Chapter 262 Lyla’s worries

Lyla turned around slowly and looked at her with cold eyes. “What’s the matter?”

Amelia looked fierce and aggressive. “What’s with your attitude? He’s still your dad! How can you talk to him like this?” Amelia pointed at Lyla’s nose and asked.

Lyla stood in place with a stiff expression. “What about you? How can you talk to me like this?”

“You, I'm still your stepmother, so you better have some respect!”

Stepmother.

Lyla smiled sarcastically. “Sorry, in my heart, you are nothing!”

“You --”

“Lyla, watch your words!” At this moment, Andrew stood up and scolded her.

“Dad, I think what I wanted to say has been very clear. I have no objection to the both of you getting married. However, no one can force me to recognize anyone. In my heart, I only have one mom, and she has already passed away!”

“You --”

Amelia clenched her fists as she looked at Lyla. She was filled with hatred and anger, but she also felt helpless.

“What? Do you think that you’re a big deal now that you’ve found a rich man? Let me tell you, he will always be your father, this is a fact that can never be changed. No matter how capable you are, do you have the ability you change all of your blood?”

“I haven't thought about changing anything, but I can at least choose who I want to recognize or not recognize!” The angrier Amelia was, the less angry and calmer Lyla was. She knew that this was the only way to make Amelia even angrier.

"You, you’re just like that b*tch, you don't know what’s best for you!” Amelia rambled.

Upon hearing this, Lyla’s expression changed drastically as all of her anger suddenly rushed up. At that moment, she could not control herself at all and walked directly towards Amelia.

She grabbed Amelia’s hand. Her aggressive look shocked Amelia and Andrew.

“You, what are you doing now? You still want to fight?” Amelia trembled in her heart as she saw Lyla like this.

“Take back your words just now!”

“What, what if I don’t want to?”

“If you don’t…” Lyla came closer with each step.

Andrew saw this and immediately said, “Lyla, what do you want to do? Let go!”

“Dad, didn’t you hear what she called my mom?” Lyla asked as she looked at him angrily.

“She was just angry so she couldn’t help it!” Andrew tried to find an excuse for her. However, Lyla thought that the way he tried to protect Amelia was just pathetic.

Thus, she suddenly let go and caused Amelia to fall onto the ground in an instant.

“Lyla, you --” Andrew looked at her and immediately went to help Amelia up.

Lyla said, “I was just angry for a while, so I accidentally let go!”

Andrew, “...”

It could be seen that Lyla was no longer as obedient as before. Even Andrew was not sure whether his decision to meet her today was right or wrong.

Amelia sat on the ground and looked at Lyla. It was as if a fire had accumulated in her chest. If it was not because of her identity, she really wished to get up and hit Lyla.

“You’ve really become capable now huh? It seems like you’ve become a big deal now that you’ve found a rich man!”

Lyla laughed. “You’re right, I am a big deal now. So let me tell you, it's best not to mess with me. Also, if you dare to say anything disrespectful about my mother again, believe it or not, I’ll make you disappear from this world!” Lyla looked at her and said word by word.

Amelia looked at her and was dumbfounded by her words for a while.

Upon looking at Lyla’s eyes and listening to her tone, even if she wanted to say something, her words were stuck in her throat. Therefore, she dared not say anything.

The people around Lyla were all not simple. Felix, Mark, Hansel, Lingo, she had been influenced by them, which indirectly made her aura stronger.

Therefore, Amelia kept silent when she said that.

Even Andrew who just stayed at the side felt that Lyla had changed.

She was no longer a person that would hold back and accept everything.

The both of them pressed their lips together, not knowing what to say.

Lyla looked at them and calmed her down. She then turned away and left.

Amelia got back to her senses after Lyla had disappeared from their eyes. She looked at Andrew. “You, did you see it? She’s outrageous now! She even threatened and intimidated me!”

“Andrew, do you hear me?” Amelia shouted as she looked at him.

Andrew looked at Lyla’s back. He was already past his fifties and had a helpless expression on his face. Finally, he looked at Amelia and said, “Okay now, you’re already this old, don’t you know what you should and should not say? How could you say that when you know that it’s something that she doesn’t like being mentioned?”

Amelia was stunned.

She did not expect that even Andrew would nag her about it.

She looked at his back and shouted, “Who am I doing this for? Aren’t I just doing this for you and your company? If it weren’t because of that, why would I even let that girl in?”

However, her shouting only got Andrew’s cold back in return…

Amelia sat on the ground, extremely upset.

She never expected that Lyla would have this day.

……

After leaving the Lowe household, even Lyla did not know how she felt that moment.

She had thought about it throughout her journey there, but she did not expect that she still could not control herself.

Lyla did not know what was wrong with herself. Was it because she hated being used or was it because she could not bear to ignore the harm they did to her any longer?

Lyla sighed.

However, she still felt a little sad in her heart.

She was still not ruthless and firm enough.

When she first came over, she still had a trace of hope. However, after seeing Andrew's eyes, all of her thoughts were shattered, she really should not even hold a single hint of expectation.

She drove the car but did not go back home. Instead, she went towards the cemetery.

Halfway through, she bought a bunch of flowers and walked to a woman who looked like her. She stopped and placed a bunch of flowers in front of her.

“Mom, I’ve come to visit you!”

She smiled as she looked at her mom’s photo. “I still couldn't help but have a fight with them!"
