Chapter 293 Madness And Excitement

Lyla continued to wait while she laid in bed. She did not even know when she fell asleep.

At night, in a daze, she suddenly felt a pair of arms hugging her from behind. She was surprised and immediately got up. “Who is it?”

“Shhh, it's me!” A deep voice said hoarsely.

Lyla was stunned.

Was she dreaming? Or was she hallucinating?

“Ma-Mark?” Lyla asked in disbelief.

The light was not turned on in the room. Mark was just behind her, hugging her as his head rubbed against her ear. “It's me!”

After a long time, Lyla got back to her senses. She was now very sure that she was not dreaming or hallucinating because she could actually feel him there.

His temperature, his taste, his domineering actions, and his unique strength and gentleness...

Lyla turned around, feeling moved and worried. “You, do you know how many times I’ve called you today? I thought something happened to you!” Lyla scolded. However, since he appeared here, everything could be explained. He was on the plane, so she could not get through to him!

“Sorry!” Mark said in a low voice, “I can only call you every day and see you through video call, so this is torture to me. I didn’t tell you because I was afraid that you’d stop me. I can't control myself, so I just came here!”

Upon hearing what he said, Lyla smiled as her tears fell.

Yes, she would have stopped him.

However, she also wanted to see him.

At that moment, only Mark could give such a moving and exciting feeling in Lyla’s heart.

“But, tomorrow is your mother’s death anniversary. You…”

“I got the 6:00 AM ticket, so there’s still time!” Mark said.

Lyla’s heart could not help but skip a beat.

He had to be on a flight for over ten hours just to meet her.

How could she bear such love from him?

“You came here even though it’s such a rush?”

“I couldn’t control myself any longer!” Mark tried to, but he had failed.

Lyla did not know what to say, and the two of them just looked at each other. Although they did not turn on the lights, they could still see each other. It was as if their souls were interweaving. Mark reached out and touched her hair with compassion. At this moment, he could finally meet the real her. He then kissed her on the lips.

It was so strong and heavy as if it was carrying the strength of his whole body.

Lyla also cooperated with him. At night, in the room, love filled the air.

…...

After an hour, the two cuddled each other. Mark still had to go back, so they were reluctant to fall asleep.

“How did you know that I was here?” Lyla asked with flushed cheeks.

She remembered not telling him which hotel or room she lived in.

At this time, Mark raised her hand, and Lyla understood at once. “So, dear Hansel was also lying to me?” Lyla asked.

Mark smiled and did not say so much, but Lyla knew exactly what it meant.

She wanted to blame him, but her heart was still moved.

“Then how did you come into the room?”

“I said that I’m your husband, so I could come in!”

“But the people outside the room…”

“They’ve already fallen asleep!”

Lyla, “...”

Anyway, in Lyla’s eyes, Mark seemed to be the kind of person who could do anything. He would always grab hold of any opportunities.

“Why does Felix seem to imprison you here?”

“How is this imprisonment? He’s just trying to protect me. He’s afraid that those people will come to me and cause trouble, so he got someone to protect me!”

Upon hearing this, Mark sneered. “Just those weaklings? If they were useful, then I won't be able to get in!”

However, Mark’s words had created a notion in Lyla’s heart.

Did Felix really mean this?

“You got skinnier!” Mark said as he touched her.

Lyla came back to her senses, understood what he meant, and said, “What? You dislike it?”

“No! I feel bad for you!”

Lyla smiled from the corners of her lips.

“When are you going back?” Mark asked.

The moment he spoke about this, Lyla’s smile broke a little, and she sighed. “I don’t know. Felix’s surgery can only be done once the blood clot in his brain disappears! Even if that happens, the success rate of the surgery is still only seventy percent!”

Mark pressed his lips together and did not ask so much when she said this. He did not want Lyla to feel bad.

“Okay, I understand!” Mark said.

Lyla looked at him. “You’re not angry?”

“I am!” Mark said, “I’m also getting jealous! But I can’t help it, I just can’t leave you! I can only agree with you!”

Why did his every word make Lyla feel as if her life was already worth it?

Maybe it was because of the importance of her life, existence, and presence to him.

At that moment, Lyla reached out and hugged Mark. “I promise you, I’ll be by your side when this is done. I’ll never leave you again!”

In the early morning, Mark was reluctant to leave.

He would kiss Lyla now and then. If it was not because he still had things to do when he went back, he would have continued to stay in bed with her.

However, he could not at that moment.

“Okay, you need to go now. You'll miss the flight if you don’t go now!” Lyla looked at him and said.

“I want to just pack you up and bring you along!”

Lyla, “... Alright, be good, you won’t be able to rush back if you don’t go!” Lyla did not want Mark to miss his mother’s death anniversary because of her. She would feel bad about it.
