Chapter 82 Suddenly Became a Dad

Although Hansel was young, he had an indescribable aura with him standing there. He raised his eyes and looked at Mark Pattinson. His gaze was filled with tenacity and steadfastness.

Hansel was unsure how Mark Pattinson would react.

Hansel remembered him saying that he did not like kids.

So, there was no need for him to show that he really needed Mark Pattinson.

However, Mark Pattinson did something that surprised him.

He gazed at Hansel and said, “Are you Lyla's son?”

“Yes!” Hansel nodded with his expressionless face, making it hard to see what he was thinking.

For some reason, Mark Pattinson always felt as if he had seen himself as a kid when he gazed over Hansel. Mark Pattinson could feel for him from his tenacious gaze.

“She will be fine!” Mark Pattinson said.

Hansel was surprised, but he did not expect him to comfort him at all.

Although he did not wish to rely on him, Hansel's heart gradually became calmer with his presence.

He knew Mark Pattinson would not look on with folded arms no matter what happened. So, he gradually became less worried.

He nodded, “Alright!”

While he gazed at the door of the operating room, Hansel sighed, ‘Mummy, you must put in an all-out effort!’

‘You must!’

When he saw Hansel's expression, Mark Pattinson could not look away for a long time. If it was just coincidence, they would not be so alike until this stage.

However, he did not remember having an affair with Lyla. ‘How could he have such a son at this age?!’

This doubt upset him. Although he had always been calm and wise, his feelings were unspeakable at the moment. He wanted to resolve the mystery he wanted to know so desperately. If he did not get it clear, he would become more fretful.

“Is she your biological mother?” Mark Pattinson asked.

Hansel, “…”

He could not help but look at Mark Pattinson. Hansel could not help but complain in his heart. ‘Could there be fakes?’

“Yes!” Hansel nodded.

Mark Pattinson furrowed his brows deeper, "Then who...is your Daddy?" he asked.

Hansel almost blurted out, ‘It was you.’

But he stopped when he was about to say that.

“For this question, you have to ask my mommy!”

Mark Pattinson frowned and looked at him puzzledly, “What do you mean?”

“I was raised solely by my mummy. Whoever my mummy said should be my daddy will be my daddy!”

Mark Pattinson, “…”

So, he subconsciously said to himself, ‘In the past few years, Lyla had been taking care of him?’

‘She did not have other men?’

Although Hansel did not say it clearly, the hint given to him was making him euphoric.

It seemed that he had confirmed that the person in front of him was his child.

As for the matter of how he had a child with Lyla, he would discuss with Lyla later.

Whenever he looked at Hansel, there was an indescribable excitement in his heart.

Even if there was no proof saying that he was his son, he was sure about that.

It was a feeling that could not be described in words. As he gazed at Hansel, he did not feel any revulsion, but an indescribable feeling.

“What's your name?” Mark Pattinson asked. He did not even notice that his voice was trembling. As he gazed over Hansel, he felt an indescribable cautiousness.

“Hansel!” Hansel replied.

‘Hansel?’

‘Why did that name give him such a strong sense of familiarity?’

He was probably dazzled by what was happening in front of him. He did not relate anything to Gretel at all. He just glanced at Hansel and wanted to reach out to pat him. But as his hand was halfway through to touch her, he found that he could not make the final contact no matter what...

Hansel was also looking at his hand, as if he knew his intentions. A little excitement arose in his heart.

‘He is not rejecting him?’

He could tell that Mark Pattinson was not rejecting him.

No matter how strong Hansel's character was, he was just a kid and craved to have fatherly love.

Besides, he liked Mark Pattinson very much, though he was not sure whether Mark Pattinson liked him or not.

Hansel stood there without moving. He just looked at Mark Pattinson calmly. In fact, he was thrilled to bits from his heart.

Mark Pattinson did not know what he really wanted to do. He, who always hated children, had a different feeling towards Hansel. When a child suddenly appeared, he should have been very angry, which was in accordance to his character. How he wished he could pull Lyla out of the emergency room and asked her what was going on. But for now, it could not be done.

He did not reject Hansel’s existence at all.

Instead, there was a strange feeling.

It was a very strange and exciting feeling, if not a little overwhelming.

Finally, Mark Pattinson placed his hand on his shoulder and patted him lightly.

“Brother!” At this moment, a voice came in behind him.

Hansel was startled and turned his head. At this moment, Gretel ran over from behind him. To his surprise, he was accompanied by Lingo.

“Why are you here?” He asked while looking at Lingo, “You...?”

Lingo snorted and looked away.

“I contacted her. After seeing your location, I decided to come here directly!” Gretel said as she looked around, “Where is Mommy?” She asked worriedly.

When she mentioned Mommy, Hansel frowned, “Don't worry, Mommy is injured and she’s now in the emergency room now!”

Gretel’s face turned gloomy, “How is Mommy? She won’t be in trouble, right?”

“No, no!” Hansel tried to calm her, “Don't worry, Mommy will be fine!” he said.

Gretel had always obeyed Hansel’s words since young. Although they were almost the same age, she had faith in Hansel…
