Chapter 54 Insane Street Racing

When Ellis Morris heard the sound, he immediately rushed in. “Mr. Pattinson, what happened?!”

“Get the location tracker and check on Lyla Lowe’s location!” Mr. Pattinson sternly said.

Seeing his stern look, Ellis Morris knew just how serious the matter was. Without a word, he immediately pressed on the tracker to locate Lyla’s location.

Mark Pattinson stood by the side and waited. He felt restless with every second that passed; he just could not calm down.

“Found her!” As Ellis Morris shouted, Mark Pattinson rushed over. When he saw the address from the satellite, he picked up the car keys and rushed out without another word.

There was only one thought in his mind. ‘Lyla Lowe, you can’t have anything happen to you! I won’t allow it!’

Just the thought of something happening to Lyla Lowe made Mark Pattinson feel as if his heart was about to jump out of him.

He had never felt so terrified since young!

Lyla Lowe, please let nothing happen to you!

With this belief, Mark Pattinson revved the car to its maximum speed and rushed over.

There were a lot of people at the crossroad.

There were also a lot of police cars and an ambulance.

It was very obvious that a fight had just happened right here.

The scene was a complete disaster.

Mark Pattinson stopped his car. Without even pulling out the keys, he ran out.

His heart had already leapt to his throat. It was as if something was caught in his throat, making it hard for him to breathe. He searched for that person in the crowd.

There was no doubt about it, it was here. Lyla had picked up the phone call here. The tracker had also picked up this location.

But why could he not find her?

When he remembered that something had happened and that something bad might have happened to Lyla, he felt his heart clenching hard.

“Lyla Lowe!” He shouted, not caring about his image. All he wanted to do at this moment was to find her!

However, after he called out, nobody responded to him.

Mark Pattinson searched through the crowd anxiously.

Just then, someone from the police force walked over and stopped him. “Sir, it is dangerous here. You cannot enter!”

Mark Pattinson did not pay any heed; he just wanted to enter.

“Sir, we are searching for evidence there. You cannot enter...” The police officer blocked his way.

“Move!” Suddenly, Mark Pattinson roared furiously. The icy anger rolling off his body left everyone near him shuddering in fear.

The police officer was stunned. When he saw Mark Pattinson’s lavish attire and the arrogant air he had about him, he felt as if Mark Pattinson had been born with a noble air. With just a single glance, you could tell that he was no common folk.

The police officer knew that this person was not to be offended. Even so, the officer also did not dare neglect his duties either.

Mark Pattinson stared at him. He gave off a dreary air. If anyone dared to provoke him now, then it would be their funeral.

He was so anxious that he could kill someone.

“Move!” Mark Pattinson shouted. He was going to barge in.

“Mark...” Just then, a soft and gentle voice by his side called out to him.

Mark Pattinson turned his head. Then he saw Lyla Lowe.

When he saw that she was still alive and well and standing in front of him, Mark Pattinson felt like his heart could finally return to its place in his chest. It plummeted back to where it belonged.

Lyla looked back at Mark Pattinson too. She was a little shocked as well. Never had she imagined that he would be here. When she heard someone call out her name just now, she thought that she had heard wrongly. She did not think that it was Mark Pattinson!

But why was he here?

Just now, was he calling her?

Lyla was watching him as she stood not far in the distance.

She looked a little dishevelled. Her hair was a little messy, but it did not affect her confidence and beauty.

Without another word, Mark Pattinson ran over and looked at her.

“How are you?” Mark Pattinson frowned as he asked worriedly.

Lyla stood there watching him. She could not overlook the worry in his eyes. Her heart shuddered, then she shook her head. “I’m fine...”

“Darn it, why did you suddenly hang up?!” Mark Pattinson asked angrily. Did she know that he was so scared that his heart almost stopped beating?!

“There was a fight just now. My phone was knocked down to the ground, and it broke!” said Lyla as she opened up her hands to show him her phone. It was not shattered, but it was bad enough that it could not be used anymore.

At that point, Mark Pattinson felt that he wanted to blow off in a rage, but he had nowhere to direct his anger.

She had no idea how worried he was on the way here. It was like someone was gouging his heart out. He was so scared that something might have happened to her!

But...

But he could not put in words just how aggrieved and worried he felt!

In the end, he stared at her.

That stare made it seem as if he wanted to skin her alive!

Also, the phone was innocent.

Mark Pattinson walked over, sat in the car, immediately started up the car, and zoomed off with her.

When Mark Pattinson started speeding, he looked as if he wanted to die.

His eyes were focused forward. The car was already traveling at maximum speed. Lyla herself did not know how many cars he overtook and how many red lights he went over.
