Chapter 282 If It’s Serious, He’ll Go Blind

After a long time, she finally spoke. “I know. I know what you mean, so don’t worry. I won’t let you worry about me again!”

Mark looked at Lyla and only let out a sigh of relief after a long time, and nodded. “Alright, eat!”

“Mmh!”

They returned to their positions and ate.

Seeing Lyla finally eating something, Mark was relieved.

……

When they went back, Shadow was still guarding Felix’s side. Although he was expressionless, they could see from his eyes that he was very worried.

Lyla walked in with a much better state and said to Shadow, “Go and have a rest. I’ll be here!”

Shadow looked up at Lyla and got up, and bowed at her. “Thank you, Ms. Lowe!”

“No need to be polite with me. This is something I should do!”

Shadow nodded and was just about to leave when he thought about something. He turned and looked at Lyla. “Ms. Lowe…”

Lyla looked at him. “What’s wrong?”

Shadow returned to his senses and thought for a moment before saying, “Boss came here this time for you. Ms. Lowe, you should understand the boss’s feelings, and since something like this happened…”

“I know what you want to say!” Lyla looked at him. “We can talk about that later. Now, the top priority is for him to get better!”

Shadow nodded. “I’ve already notified the boss’s doctor. They’ll arrive soon!”

Hearing this, Lyla nodded.

Shadow walked out.

Inside the ward, Lyla looked at Felix and felt her heart sink again.

‘Felix, you have to wake up!

‘You have to!’

……

Shadow walked in with Mark.

Looking at the person inside, Shadow’s fists suddenly tightened until veins protruded out.

He wanted nothing more than to rush up and kill that person immediately, but before he could, Mark said, “Don’t be impulsive!”

Only then did Shadow hold back.

The young man only raised his eyes to look at Mark and Shadow, and a cold smile hooked up the corners of his mouth. Then he lowered his head as if he did not see them.

At that time, they walked in. Mark looked at that person. “How is it? Are you mentally prepared?”

The person remained silent.

At that moment, Mark looked at him and then sneered.

Turning around, he looked at Shadow. “I’ll leave this person to you. I’m leaving now!”

“Thank you!”

Mark did not say anything and turned to leave.

Shadow remained inside and looked at the person. His eyes narrowed and a cold smile curled on his lips…

……

Mark waited outside and turned around to look at Shadow when he came out. “How did it go?”

Shadow looked at the gun in his hand and put it away. “I owe you for this!”

“No, we’re even!”

Shadow paused and did not say anything else. In that case, that was better.

They went back.

Another day passed, but Felix did not show the slightest sign of waking up.

Lyla’s mood was getting heavier and heavier.

At this moment, the doctor routinely came to check, but he shook his head after the examination.

Lyla looked at him. “Doctor, how is he?”

“Not very optimistic. 48 hours have passed, so the possibility of him waking up is tiny!” The doctor announced with regret.

Lyla shook her head. “No, that can't be. There must be a way, right?” Lyla asked the doctor.

The doctor looked at her and shook his head helplessly. “Be mentally prepared!” Then, leaving that sentence, the doctor turned and walked away.

Lyla did not believe it.

She did not.

Looking at the person lying on the bed, tears welled and then fell. Her fists on both sides of her body balled up!

Suddenly, she rushed up and grabbed the person lying on the bed.

“Felix, wake up. Wake up! Do you think it’s okay for you to lie down like this? Wake up now!

“I’m telling you, if you don’t wake up, I won't forgive you. I’ll never forgive you!” She grabbed Felix’s body and shook him hard, wanting nothing more than to shake him awake.

“Felix, wake up. Wake up…” Lyla cried powerlessly.

Looking at Lyla’s frantic expression, Shadow and Mark immediately rushed up and stopped her.

“Lyla, don’t be like this!”

“Why? Why did this happen?!” Lyla cried out helplessly.

Shadow stood by the side, his jaw tense. He suppressed all his emotions.

Just as they were in despair, at that moment, Felix’s hand suddenly twitched.

They did not notice.

Lyla threw herself into Mark’s arms and cried, and Shadow looked to the side. No one saw that scene.

In the room, it was silent apart from Lyla’s muffled cries.

“Cough…”

Suddenly, Felix coughed.

They all froze and caught that. They looked at Felix together.

At that moment, his brows wrinkled, as if he was about to wake up.

Lyla and Mark looked at each other and then at Felix.

His eyelashes trembled for a moment, and he slowly opened his eyes.

Looking at this scene, Lyla immediately rushed over. “Felix, Felix, are you awake?”
