Chapter 297 Preparing To Act

Mark and the others returned to Australia.

That was because they knew that there was no point in staying in America.

If Felix had the intention to take Lyla away, he would not stay in America, so they had to go back and think long and hard about it.

Mark did not lose his temper again and was indescribably calm.

Hansel and Gretel watched. They also knew. It was not that he was not worried, but he had to force himself to calm down. Only then could he find information as soon as possible.

However, the more he acted like that, the more worried and heartbroken they felt.

It was better to just vent it out. At the very least, they knew that it was very worrying to stay awake and not eat or drink anything.

However, no matter how they persuaded him, it was useless.

Mark only gave them a reassuring smile and continued to search for news.

“What should we do? At this rate, I’m afraid Daddy’s body will break down!” Gretel said worriedly.

Hansel’s expression sank, and he said after a long time, “He won’t. Until there’s news of Mummy, Daddy definitely won’t let himself break down!”

“But if this goes on…”

“All we can do now is help find news regarding Mummy!” Hansel interrupted her words and said firmly.

Gretel nodded. “I know, but Felix isn’t contacting us at all. Moreover, Mummy’s signal is also blocked. What can we do?” Gretel was also very anxious.

Hansel was silent.

Indeed.

He did not know what to do.

They really wanted to do something, but they had no idea where to start.

At that moment, Lingo and Piers pushed the door open and went straight over when they saw Hansel and Gretel. “We got some news!”

The two looked over.

“Your Daddy is arranging for people in Ghost Gate to attack the Eastern Union headquarters!”

Hearing this, Hansel and Gretel exchanged glances.

They were surprised, yet calm.

They had thought about it, but they just did not expect it to be so soon.

“If Daddy is doing this, that means there’s no other way!” Hansel said.

“If they fight, the consequences will get out of control!” Gretel said sadly. After all, she did not want to meet Felix on the battlefield. Otherwise, all the good that had been accumulated before would disappear.

"It’s already out of control. Unless Felix sends your Mommy back safe and sound and gives a perfect explanation, I think your Daddy will never leave the matter at that!” Lingo said.

“In other words, this war is necessary?” Gretel asked.

This matter was something she did not want to face the most.

At that time, Lingo looked at her and reached out to rub her head. “You must be mentally prepared. How this develops might be crueler than you can imagine. This field has always been like this!”

Gretel raised her head and looked at Lingo. From her eyes, she saw determination but also hurt.

Lingo must have experienced a lot of things.

Who would be able to walk to this point easily?

In the end, Gretel nodded. “I understand!”

Lingo gave her a gratified smile.

She knew that for a child, it was slightly cruel. One was her biological father, and the other was a father-figure who took care of them for many years. They were in the middle and had to choose. It was indeed cruel.

If it were her, she could not make a good decision without hesitation either.

Lingo sighed.

Perhaps this was a kind of training for them.

Hansel stood by the side and did not say anything.

Lingo looked at him. “What do you think?”

Hansel also had a headache. “I don’t know either!”

“At the very least, if it’s Felix who took your Mummy away, you don’t have to worry about her safety!” Lingo said.

That was the reason why he had not acted until now.

If Lyla had been kidnapped by someone else, he would have been frantic, but until now, he still had not figured out a way to deal with it.

Seeing him remain silent, Lingo looked at him. “You only need to answer one question!”

“What is it?”

“If one person has to die between your Daddy and Felix Smith, who would you choose?” Lingo asked.

Hansel looked at her silently.

This question was just as difficult as asking who he would save first if his mother and wife fell into the sea.

He still did not speak.

That was because he really could not choose.

“Okay, in that case, tell me. Do you want to help your Daddy now?” Lingo asked differently

“I do!”

“Then it’s settled!” Lingo said. “If you want to do it, then do it. As for the results and consequences, we’ll talk about that later!”

This was Lingo’s style.

Hearing this, Hansel suddenly had a feeling of clarity.

“I got it!” At that point, he turned to look at Piers. “Go inform Jack that I want to deal with Eastern Union with Daddy!”

“Okay, I got it!” Piers immediately nodded.

“Brother, but Felix already suspects your identity. If you do this…”

“I don't care about that now!” Hansel said. “If we don’t solve this matter, the conflict between Daddy and Felix will get worse!”

“But if you do this, you’re just advancing the conflict!”

“If it’s going to happen anyway, what does it matter if it happens sooner than later?”

Gretel nodded. They could only be ruthless now.

This would happen sooner or later. No matter what the outcome was, she would have to suffer. It was just a matter of time.

‘Felix...

‘I’m sorry.’
