Chapter 309 I Miss Mommy So Much

Lyla stood on the deck. She looked at Felix and then looked at the people on the boat not far away.

Hansel, Mark…

Lyla’s eyes were filled with reluctance.

However, she knew that only her disappearing could end all of this…

Lyla looked at Felix. “Felix, I’ve never hated you or blamed you. However, if everything can start over again, I hope you won’t meet me, then you won’t be in such pain…”

Felix could not bear to continue listening. He was going crazy. “I’ll promise whatever you want, so just come back down…”

Lyla smiled as she looked at Felix. She then looked at the people rushing towards her. Lyla then held the gun and aimed it at her heart. Her empty expression made Felix feel like he was losing all of his emotions.

“No —”

Bang!

Lyla’s body twitched for a moment. Felix immediately rushed forward at the moment. However, Lyla just spread her arms and fell into the sea.

“Lyla —” Felix did not manage to catch her and just watched as she fell into the sea. The wind blew and messed up his hair. His face was flushed, and his veins around his face also appeared. It was as if all of his energy had been extracted.

Mark was running towards her, but he was also taken aback when he saw this scene.

It was as if his legs were filled with lead, making him hard to move, while his heart felt empty and he could not breathe…

Mark then quickly ran forward. He seemed to believe that there was still hope, and that scene was just an illusion or hallucination.

“Mommy…” Hansel shouted. However, it was already too late. Lyla had already vanished before their eyes.

Mark ran to the deck and looked down towards the raging sea. He then jumped down without any hesitation.

“Daddy —”

Hansel ran forward. He wanted to stop Mark, but he could not.

“Daddy, mommy!” Hansel shouted.

Felix sat at the edge of the deck like a puppet without any trace of life.

Hansel looked down toward the sea. He hoped that a miracle would happen. He hoped that Daddy could find Mommy, and they would appear above the water together. However, time passed, and there was still no trace of them.

“Daddy, daddy!” Hansel shouted. He was afraid that Mark would be like Lyla and desired death. He was so terrified that he did not care about anything else. His heart was filled with fear.

“Daddy —” However, no matter how much Hansel shouted, there was still no trace of Mark.

Piers and some others had also gone into the sea to search.

After searching for some time, someone spoke, “Could he be on that side?”

Hansel followed that person’s gaze. Hansel then saw a person lying on the ground as the waves hit him now and then.

Upon seeing that, Hansel was sure that it was Mark.

He then rushed over there without saying anything else.

Mark laid on the ground, and his whole body was drenched. He looked at the sky with empty, desperate eyes. Mark made everyone feel unspeakably distressed for him.

“Daddy —”

Upon seeing Mark, Hansel’s tears fell as he squatted down beside him.

“I couldn’t find her, I couldn’t…” Mark said softly.

“Mommy will be fine!” Hansel said. Who knew whether he was comforting Mark or comforting himself?

This news was a huge, unacceptable blow to them.

At that moment, Mark’s eyelashes suddenly moved. Within the next second, Mark got up and rushed directly towards Felix.

“Daddy —” Hansel watched Mark’s back as Hansel also followed behind him.

On the deck, Mark grabbed Felix. “Why? Why didn't you grab her?” Mark looked at him desperately and asked.

Felix did not show any trace of life and let Mark continue grabbing hold of him.

At that moment, Felix wished that Mark could just kill him. That way, his heart would feel better.

Upon seeing that Felix was not speaking, Mark held his gun and aimed at Felix’s head.

“I’ll kill you!”

“Daddy —”

Hansel went forward to stop him. “No!”

Mark’s eyes were red and he looked unbelievably scary. “I want to avenge your mommy!”

“Mommy didn't want the both of you to be like this. That’s why she committed suicide. Do you want mommy's aim to become useless?” Hansel yelled and asked.

Mark was stunned. He could not care less about other things, but only Lyla was someone that he cared about.

Lyla’s name was like a chain that was binding him. He could not break free from it at all.

Mark then slowly lowered his gun that was aiming at Felix.

Mark said, “Are you satisfied with this ending now?”

“Felix, I won't kill you. I want you to forever live with guilt!” Mark looked at him and said.

After speaking, he turned away and left.

Hansel watched as Felix sat down on the ground, still devoid of any emotions.

After Lingo’s gang came, many people went into the water to search for Lyla. However, the four-hour search ended with no results at all.

Upon seeing that Mark was sitting by the shore, Hansel walked over.

“How is it? Has she been found?” Mark asked.

Hansel shook his head.

Mark buried his head in his hands.

He was previously such a high-spirited person, but he suddenly became this dispirited that it made people feel concerned about him.
