Chapter 340 The Twins Almost Went On A Rampage

Lyla and Mark did not say anything since they walked out of the hospital.

Upon seeing that Mark had a stiff expression, Lyla knew that he was thinking about something.

After all, they were also responsible for Delilah becoming like that.

Although it was something that they did unintentionally, it still caused harm to Delilah.

Not only that, but Lyla was also sure that Delilah had feelings for Mark.

However, from the looks of it, Mark did not know about Delilah’s feelings.

“Don’t worry, nothing will happen to Ms. Collins!” Lyla comforted him.

“I never knew that her situation was this bad! This isn’t the first time she’s been hospitalized!” Mark said.

“The reason I wanted to get engaged to Deliah previously was to show others that she’s a decent person. It’s also why I wanted to help her,” Mark said.

Upon hearing his words, Lyla knew that Mark was explaining to her about the situation. This also meant that he must help Delilah.

Lyla looked at him and frowned. “Just do whatever you want to do. Don’t worry, I won’t be silly and petty again!”

Mark glanced towards her, reached out his arms, and hugged her.

Lyla just fell into his arms.

“Mark…”

“Mmhm?”

Lyla thought about it for a moment, but she did not continue. “Nothing...”

“If you have anything that you mind…”

“I don’t mind!” Lyla said immediately, “If you don’t help Ms. Collins, I might think that you’re ruthless and unjust. Therefore, I really don’t mind it!”

Upon hearing her words, Mark smiled in relief. He stretched his arms and hugged her even tighter.

……

The next day.

Mark was still sleeping when his phone suddenly rang. He picked up the phone and answered it.

“Hello…”

“What?” His originally sleepy eyes became wide open in an instant.

Mark’s voice seemed to be unusual, so Lyla could tell that something was wrong. She then opened her eyes and looked at him.

“Alright, I understand!”

After Mark hung up the phone, Lyla looked at him. “What is it? Did something happen?”

Mark turned over towards Lyla. “The president of the O. Corporation is dead!”

“Dead?” Lyla’s sleepiness also immediately disappeared.

Mark nodded.

“He was just fine, so how did he die?”

“I don’t know. They said Zack Parker had a heart attack!”

“Heart attack? How can there be such a coincidence?” Lyla asked.

“I don’t know, but I better go over to take a look!”

Lyla nodded. “Okay!”

Thus, Mark got out of bed right away and left.

Lyla laid in bed. She also thought that things could not be such a coincidence. However, she still could not get how this happened even after thinking about it.

After lying for a while, she decided to go to work.

It was not her previous company, but M.K.

It was natural that she should go back to work.

She should go back to her original life since she knew it was a misunderstanding.

Of course.

The moment she went back, everyone was surprised.

They had heard that Lyla was back, but they were still suspicious about it. Therefore, seeing Lyla standing right in front of them at that moment still made them a little scared.

How could someone come back from the dead?

At this moment, Lily walked over. She looked at Lyla and spoke with a smile, “You’re finally back?”

Lyla smiled. “Of course, I want to come back! How can I be willing to leave you all?”

Someone finally dared to step forward when they saw Lily chatting with Lyla by the side. “Lyla, you’re back!”

“Yeah!”

“I’ve heard about your matters previously, who knew that it was true! But it’s good that you’re back!”

“Yeah!”

Everyone smiled as they continued asking. Lyla also smiled.

After everyone showed their concern toward Lyla, they finally got back to work.

Everyone else was working while Lyla just sat there in a daze. She did not know what the situation was at that moment.

She just thought that this incident was too much of a coincidence.

He was just fine, so how could he just die?

Mark still had not called her yet.

At this moment, the police walked in.

“May I know who’s Lyla Lowe?”

Lyla stood up immediately. “I am!”

“About Zack Parker’s case, we need you to come with us to assist our investigation!” the police said.

Lyla frowned. “Who’s Zack Parker?”

“The president of O. Corporation. Please follow us back!”

Everyone could tell that something was wrong when they saw this scene. All their eyes were on Lyla.

At this moment, Lily walked over. “Sir, what happened?”

“Excuse me, but we need Ms. Lyla Lowe to follow us back!”

“But, but you need to at least say the reason, right?” Lily said.

“Are you a witness? If you aren’t one, then please mind your own business!”

“You --”

“Alright, I’ll follow you back!” Lyla said.

“Lyla!”
