Chapter 83 Feeling Of Being A Dad

After Piers Brion left, only three people, Mark Pattinson, Hansel, and Gretal were left.

They looked at each other, finding it was rather awkward.

After all, this was Mark Pattinson’s first time being a father. No matter what, he was quite unfamiliar with this.

The three sat on the bench by the side as they waited for the door of the emergency room to open.

At this point, Gretel seemed to be rather worried. “Hansel, Mummy is going to be fine right?” she asked.

Before Hansel could speak, Mark Pattinson answered first, “Don’t worry. Your mummy is going to be fine!” He had no idea if he said these words for Gretel’s sake or for his own.

Actually, he had no idea himself. It was just that he was clinging onto this thought like it was his belief.

Suddenly, he remembered something. Mark Pattinson looked at Hansel. “How did you know that something was going to happen to your mummy?”

Erm… About that...

Hansel And Gretel looked at each other for a moment, they had no idea how to explain this.

In the end, Hansel was the one who opened up. “That person just now is friends with me. He was the one who told me!”

“Him?” Mark Pattinson searched through his mind for memories about Piers Brion. He did not pay much attention to him, but he did spare a few glances at him. He did give a feeling that he was not someone to be messed with.

“What does he do?” Mark Pattinson asked. Even though he did not have Lyla’s approval, at this very moment, he had already solemnly taken up his role of a father, as he should.

“I’m not sure about that, but he has a lot of connections!” Hansel said.

They were in the same field after all. So how could Mark Pattinson not understand the presence that Piers Brion had around him? However, he did not expect that Hansel was friends like someone like that.

Even though Hansel had the maturity and calmness that did not match his age, in Mark Pattinson’s eyes, he was still just a child.

“Was he the one who taught you about the bomb?” Mark Pattinson asked again.

Hansel was silent for a moment before he gave his response. “Yeah.”

When he remembered the explosion just now, he could still feel fear linger in his heart. His brows knitted together. “He is a dangerous man. You should limit your contact with him! ” Mark Pattinson knew in his heart that he had no right to care for Hansel now, but he did not want Hansel to put himself into danger.

He did not know why, but when Mark Pattinson talked about Piers Brion like that, Hansel should be unhappy. But not only was Hansel not angry, he was really happy because that meant that he cared and was concerned about him.

When he thought about this, Hansel’s heart could not help but leap with joy.

“Ok!” Hansel answered obediently, playing the role of an obedient child. Even though he agreed with him on the surface, he was still thinking in his heart that since Mark Pattinson and Piers Brion should not have many opportunities to meet again in the future, so he should just cut down on the times he met Piers Brion.

He was the leader of Hell’s Angels Alliance, after all. They had to meet at some point.

But if his father knew about his identity, what should he do then?

He felt troubled just thinking about it.

If only Gates of Hell would collaborate with Hell's Angels Alliance someday, then he would not need to go to such lengths. But right now, both of them were mortal enemies. He really did not dare to declare it because he was not totally certain. He did not know what sort of person Mark Pattinson was either.

He would never do anything that he was not certain about. So he did not plan to announce anything.

It was just that he could not help but sigh in his heart. ‘But seriously, there are really a lot of coincidences in life. I can’t believe all the cliches in movies happened to me.’

As he sat there, Hansel looked just like a good kid.

Mark Pattinson watched him as he put on an earnest and innocent face. He did not think much about it. No matter how much he dwelled on it, he would never guess that Hansel was the leader of Hell’s Angels Alliance!

So he did not continue asking questions.

Even though Hansel gave him a very peculiar feeling, all his feelings were overwhelmed by this huge surprise.

“Then, do you know who would want to do this?” Mark Pattinson asked. Lyla did not have a personality so hateful that someone would plot to murder her.

When he mentioned this, Hansel cast a glance at him, as if wanting to say something. Before the words could leave his lips, he swallowed them.

Even though up till now, Mark Pattinson had been doing really well, he still could not find a way to tell him that he already knew who he was.

Because he was scared that after he revealed his answer, Mark Pattinson would not meet his expectation. That would make him even more disappointed.

So he would rather settle the matter on his own.

Even if the time came when Mark Pattinson would find out and want to blame him, he would have nothing to say.

When he thought of this, he shook his head. “I don’t know!”

Even if Hansel was smart and valliant, in Mark Pattinson’s eyes, he was still a child. He did not dwell on it too much but only let out a sigh. “Don’t worry. I’ll get someone to investigate what happened to your mummy,” Mark Pattinson said, hoping to assure Hansel and Gretel.

Sitting on the bench, Hansel nodded. The innocence in his eyes made Mark Pattinson’s heart bleed for him.

He would never let them repeat his past mistakes.

The trio waited outside anxiously.

At some point, Gretel sat on Mark Pattinson.

As Mark Pattinson was hugging her, it felt different from when he hugged her before. Back then, he felt that tiny child in his arms like this was pretty cute.

But now, he knew that he was hugging his daughter.

Nothing else could compare to that feeling.

He knew clearly that this feeling was different from when he learned that Kathleen Turner was pregnant. At the time, he felt frustrated and depressed after he learned of the news.

And now, he actually felt blessed.

No, it was excitement. He felt like it was a miracle.

That feeling could not be described with words.

At that very moment, he had long forgotten his agreement with Eileen Dawson. Their existence was the best thing that had ever happened to him.

Even if Lyla were to deny it at this point, he had already made up his mind that they were his.

While watching them, Mark Pattinson’s heart gradually calmed down. He told himself that this was not a dream, it was all real!
