Chapter 325 I’m The Savior That Your Father Sent Over

Once the news was published, Delilah was stunned as she read the newspaper.

She was doubting whether she misread it.

Delilah had begged Mark before and he disagreed, but then…

Ms. Davis looked at Delilah with a smile. “Ms. Collins, what’s the matter?”

“What… what on Earth is this?” Delilah asked. Although she did not know Mark that well, she still knew a little about him after all this time. Why would Mark help her all of a sudden?

“About this… Maybe he just feels bad for you!”

Upon hearing this, Delilah smiled palely. “I know the kind of person he is very well. If he can have a trace of…” She stopped mid-sentence and did not know how to continue. She then smiled bitterly from the corner of her lips.

Ms. Davis looked at her from the side and said, “No matter what it is, things will be settled now that Mr. Pattinson is here. Even the people from Mr. Jones’ side have called to reconcile!” Ms. Davis sighed as she said, “People nowadays are such realists!”

Delilah smiled, but it was not a sincere smile.

At this moment, Ms. Davis looked at her. “Ms. Collins, what is it? Are you unhappy?”

Delilah smiled and shook her head. “No!”

“Then you--?”

Delilah smiled again and put down the magazine. “It’s nothing!”

“I think that Mr. Pattinson is willing to help this time because he feels sorry for you, Ms. Collins! Although he doesn’t say it, I can tell!” Ms. Davis said.

Upon hearing this, Delilah turned her head and looked at Ms. Davis. “How would he? In his heart, there’ll forever only be one person, and it’s someone that can never be replaced!”

Ms. Davis thought about it and said, “The things that one can’t have are always the best. That’s what most men think. However, why should one be so persistent for someone who’s already gone? I think that what’s best now is to grab hold of Mr. Pattinson’s heart!”

Delilah glanced at her upon hearing her words.

At this moment, Ms. Davis walked over. “People that are gone will be forever gone. Maybe he will still remember her for now, but time will always wash away everything. Mr. Pattinson can’t forever live in the past. He’ll definitely need someone to guide him out this sad period. I believe that even Mr. Pattinson will appreciate this person!”

Delilah could not help but admit that Ms. Davis’ words seemed to be magical. Delilah, who was previously devastated, seemed to be inspired after hearing this.

Yes.

It was indeed so.

“On the contrary, I think that it’s a good thing that Mr. Pattinson can be this infatuated. This means that he’s loyal. Only a man like this is a good man!”

The more Ms. Davis spoke, the more energized Delilah felt. “Then what do you think I should do?”

Ms. Davis smiled sweetly. “I think that you should just get engaged since it has already been announced!”

“But all of this is fake. It’s just an act!”

“However, there’s a chance that you can turn this act into reality. Nothing is impossible!”

Delilah nodded and slowly smiled. “I understand!”

“So, Ms. Collins, you have to take good care of yourself now. Then you can get engaged with Mr. Pattinson once you’re discharged!”

Delilah nodded. “I understand!”

……

When Lyla read this news, she was stunned for a long time.

She did not know what to say.

The last time Lyla saw the news about them, it was just guesses made by the reporters. However, this time, the news was announced by Mark and the M.K. Corporation.

It seemed like this was the truth.

Her love had to eventually end, while new people would eventually come.

Lyla did not feel jealous or sad. She was utterly calm. No matter what Mark did, she would just give him her blessings.

She hoped that he could live happily.

At this moment, someone walked over. “Lyla, are you free this Friday?”

“Uh, what’s the matter?”

The person in front of her was their company’s president. He was in his thirties and seemed to be a gentleman. He had treated Lyla quite well since she started the job.

“Uh, there’s something that will need your help!”

Although Lyla would not consider herself to have sharp eyes, she could still tell that the person in front of her had some feelings for her. However, he was not a bad guy, nor would he scheme anything against her. Not only that, he had always treated Lyla well and been helpful to her.

After thinking about it, Lyla nodded. “Mmhm, yes!”

“Then can you leave your time on Friday for me?”

Lyla nodded.

“Alright, then it’s confirmed. I’ll be picking you up then!”

“Alright!”

Lyla did not ask about the matter and just agreed with him. At that moment, her heart was not focused on this matter at all.

Lyla did not feel uncomfortable, nor did she feel any hatred. However, she could not help but have some regrets and sadness in her heart.

……

“Lyla!”

“What’s the matter?”

“Well, Mr. Pattinson doesn’t seem comfortable. What should I do?!”

Upon hearing this, Lyla’s heart skipped a beat. “What’s the matter?”

“I think it’s a… stomachache?!”

“Where’s J?”

“I don’t know where he is… But Mr. Pattinson doesn’t seem fine!”

“There’s some medicine in the third drawer of the cabinet in his office. Bring it to him and feed it to him!” Lyla said.

Upon hearing this, Amanda nodded. “Oh, okay, I’ll get to it!”

After hanging up the phone, Amanda rushed into Mark’s office again. Mark looked at her suspiciously as she immediately went to the cabinet to find the medicine.

Amanda then rushed to Mark’s side and used the landline to make a call. “Bring a cup of warm water here immediately!”
