Chapter 308 Only Her Disappearance Can End This

Felix’s eyes narrowed. “Are you trying to provoke me?”

“I'm just telling the truth!” Hansel said word by word, “Mommy doesn't like this. What she wants is someone who can respect and trust her! She doesn’t want someone that would keep her locked up here!”

“Shut up!” Felix shouted with a scary expression on his face. “Don’t think I won’t do anything to you just because you’re Lyla’s son! I won’t kill you, but I’ll never let you see her again!”

Felix was now slightly out of his mind. He was dazzled by love and desperation.

Hansel looked at him. He was not angry. Instead, he felt sympathetic and pitied Felix.

“Felix, don't be so persistent!” Hansel said, “I promise you, if you’re willing to let go, then we’ll still be able to get back on the same terms as before!”

Upon hearing this, Felix smiled and laughed loudly. “You’re so naive. Do you think that I’m as naive as you?”

“Felix…”

“Stop calling me. Now, you can only have one choice. It’s either you follow your daddy or me!” Felix looked at Hansel and stated. His eyes were focused on Hansel when he asked this.

Hansel could tell that Felix still cared about him.

Even if there was no hope left, Felix still wished for a miracle to happen.

Hansel looked at Felix. How could he not know Felix’s actual thought? Hansel pressed his lips together and kept silent.

Silence was sometimes also an answer, it was just not as hurtful as words.

Felix nodded. “Ok, I understand!” Felix said as he smiled. “In this case, don’t blame me for being rude!”

The moment he finished speaking, the people behind him picked up their guns and aimed at Mark and Hansel.

Felix did not say anything else and just turned away.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The gunshots sounded.

…...

Lyla woke up from her sleep.

She was drenched in sweat as she sat up. She then looked at the surroundings in fear, not sure whether this was reality or her dreams.

However, this was a very distinct feeling.

She looked toward the outside. The sky was already getting brighter.

Lyla then got down from the bed and headed outside. At that moment, the door was pushed open, and Lisa walked in. “Ms. Lowe, what is it?”

“Is something happening?” Lyla asked.

Lisa had an uneasy expression, but she still smiled and said, “Nope!”

Lyla took a glance at her, not really believing what she just said. “I’ll go out and take a look!”

Lisa quickly stopped her. “Ms. Lowe, no!”

Lisa had overreacted, so she then said in a panic, “It's still a little dark and cold outside. If you go out like this, you’ll get sick!”

Lyla was not a fool. How could she not tell that Lisa was hiding something?

Lyla could read others very accurately if she was more prepared.

“Then can I go out after I wear some clothes?”

“This… It's still dark outside, so you should sleep for a little more, Ms. Lowe!” Lisa said.

The more Lisa prevented Lyla from going out, the more Lyla wanted to go out. Something must be happening outside, and it was something that Lisa would not let her know.

Lyla looked at Lisa with sharp eyes. “Get out of the way!”

“Ms. Lowe…” Lisa looked at her, feeling wronged, but she still did not want to move away.

“Didn’t you say that I can go anywhere? So why are you blocking my way now?” Lyla looked at her and asked.

Lisa did not know what to say. More precisely, she was not good at lying. Facing Lyla, Lisa felt that no matter what she said, it could be seen through by Lyla.

Lyla stopped speaking and just walked around Lisa to go out.

“Ms. Lowe, Ms. Lowe…” Lisa blocked her.

Then, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Shadow appeared at the door.

Lisa had an uneasy expression when she looked back and saw Shadow. “I…”

Shadow looked at Lisa expressionlessly. “You can leave first!”

Lisa nodded and quickly went out.

Lyla looked at Shadow. “What’s happening outside?”

Shadow pressed his lips together, not knowing what to say.

“I want to go out and take a look!”

“I can’t let you go out!” said Shadow.

“Why?” Lyla frowned as she looked at him. “What are you guys trying to hide from me?”

Shadow frowned, his determined expression looked a little hesitant. After thinking for a long time, he said, “He's here! He's outside now!”

Lyla was taken aback.

She looked at him with doubt. “Are you serious?”

Shadow nodded.

Lyla then walked outside without saying another word.

“If you go out like this, everyone here will die!”

Lyla’s footsteps stopped abruptly.

She looked back at Shadow with struggle and pain in her eyes.

Shadow turned around and looked at her. “The boss isn’t the way he once was. It’s as if he has become a different person because of you!”

Lyla did not say a word. She did not know what she could say regarding this matter.

“Now, only you can turn him back to the way he was before!” Shadow said as he slowly passed Lyla his gun.

Lyla looked at it and frowned.

“You just have to aim the gun at me, and you’ll be able to go out!”

“But…”

“There’s not much time now! There are people everywhere outside now. If this goes on for any longer, it’ll be too late!”

Lyla clenched her fists tightly. Did she have any other choice now?

Lyla looked at Shadow and said sincerely, “Thank you!” She then walked forward, took the gun, and aimed at Shadow’s head.
