Chapter 354 An Unexpected Result

The person in front of her wore entirely black clothing, a black hat, and a mask.

Lyla frowned. “Who are you?”

Upon seeing Lyla, she walked over step by step. “You don’t need to know who I am. However, b*itches like you should just die!”

Once Lyla heard her voice, she frowned.

The voice was familiar. It was as if she had heard it somewhere before.

Lyla then observed her figure and noticed that she was indeed a woman. She then started to search through her memories.

“Lyla Lowe, you shouldn’t have survived and come back!” That person looked at her said, word by word. Only her fierce eyes were exposed.

Lyla looked at her. There was still some light makeup on her beautiful eyes and her eyelashes also looked distinct. However, her eyes were filled with hatred. Lyla frowned and a thought suddenly appeared in her mind. “You’re Delilah’s secretary?” Her tone was not filled with doubt at all. The moment she spoke, she already knew.

Ms. Davis was taken aback. She did not expect that Lyla would have guessed correctly and sneered. “Who would have guessed that you could tell that it’s me?” Ms. Davis said as she took off her mask, revealing her little face that was the size of a palm.

Although her face was beautiful, she looked extremely fierce.

‘It really was her.’

Lyla had chills in her heart. They had analyzed various possibilities, yet the only person they forgot was Ms. Davis. More precisely, they had not even thought about her.

At this moment, Lyla suddenly remembered that when Delilah was hospitalized, she made an excuse to leave. Then, Zack Parker died.

Lyla looked at Ms. Davis. “Why is it you?”

“Who did you think it was?” Ms. Davis smiled and asked coldly.

Lyla looked at her. “You’re the one who killed Zack Parker?”

Upon hearing this, Ms. Davis showed a cold smile and her face soon turned gloomy. “You’re talking about that bastard? He deserved it!”

Therefore, it was her?

She was admitting it?

“It’s really you?!” Lyla was in disbelief.

“So what if it was me?” Ms. Davis asked as she raised an eyebrow. It was as if she was talking about something ordinary.

What if?

Lyla could not understand her words. How could she take lives so lightly?

“Do you know what you’re talking about?!”

“Of course, I know what I’m talking about! I’m very clear about it!” Ms. Davis said as she thought about Zack Parker. “That damn man, he immediately became lustful when he saw Delilah! Who knows how many people he’s harmed? He deserved to die!”

Upon hearing her words, Lyla thought, ‘To have such hatred, has she suffered some sort of trauma?’

“Even if he did harm a lot of people, there were still ways to stop him with the law. You shouldn’t have done that. Now that you have, you’ve also broken the law!”

“Broken the law? I’m just getting rid of harmful people and executing justice! If we used the law to judge him, can he be stopped?” Ms. Davis asked agitatedly. Her beautiful face became a little twisted.

“Do you hate people who are lustful or just people that appear around Delilah?” Lyla asked.

Ms. Davis’ eyes narrowed as she looked at Lyla fiercely when Lyla mentioned this. “I hate both, but I hate people that appear around Ms. Collins more!”

“A few years ago, someone got caught in a car accident. Was it you who did that?”

“Yes, you’re right. It was me, it was all me!” At this moment, Ms. Davis seemed to admit everything. She even looked as if she was enjoying this whole process. “Those people who appeared around Ms. Collins did not bear any good intentions. They were either going for her money or her body. I must protect her…”

Lyla narrowed her eyes. For some reason, Lyla had a weird feeling as she watched Ms. Davis.

“Then why did you frame me? I don’t have anything against you. Not only that, why are you capturing me now?” Lyla looked at her and asked, trying to gain some information from her. Lyla wanted to know what was going on.

Once Lyla said this, Ms. Davis turned her head to look at her. “If it wasn’t for you, would Ms. Collins be this sad now? It’s all because of your appearance that her happiness is ruined! Therefore, I must get rid of you, for her sake!”

Lyla frowned. “Don’t forget that I’m the victim in this matter. I’m not the third party!”

“But you were already dead, so why did you return?” Ms. Davis lowered her voice and asked desperately.

“Was it wrong for me to come back alive?”

“Yes. Anything that hinders Ms. Collins’ happiness is wrong!” Ms. Davis said fiercely.

Lyla frowned. This person’s thoughts had already gone in a bad direction. “Does Delilah know that you’re like this?”

Once she mentioned Delilah’s name, Ms. Davis would become a little gentler. Well, at least her eyes seemed to. “She does not need to know. She’s so perfect, so kind. She’s the world’s best woman… That’s why I won’t allow anyone to harm her!”

Upon hearing her description, Lyla thought that it was as if a man was describing a woman. Lyla frowned as a thought suddenly appeared in her heart. Could she be…

“Since you said that, then you should know that this is bad, wrong, and evil, right?”

“So? I never said that it wasn’t. As long as someone harms Ms. Collins, then I won’t let them go!” Ms. Davis said as she walked towards Lyla step by step. “Including you…”

Seeing that she was getting closer, Lyla felt uneasy and frowned. This woman was a little crazy, so who knew what she would do in the next second?

“But don’t worry, I won’t kill you now. I’ll wait until Mark Pattinson and Ms. Collins are married. Only then will I send you off!” Ms. Davis said word by word. However, once she finished speaking, she frowned, and a trace of sadness and pain flashed through her eyes.

Lyla did not let go of that look. If she could show such a look, it meant that she indeed cared a lot about Delilah.

In order to prove her thoughts, Lyla started speaking after some thought.
