Chapter 321 The Same Thing

No matter how confident Lyla was, she was still just a woman.

Whether it was her personality or work, she hoped to gradually improve them.

After some time, Lyla heard Amanda’s voice. “Lyla, let’s eat now!”

Only then did Lyla come back to her senses. She turned around, looked at Amanda, and smiled. “I’m coming!”

Meanwhile, on the dining table.

Upon seeing the food Amanda made, Lyla was a little surprised. “Who knew that you can also cook?”

Amanda smiled. “Just a little. Have a taste!”

“I can tell that it’ll taste good just from the look of it!” Lyla ate as she finished speaking. She then thought about Hansel and said, “My son also knows how to cook. His cooking is delicious!”

“Is he the one from the photo?” Amanda asked.

Lyla nodded.

Amanda suddenly thought about something and said, “By the way, even if that man has another woman now, you can still go find your children right? They’ll definitely be happy if they know that you’re still alive!”

“I’ve tried contacting them before, but I couldn't get through to them!” Lyla said.

“Why?”

“Maybe they’re not within the country now!” Lyla said. She knew that Hansel and Gretel would be fine as long as Lingo and Piers were with them. If they were not within the country at that moment, then this meant that they had gone with Lingo and Piers.

After all, Lyla had been missing for so long.

Amanda did not know much about the situation with Lyla’s family, so she did not dare to say much about it. She then said, “Eat more and take a rest after this. We’ve worked hard for the whole day!”

Lyla smiled, did not say a word, and just nodded.

Amanda was like a happy little bird spreading her happiness to Lyla, so Lyla could not help but feel relaxed.

After the meal, each of them went to rest.

Meanwhile, in the room.

Lyla laid on the bed. She was back.

She was finally back.

She felt that her true emotions were finally back as she laid there.

However, Lyla was still unsure of how she should continue on the road ahead.

Lyla laid on the bed, tossing and turning, but she still could not fall asleep. Her head was filled with thoughts, but even she did not know what she was thinking about.

At this moment, her phone rang.

Looking at her phone by her bedside, Lyla picked it up, looked at the number, and pressed the answer button.

“Hello…”

“It’s me!” Kyle’s voice sounded from the phone.

“Oh, what’s the matter?”

“Have you reached? How is it? Are you alright?”

“Yeah, I’m here!”

“Then, have you gone home?”

Lyla became silent.

“Why aren’t you talking?”

“Oh, it’s nothing. I’m just a little sleepy after working for the whole day!”

“In that case, you should take a rest earlier!”

“Mmhm!”

“Good night!”

“Good night!”

After hanging up the phone, Lyla looked at her phone and sighed.

In the meantime, in another room.

Amanda was asleep when her phone suddenly rang. She picked it up impatiently. “Who is this? It’s already midnight, and you’re not even letting me sleep?”

She only opened her eyes after a moment. “Kyle?”

“Oh, about that…” Amanda told Kyle about the matter bit by bit.

……

The next day.

Early in the morning.

When Amanda walked out of her room, Lyla was already awake.

“Morning, Lyla!”

“Morning! I’ve bought some breakfast, so come over and eat!” Lyla said with a smile.

Amanda nodded, walked over, and sat down to have breakfast.

“Lyla, do you have any plans?” Amanda asked.

Lyla thought about it for a moment and said, “Of course!”

“What?”

Lyla looked at Amanda. “You wanted to learn about design right?”

“Yeah, but…”

“You should go apply for a job at M.K. Corporation. It’s the best place for you to learn!”

“But, can I do it?”

“Trust me, you definitely can do it with your ability!”

Amanda pouted and nodded. “Alright then!”

“But there’s something that you must promise me!”

“What is it?”

“You can’t tell them that you know me!”

“Why? Could it be that you’re not planning to go back?’

“You just need to promise me!”

“What if I can’t help but hit that man?” Amanda asked.

Lyla looked at her. “Then you'll be thrown out of the company!”

Amanda, “...”

“Just listen to me and work hard. You just have to do whatever you need to do, and it’ll be fine!” Lyla said.

Amanda finally nodded. “Alright then, but what about you?”

“I have my own plans!”

Amanda nodded. “I understand!”

After having breakfast, they started to get busy.

Everything was settled by the end of the day.

“Alright, you just have to go there tomorrow. It’ll definitely be fine!”

Amanda nodded. “Thank you, Lyla!”

“I said that I’ll teach you, so it’s natural that I’ll do it!” Lyla said with a smile.

At that moment, Amanda felt that she was fortunate. However, what she did not know was that everything in this world was connected. Everything happened because they had saved Lyla. It was also because of Lyla’s help to Amanda that everything would be better.
