Chapter 249 The Luckiest Thing

Mark’s eyebrows knitted up. His eyes were as deep and cold as a cave when he said, "I thought this might happen, but I just didn't think it’d be so soon!"

Hansel asked worriedly, "So what now?"

Mark asked with a sullen face, "Where are they now?"

Hansel analyzed the situation and said, "Felix went out to fend them off, but I reckon that Angiulo’s people won't stop until they find us!"

Mark pursed his lips. His face was extremely handsome when he was deep in thought. After a while, he spoke, "Now, what’s most important is ensuring the safety of Mommy and Gretel. We’ll pacify them first and talk later."

Hansel’s face was solemn as he nodded and said, "Okay, I know. I'll make the arrangements."

After saying that, he walked away.

Mark stood in place, thinking about the solution to the matter. He did not know how far the situation developed, but he had no intention to drag Felix Smith into this mess.

He did not want to owe Felix anymore favors.

......

After pacifying Lyla and Gretel, Hansel went back to Mark.

"Daddy, it's done!"

Mark nodded.

"Are we going out?"

Mark shook his head and said, "We can’t take the risk to go out not until we have no other options. Once they confirm that Felix helped us, it’ll just get more complicated."

"So what now?"

"Let's see how Felix handles it first," Mark said. Even though he was worried about the current situation, he had to stay calm.

The two of them waited anxiously.

Hansel looked at him and asked, "Daddy, what are you thinking about?"

"Is Angiulo still alive?"

Mark could see Lola's determination. She would not have been so relaxed if nothing happened to Angiulo.

"The person who came was Angiulo’s father, Juliano!"

"That means that something happened to Angiulo?"

"I think so."

Mark pursed his lips. He thought about something, then took out his phone and made a call.

"Hey Niel, do me a favor!"

Niel Issac said, "Bro, can you not make a habit of calling when people are sleeping?"

"Something’s going on right now and you’ll have to take action."

Niel heard Mark’s urgent tone and was awake in an instant. He asked, "What's wrong? What happened?"

"I want you to find trouble with Central Alliance."

"Find trouble with Central Alliance? Why?"

"There’s no time to explain at the moment. Just do as I say!"

"Okay, I understand what you mean. I'll get right on it!"

With that, the call ended.

Hansel watched from the side and roughly understood what Mark meant. After Mark hung up, Hansel also made a call.

Jack said, "Hey baby, it's so late. Why are you looking for me?"

"Jack, I have something I need your help with."

"What is it?"

"Find trouble with Central Alliance!"

"Umm...why? Is something wrong?"

Hansel replied, "Yes, they bullied me!"

Jack got mad when he heard this and said, "Okay, I got it. Bullying you is like finding fault with the entire Hell’s Angels! I’ll do it now."

"Mm!"

After hanging up the phone, Hansel raised his eyes. Mark also happened to look over and the father-son pair smiled at each other.

Hopefully, this would catch them off guard and they would stop pestering Felix.

Sure enough, Felix came back a little over half an hour later.

As soon as he entered, he saw them sitting in the living room, seemingly waiting for him.

"Felix, how is it?"

"They've left!"

"Did they give you a hard time?"

Felix shook his head.

He then looked at Mark and said, "I think Central Alliance won’t let you off this easily..."

"I know. I’ve already thought of the consequences before I did this."

Felix pursed his lips and did not say more. He only doubted in his heart.

He knew that Ghost Gate was Mark's people, so he could certainly mobilize them, but earlier, even Hell’s Angels helped out.

It was not strange for both parties to deal with Central Alliance. What was strange was them attacking at the same time.

If not for them, Juliano’s people would keep on pestering him.

As Felix considered this, he looked at Mark.

Could it be that he had already allied with Hell’s Angels?

Even if it was an alliance, Mark could not possibly mobilize them like this. Or perhaps they made some sort of deal?

Seeing Felix’s unwavering stare, Mark said, "Just spit it out already!"

Felix asked, "Do you know why Juliano’s people suddenly retreated?"

Mark just looked at him and did not answer, but what it meant was very obvious.

Felix asked directly, "You've allied with Hell’s Angels?"

If that was the case, then it was not a good thing for either Central Alliance or him.

Hansel froze upon hearing the words ‘Hell’s Angels’. He looked at Felix, then at Mark.

Fortunately, Felix was not suspicious of him. At that time, he just wanted to be rid of Central Alliance and forgot about this little detail.
