Chapter 323 Always Stay With You

“No!” Amanda answered honestly.

Lily’s gaze fell onto Amanda, which was filled with curiosity and suspicion.

Amanda felt a chill in her heart. “Yes, about this, I saw this from a magazine, so I just drew it accordingly!”

“Magazine? What magazine?” Lily continued asking.

“It was a long time ago. I don’t really remember it…”

Lily frowned and shook her head. “No, this is personally drawn by Lyla!” Lily said confidently.

At that moment, Amanda felt as if her heart was going to jump right out of her throat. “What, what are you talking about? I, I don’t really understand!”

Lily looked at her and sighed. “Forget it. I’m overthinking it!”

She looked at that drawing as she spoke. This drawing was indeed drawn by Lyla. She had seen it before when she went to Lyla’s house for a meal. However, she only had a glance at it, so she could not remember it clearly.

Lily looked at it and gave it back to Amanda. “Alright, get to work!”

Amanda took it and nodded.

Upon seeing that Lily was not going to continue asking, Amanda let out a breath of relief.

……

Meanwhile, in Mark’s office.

Delilah pushed open the door to Mark’s office.

Mark looked up and frowned when he saw her.

“Why are you here?”

“What? You don’t want to see me?” Delilah asked.

Mark did not have much of a reaction. He just closed his eyes for a moment and spoke indifferently, “Just say it if there’s anything!”

Delilah walked in with her three-inch high-heeled shoes. “In any case, I’m still your girlfriend. How can you be so cold to me?”

“Whether or not you’re my girlfriend, you should know it clearly in your heart!” Mark said without even lifting his head.

Delilah wanted to say something, but she did not upon seeing Mark’s cold expression. She then just nodded. “I’ve come to see you today because I’ll need your help for something!”

“What is it?”

“Let’s get engaged!” Delilah said.

Mark wondered if he had misheard her. He then looked up at her. “What did you say?”

“Don’t worry. I’m talking about a fake engagement. These days, not only has my family been urging me, that Mr. Jones is also…” Delilah stopped before she even finished speaking. “Therefore, this is the only way to shut them up!”

“I don’t have any obligation to put on such a show with you!” Mark said without any interest.

“But you’re my boyfriend!” Delilah corrected him

“Please mind yourself. It’s an act!”

“Yes, it’s an act. That’s why only you can accompany me to put on this show!”

“I’ve already said it. I’m not interested!” Mark said indifferently.

Delilah frowned. “Mark Pattinson, I really want to know, what on Earth are you thinking about in your heart?”

Mark did not say a word.

“If you don’t want to help me, then why did you promise me in the first place?!” Delilah asked, slightly angered. Mark was not giving in no matter how she tried to force or persuade him, which made her angry.

Speaking about this, Mark was taken aback for a moment. He definitely could not tell her that he did it because Lyla had also said what she just said before.

Mark pressed his lips together and did not speak.

“Mark Pattinson!!!”

“I can hear you! You don’t need to be that loud!” Mark said slowly.

“I know that you have your own thoughts and principles, so I’m not forcing you. However, you’re now my boyfriend in name, so no one can help me except you!”

“We can break up even if I’m your boyfriend!”

Delilah frowned. “You want to break up with me?”

“Isn’t this something that’s going to happen sooner or later?”

Delilah looked at him and clenched her fists. “I know that you have someone in your heart. I’ve never thought of replacing her, so you don't have to treat me in such a guarded manner. However, since you’ve agreed, you should follow the rules we set, right?”

Mark did not speak.

The more he behaved like this, the angrier Delilah became.

To make him stay, she did not hesitate to tie him up with something like an agreement. However, she did not expect Mark to be so cruel and ruthless.

Delilah looked at him in frustration. She then glared at him and turned away without saying a word.

Mark did not even look up even when he knew the door had been closed. Even Mark did not know what he was thinking about. It seemed that in Mark’s heart, there was still a trace of hope left for her, which could not be replaced by anyone else.

…...

When Amanda got back, she immediately laid on the couch.

“What happened? Why are you like this?” Lyla looked at her and asked.

“Lyla, do you know how cautious I had to be for the whole day? It felt like I was in some palace drama! I was so worried that I would accidentally leak it!” Amanda asked with a tired look.
