Chapter 186 There’s No Bottom Line In Love

Lyla did not speak, and Lily continued to guess. “Are Mr. Pattinson and you close to something good?”

“Close to what? Don’t be ridiculous!” Lyla interrupted her.

“Then what’s going on with you two? You’re both admitted to the hospital and are even staying in the same ward. There must be something wrong!” Lily was certain.

Lyla frowned at that. “How did you know I was hospitalized?”

“It was obvious from how you behaved that day that something was wrong, and the nurse word’s have already exposed, your, lies!” Lily said word by word.

“Sigh, I rarely lie, but I ended up caught anyway!” Lyla shook her head helplessly.

Lily ignored her expression and continued, “After I went back, I sent a WhatsApp message to your son and asked, so I know everything!”

Lyla. “...”

She looked up at Lyla. “Is it really a good idea to add my son’s WhatsApp behind my back?”

“Can’t help it. I’ve already added him!”

Lyla shook her head helplessly.

“I even heard that you confessed to Mr. Pattinson…” Lily laughed with excitement. Lyla’s eyes brightened when she heard this. “Did my son tell you that too?”

Lily shook her head. “I can’t snitch on him!”

“You already snitched on him!”

“Let’s not talk about that first. Be honest, are Mr. Pattinson and you…?” Lily winked ambiguously at her with a knowing look.

Lyla was just about to deny it when she suddenly remembered what Hansel said. After pondering for a moment, she raised her clear eyes and smiled. “What if we are!”

It was rare to see that expression on Lyla’s face. Lily had an indescribable feeling that she was seeing things, but she still felt envious. “Lyla Lowe, you’ve gone too far. Your tone clearly shows off your love!”

“What are you talking about?” Lyla continued to raise her eyebrows, but her smile was very pleasant.

In her heart, she realized that it turns out that admitting it was not as difficult as she imagined. There was also a sweet feeling sandwiched with it. So, this was love.

“You’re simply too blessed!”

Lyla smiled and cleaned up the sundries on the table. “Don’t be envious. You can’t be envious about this!”

Lily blinked and slowly moved in front of Lyla. “That’s not your style. When did you start showing off your love? There’s no bottom line either.”

“This is showing off my love?”

“Isn’t it?”

“I… just confessed. If this is showing off love, I’m afraid you might not be able to stand it in the future!” Lyla laughed.

“What are you planning?” Lily looked with her with an expression of disdain.

“You have to believe that it’s not about what I’m planning. It’s about what Mark Pattinson is planning!” Lyla could imagine how Mark would be when he came back. She absolutely could.

“What is he planning?”

“Hm…” Lyla thought it over and then spoke. “You’ll know when he comes back victorious!”

Although she could have some idea, with how Mark did not have a bottom line, she still could not imagine what he would do.

Lily. “...”

Lyla smiled. The feeling of showing off her blessings felt so good!

Just as she was thinking, her phone rang and displayed an unknown number. Lyla’s heart could not help but jump. Although she had not answered it, she seemed to know that the caller was not good.

“What’s wrong?” Lily asked her.

Lyla’s face stiffened before she shook her head. “It’s nothing. I’ll take the call!”

Lily nodded. “Okay, you carry on then. I’ll go out first!”

Lyla nodded and Lily walked out. Then, Lyla picked up the phone and pressed the answer button. “Hello!”

“It’s me!”

Just those words and that voice was enough for Lyla to know who he was.

“Is there anything wrong, Chairman Pattinson?!” Lyla became serious as soon as she received the call.

“I’m waiting for you in Mark’s office. Come over here right now!”

“Is something wrong?”

“You’ll know when you come!” Then, the line cut before Lyla could say anything.

Lyla really disdained that commanding tone and arrogant style, but she had no choice. She put down the phone and had no choice but to go there.

Lyla walked over to Mark’s office door and knocked politely before pushing the door open and walking in.

“Chairman Pattinson, you called for me?” Lyla walked in and looked at the person sitting on the couch across from her. She was expressionless and was unable to give him a good expression either. She had not forgotten what Justin Pattinson had said to Mark and her in the hospital. He had completely destroyed the image of being a father in Lyla’s heart.

Justin looked at her and mulled for a long time before saying, “What do you want to do with Logan?”

“Did you call me here for this, Chairman Pattinson?” Lyla asked.

“Why else did you think I called you?”

“Then let me tell you this. I don’t know. I don’t know where he is either. If there’s nothing else, I’ll get back to work!” Then, Lyla no longer said anything else and turned to leave.

“Wait!” Justin spoke behind her.

“If you’re willing to convince Mark to let him go, I may allow you to be together!” Justin stated a condition.

Lyla’s footsteps froze.

Looking back, her originally clear gaze suddenly became turbid.

“How about it? Can you agree to this condition?” Justin looked at her and asked.

Lyla suddenly smiled. “Chairman Pattinson, I have a question I really want to ask you!”

“What is it?”

“Isn’t Mark Pattinson your son?”
