll be fine!” Lola said.

They looked at Lola. Now, they had no other choice but to trust her.

Even after midnight, none of them left. They all stayed there.

As time passed, their eyes stayed on Gretel’s body, hoping that a miracle would happen and she would wake up.

However, even when dawn broke, there was not the slightest reaction from Gretel.

Until the morning.

They were all exhausted. Even if they waited, their brains were sluggish.

Hansel was so tired he fell asleep by the bedside, and everyone else was resting as well.

At that moment, Gretel’s eyes slowly opened. The first thing she saw was the ceiling, then she saw the person lying next to her.

“Mummy!”

Lyla did not wake up, but her entire person was exhausted after waiting. She did not even notice that Gretel was awake.

Hearing her voice, Lyla felt like her soul returned to her body.

“Gretel? Y-You’re awake?”

“Mummy…” Gretel repeated.

Lyla’s voice jolted everyone else awake. They looked at Lyla and then at Gretel.

“Gretel, you’re awake?” Mark also asked from the side. Everyone gathered together.

When Lola saw this, she immediately came forward to check Gretel over. After a moment, she opened her mouth. “She’s fine now!”

Upon hearing that sentence, they felt as if they were being blessed by the god of luck. The entire world lit up.

Lyla was moved to tears. “Gretel, Gretel. You’re okay now! You’re okay now!”

Gretel looked at them. She did not know what happened at all. She only felt like she had slept for a very long time and woke up to see all of them.

She did not know how many things happened and how much time had passed.

“Mummy, I want to drink water!”

“Water, okay. I’ll pour it for you right away!” Lyla was about to leave. She was so emotional that it could not be described with words, her movements flustered.

“Wait!” Lola opened her mouth and called out to Lyla.

“What’s wrong?” Lyla turned back to ask her.

“She can’t eat anything yet, including water!” Lola said seriously.

“Why?” Lyla asked with a frown.

“The medicine hasn’t fully circulated in her body and hasn’t fully dissolved the drugs. If she drinks water now, it’ll be absorbed and the effect of the medicine would be affected. Not even I know what after-effects will be left!” Lola said.

Lyla nodded at that. “But she…”

“So many things have happened leading up to this point. Do you really want to lose her?” Lola asked rhetorically.

At that, Lyla understood and she nodded. “Alright!”

“She can eat after today!”

Lyla glanced at Gretel. Lola was right. They had gone through so much to reach this point. Now, as long as they endured it, everything would be fine.

She leaned over and looked at Gretel. “Gretel, be strong. After today, Mummy will make whatever you want to eat!”

After saying these words, Lyla felt that something was off. That was because she did not know how to make anything.

“Yes, no matter what you want to eat, I’ll cook it for you!” Hansel said from the side.

Lyla looked up at Hansel and nodded. “Yep!”

Gretel did not know why, but she felt like she was floating. “Hansel, I want to eat fish and shrimp…”

“Okay, I’ll make all that for you tomorrow!”

“Okay!”

Seeing them converse, showed that Gretel was mostly fine now. The large stone in their hearts was finally put down.

That kind of happiness made them want to scream and shout.

Lola watched from the side and breathed a sigh of relief. This matter had finally come to an end.

Without disturbing their family reunion, Lola went over to Felix.

“I have something to say to you!”

Felix was unable to participate in their world. He looked at Lola and nodded, and they went out.
