Chapter 285 The Life Of A Family Of Four

Mark, “...”

He was speechless at this mother and daughter echoing each other and turned to Hansel.

Hansel immediately distanced himself from the relationship. “Daddy, don’t look at me. Although we’re both men, at this time, I can’t stand in your position. I’ll be protested against!!”

“Can you at least say something?”

“Sure I can. I agree with my sister. In this world, men are the most unreliable. Of course, I’m an exception!” Hansel said.

“You say that as if I’m unreliable!”

“At the very least, with Daddy’s previous history of romantic affairs, it makes it hard to believe that you’re a person who is dedicated to his feelings!”

“Who doesn’t have a bit of a past? Should we deny a person’s present because of the past?”

“There’s no helping it. This is reality!” Hansel shrugged helplessly.

Mark only had one mouth and could not win against those three. He looked at Hansel. “Without my reliable labor, how would a reliable son like you exist?”

“Daddy, don’t put feathers in your own cap. I take after Mommy in that regard!”

Mark, “...”

“Baby, well said!” Lyla laughed from the side.

Hansel gave her a big smile. A wise man submits to the circumstances, just like Hansel did.

Seeing that Mark was being ganged up on, he had to stand on the side with more people. Otherwise, he would lose his foothold in this home.

Mark lost.

He shook his head helplessly. “Okay, I was wrong!”

“It’s good that you know. It’s a great virtue to correct what you’ve done wrong!” Lyla said with a smile.

“Daddy, what about this matter?” Gretel asked.

“First of all, I have nothing to do with that woman. There was no physical contact at all because, in my heart, there’s only your Mommy!”

“So?”

“So, this reporter is writing nonsense to start a rumor about me. They’re making trouble out of nothing!”

“If you had stayed at home properly, the reporter wouldn’t be able to make trouble out of nothing!”

“So you’re blaming me for not coming back yesterday?”

Gretel nodded.

“Okay, I won’t do that again!” Mark simply admitted to his mistake. After all, they won.

“Hmph, seeing that your attitude of admitting your mistake isn’t bad, I’ll forgive you this time, but if there’s a next time, don’t blame us for being discourteous!”

Mark really wanted to ask what she meant by discourteous, but thinking about it again, if he asked, what followed would be a continuous stream of ‘lessons’, so he simply shut up.

At that point, Gretel sighed helplessly. “Sigh, Mommy isn’t me. If she were me, I’d have broken his legs already!”

Mark, “...”

Lyla, “...”

Who gave birth to such a violent child?

Hansel served breakfast and looked at them. The atmosphere between Daddy and Mommy was finally better.

“Okay, breakfast is ready!” Hansel said.

Gretel ate helplessly.

Lyla and Mark exchanged glances and also started to eat.

The family did not take this news as an incident at all.

At that time, Mark ate and looked at them. “By the way, I have something to announce!”

The twins ate and looked at him silently, waiting for his announcement.

“The wedding between your Mommy and I may not be held at the end of the month as scheduled!” He said.

“Why?”

“Why?”

Hansel and Gretel asked in unison.

“Because your Mommy and I have to go abroad together to treat Felix!” Mark said.

Hansel looked over to them before fixing on Mark’s body. “Have you both thought about it?”

Mark nodded. “Yes, I’m not comfortable with your Mommy going alone, so I’m going with her!”

“But we’re almost ready for the wedding. Now…” Gretel said with great regret.

Mark looked at her. “Don’t worry, your efforts won’t be in vain. Our wedding will still be held. It’s just a matter of sooner or later!”

Hansel and Gretel knew that Mark and Lyla had been troubled by this matter recently. They were not surprised with this decision now.

After all, Felix’s kindness to them was no less.

So...

“Okay then!” Gretel nodded.

“How will you explain it to Grandpa?” Hansel asked. “After all, the old man is very concerned about this matter. If he learns that you suddenly aren’t going to get married, he’ll be furious!”

At the mention of Justin, Mark thought for a while before saying, “Even if he gets angry, there’s no other way. No one expected this and no one wanted this to happen. Besides, this is our business. He has nothing to be angry about!”

Hansel pouted and looked at him. “Actually, we can just blame Grandpa for getting angry sometimes. Daddy, your words will make people feel uncomfortable!”

“Even if it’s uncomfortable, it’s the truth!” Mark looked at Hansel, sizing him up.

“What’s that look for?!”

“Nothing. I just think that it’s not without reason that the old man likes you!” This was something that Hansel was much better at than him.

He was a person who held grudges, but as for Hansel, nevermind how the Old Master had treated them before, he did not hold any grudges at all.

Thinking of this, the corners of his mouth curled in a pleased smile.
