Chapter 278 Just In Time

“Wait!”

Upon seeing that they were about to shoot, Felix spoke, “Do you know who she is?”

“I don’t care who she is! Today shall be the death of you two!” That person did not care at all.

“Then you’re not afraid of offending Hell’s Gate and Hell’s Angels Alliance?” Felix asked coldly.

Just as he said this, they were taken aback.

“Hell’s Gate and Hell’s Angels Alliance have now come together. She’s the woman of the Hell’s Gate Hall Master. If you kill her today, do you think that you’ll be fine?” Felix looked at them and asked.

Felix never wanted to admit that she was Mark’s woman.

However, he had admitted it today.

Only God knew that this hurt more than a gunshot to him. Nonetheless, he had no choice. If he did not use such a way, Lyla would die together with him right there.

Therefore, he had to do that to ensure that she would live.

Just as expected, they were stunned when Felix finished speaking.

“Do you think that I’ll believe it just because you said it?”

“Your target is me, so you’re done with your job as long as you kill me. However, if you kill her, I think that the people from Hell’s Gate would fight you to death even if their organization was disbanded!”

Those people fell into silence.

“You all can now call your leaders and see what they say!” Felix said.

After listening to his words, their leader nodded to the people behind him, asking them to look after Felix while he went to make the call.

Lyla grabbed Felix, and Felix also held her hand to tell her to not worry.

“You really don't have to do this!” Lyla looked at him and said.

Felix looked back at her with deep, serious eyes. “If I can't protect you, then I at least can't put you in danger!”

Lyla looked at him and narrowed her eyes, but did not know what to say.

At this moment, the man was back from the call and looked at Felix. “Well, in this case, then I shall fulfill you!”

This meant that he agreed.

However, Lyla was not happy at all even though she was out of danger. Instead, she had an unspeakable heaviness in her heart.

Felix looked at them, smiled, and nodded. “Ok, then let her go!”

“You can leave!”

Lyla shook her head. “No, I won’t leave! If we want to leave, then we should leave together!”

“Lyla, just listen to me, leave immediately!” Felix looked at her and said.

Lyla shook her head as tears filled her eyes. “No, Felix, I won't leave you behind. Otherwise, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life!"

“This matter isn’t your fault, so you don't need to think much about it. Don't forget, you still have Hansel and Gretel. Besides, you’re married at the end of the month. So, just listen to me, leave…”

Lyla shook her head as her tears fell. She grabbed onto Felix and refused to let go.

Upon seeing that they were being slow, the man said impatiently, “You better leave quickly, or I'll kill you too!”

Lyla looked at the man and glared fiercely at them. “That's fine! Hurry up if you want to kill me!”

“You-”

The man raised the gun and aimed at Lyla. “I'll say it one more time, get out of here!”

Lyla looked at them but refused to leave.

“Go!” Felix looked at her and shouted.

Lyla looked at him and shook her head. “I won't go!”

“Fine, if that's the case, then I shall fulfill your wish!” The man started to panic as he said this. He did not care what his order was, he immediately picked up the gun and shot at Lyla. At that moment, Felix suddenly blocked in front of her.

Lyla was now stunned.

“Fe-Felix…” Lyla's pupils widened as she watched this scene in disbelief.

Upon seeing that Felix was shot, the man shot again.

At this moment, only a few bangs were heard. However, the pain did not hit Lyla’s body as she expected. Lyla looked up and saw that all those people had collapsed.

She did not know what was going on, so she looked up and looked around. Suddenly, a car came from a distance, stopped, and a figure walked out.

That person was none other than Lingo.

Lingo ran over and looked at those people. After making sure that they were dead, she walked toward Lyla. “How are you? Are you okay?”

Lyla came back to her senses. She looked at Felix as he seemed to lose consciousness. “Felix... Felix, are you okay?”

Lingo looked at Felix and frowned.

At this moment, another car drove over.

“Mommy!”

Hansel ran over and looked at Lyla. “Mommy, are you okay?”

“I’m fine!” Lyla shook her head. “Felix, he…”

Upon seeing Felix, Hansel had no time to figure out the situation. He just looked at Piers and said, “Send him to the hospital immediately!”

Piers nodded and walked over.

Then, Hansel looked at Lyla worriedly. “Mommy, what about you? Do you have any injuries?”

“I, I…”

Before she could even finish speaking, Lyla’s eyes closed and she immediately fainted.

“Mommy!”

……

Meanwhile, in the hospital.

Mark immediately rushed over the moment he heard about it.

Along the way, he drove recklessly, running red lights and overtaking other cars. He drove at a crazy speed. If the traffic police did not identify his car, they would have chased after him to the hospital.

“How is it? How’s your mommy?” Mark looked at Hansel and asked worriedly the moment he stepped in.
