Chapter 71 Gretel Pesters Mark Pattinson

Indeed, neither the Turner family nor the Pattinson family was able to contact Mark Pattinson.

After finishing his coffee, Mark Pattinson went back to sleep.

Gretel took out her mobile phone and gave a call to Mark Pattinson. His mobile phone remained off.

Eventually, Gretel shrugged at Hansel. “Can’t get through!”

Hansel showed no sign of worry about his father. Instead, he simply threw in a smile. “This is Daddy’s style!” With that, he was even confident that Mark Pattinson had no feeling for that woman.

Neither did he believe that Mark Pattinson had not received any news regarding the scandal until this day. The truth was, he purposely did not want to show up.

“Brother, could you please find out daddy’s current location!”

“What’s the purpose of doing so?”

“You’ll know after you find it out!” Gretel said.

Hansel felt helpless. Nonetheless, he took out his Ipad and managed to locate Mark Pattinson within a short frame of time. Gretel looked at it and smirked.

Mark Pattinson slept in and woke up naturally the next day. Now was the right time to show up.

When he came out from his apartment, he saw a familiar silhouette at a distance.

He frowned.

Could it be her?

At that moment, Gretel turned. When she saw Mark Pattinson, she smiled gently. “What a coincidence, Mister!”

Was it a genuine coincidence?

Mark Pattinson looked at her, then walked over to her. “Why are you here?”

“Uhm… I—”

“Have you lost your way again?” Before she could finish her words, Mark Pattinson continued for her.

Although the excuse was a bit absurd and since he had spoken on her behalf, Gretel pretended it was that same excuse. She smiled and nodded. “Yes!”

Mark Pattinson smiled as he squatted. “You really think that I’m a child!”

Gretel did not reply to him. She smiled looking at Mark Pattinson. That smile… Mark Pattinson narrowed his eyes. Her smile was unexpectedly the same as that woman.

“Mister, don’t you think I look like someone?” Gretel asked, looking at him. That look was painfully obvious that she was a little rotten kid but she could still bring herself to be so cute and innocent.

Mark Pattinson nodded. “Not alike, it’s exactly the same!”

“Hehe…Actually, we still have one in our house who looks exactly the same as you.” Gretel smiled as she said this.

Mark Pattinson frowned. He could not get her meaning at that instant. “What do you mean?”

“Nothing. You’ll know soon!” Gretel smiled as she said. That was all for now. She would not reveal more information to him for fear Mummy will choke her to death.

Seeing Mark Pattinson was not giving up, Gretel immediately reached out her hand. “Mister, please carry me!”

Mark Pattinson was speechless.

Gazing at her cute face, she looked especially similar to that woman. He could not find any better excuses to reject her, so he reached out and carried her.

“Where are you going?” Mark Pattinson asked.

“I’ll follow you wherever you may go!”

“Your family doesn’t care about you?”

“I sneaked out!”

Mark Pattinson went speechless.

He went speechless. He carried her to the car.

Mark Pattinson looked at her. “Your family will worry sick about you, aren’t you aware of that?”

“Yes!”

“Since you’re aware of that, why do you still sneak out then?!” Mark Pattinson stared at her and asked, he acted as if he was giving her a piece of his mind.

Gretel fell silent. Seeing Mark Pattinson reprimanding her, instead of feeling upset, she felt happy as a lark.

Mark Pattinson frowned. “Why do you look so happy?”

“Gretel has no daddy. Seeing you teach me a lesson, I feel like I have a daddy now, Mister…” Gretel smiled as she spoke.

Mark Pattinson felt distressed when he heard that.

Ironically, when Kathleen Turner was pregnant, he did not feel anything. But now, he felt tenderly for this girl who was only a stranger to him.

Mark Pattinson smirked to himself. “I’m getting more humane!”

He softened his look. “I’ll send you home. Today I’m a little busy, so I can’t play with you!”

“Mister, what are you busy with?”

“I need to settle some issues!”

“Oh!” Gretel replied to him. Then she put down her bag and pulled out a magazine. “Mister, is this person that madam?”

Mark Pattinson was driving and he simply peeped on her magazine. Today, the magazine cover was all about Kathleen Turner’s scandalous photos.

The next moment, his car screeched to a halt. He looked at the magazine in her hand. Then, he took it from her and threw it behind the seat.

Gretel was stunned. “Mister…”

“You’re still young. It’s not meant for your eyes!” With that, he continued to drive.

Gretel was speechless.

Nevertheless, she felt happy. This was because Mark Pattinson cared for her. Her lips curved into a smile.

She was used to being spoiled by Felix Smith since young. All the while, Felix Smith was the only one who pampered her. As such, she felt different when Mark Pattinson treated her similarly too.

He was her daddy. So, he would naturally be giving her a piece of his mind and also, worrying about her.

The feeling was indescribable.

“I just want to comfort you!” Gretel looked at Mark Pattinson when she said that. Despite deep down inside herself, she was bursting with excitement, she pretended to look calm.

“No need. I’m fine!” Mark Pattinson said.

“Then, will you still stay with that madam?” Gretel asked.

When Gretel mentioned her, Mark Pattinson was speechless. He knew himself well that he did not love Kathleen Turner. Nonetheless, he must continue his acting in order to grab the upcoming opportunities.
