Chapter 251 Mend Their Relationship

"You're really not worried about Felix?"

Lyla said, "We have to move forward. Since this is his choice, we should respect it!"

Mark listened and nodded his head.

Since that was the case, Felix was a thing of the past.

"In that case, what do you want as a wedding gift?"

"Money!"

"Besides that?"

"An endless amount of money to splurge!"

"There’s nothing else you want?"

Lyla thought about it very seriously...

......

As soon as they got off the plane, Justin Pattinson was waiting for them outside.

He was ecstatic after he heard that Gretel was fine and could not wait for them to come back, so he went to the airport early.

Justin waited for several hours.

Lyla and Mark went over.

"Dad, why are you here?"

Mark was still a little unaccustomed to seeing Justin like this. When he was young and returned from abroad, Justin never once showed up. Yet, he had come to pick them up personally.

"Of course I came to see my grandson and granddaughter!"

As he said this, he looked at Gretel and asked, “How are you feeling?”

Gretel replied, "I'm fine, Grandpa!"

He looked at Gretel and felt his heart ache after hearing Hansel’s description of what happened to her.

"Don’t run around by yourself anymore. Just tell Grandpa where you want to go and I’ll take you!"

Lyla and Mark felt strange. They only left for a while, but Justin felt like a different person altogether. He was so friendly all of a sudden.

Even Gretel felt a little odd. She stole a glance at her parents, then smiled and said, "Okay!"

"Good girl. Let’s go! I’ll take you home."

As Justin said this, he held Gretel’s hand and walked away.

Hansel asked, "Grandpa, aren’t you being a little biased?"

"How could I? You’re both my precious grandchildren. Let’s go home!"

After he said this, he held each of the twins’ hands in his and headed out.

His precious...

Lyla and Mark helplessly glanced at each other. Justin Pattinson would never say such things in the past, but now...

"He..."

"Let's go. We'll get used to it slowly." Lyla comforted Mark.

Mark had no comments and followed behind.

In the car.

It was a stretch seven-seater car.

Lyla and Mark were sitting on one side while Justin was chatting with Hansel and Gretel.

Looking at the way Justin chatted with the twins animatedly, Lyla’s mouth curled up into a smile.

This kind of family happiness was pretty nice.

She looked out the window as the buildings flashed past her and breathed a sigh of relief.

The scenery of Alpine City made her feel particularly at ease and the air felt extremely relaxing.

Lyla took a deep breath and enjoyed this moment of serenity that she had not felt in a while.

At that moment, Hansel was chatting on the side. He looked at the old man and asked, "Grandpa, Daddy’s still injured. Why don’t you show some concern for him?"

The old man heard this and glanced at Mark. He reluctantly asked, "What happened? You alright?"

"Yes."

"Why did you have to fight when you can't win? Do you have a death wish?"

Mark was speechless for a moment.

He too was agitated and said, "Sorry to disappoint you!"

Hansel did not know how to react.

It seemed that he had accidentally sparked a war.

"I..."

The old man was just about to say something when Hansel stopped him.

"Why are you stopping me? Didn't you hear what he said? How ridiculous..."

The old man ranted in anger.

"That’s because of you!"

"How is it my fault?"

Hansel asked, "Isn’t it? Did you greet or comfort him?"

"I...what's wrong with that?"

Hansel replied, "Of course it's not right. If it were me, I’d get mad too!"

The old man frowned and said, "Then do I have to be polite when I talk to him?"

"No one’s asking you to talk politely, but you shouldn’t irritate him as soon as you open your mouth."

The old man said, "He deserves it! If I don’t agitate him, he might do something more outrageous next time!"

"Even if something happens to me, it has nothing to do with you!" Mark could not help but interject.

"You-"

"Hey! Hey!"

Hansel immediately stopped them.

Lyla also tried to pacify Mark.

At that point, Hansel pulled the old man and turned to the side.

"Why are you being so shady? I’m not afraid of him!"

"Shh, keep your voice down!"

"No!" The old man's haughty eyes looked to the side.

Hansel felt very helpless.

He then gestured to Gretel.

Gretel immediately understood and grabbed the old man's hand. She whined, "Grandpa~"

No one could whine like Gretel.

Justin immediately compromised after hearing this.

"Fine, fine, just say what you want!"

Only then did Hansel reveal a smug smile and said, "Grandpa, if you really want to mend your relationship with Daddy, don’t insult him every time you speak!"

Justin felt as if he had been poked in the heart. He immediately denied it and said, "Who...who said I wanted to ease relations with him?"
